Sins of the Father

*Once the face dissolves, the rest of the Cordysin collapses. The dome also falls apart. The base of Bevelle turns into a hodgepodge of faces, each of his arms becoming long claws with spindly fingers. The crest on his chest begins to glow & pulse. Finally, the mist around them dissolves.*

<I've come this far, what makes you think you can defeat me? I'll kill you all, & then take to the sea to regenerate...along with my new Aeon!>

Ingrid casts Meteor on Bevelle, hoping to hurt him while he was monologing.

Ark: <No...more pancakes... Ma, I'm busy fighting Sin...*snore*>

*She manages to hit Ark with a Meteor, killing him. A few of the faces on Bevelle dissolve into Pyreflies. One of the remaining ones casts Osmose on Ingrid while one of the claws swipe at her. Luna & Senthose slash at the other claw. Bevelle casts Reflect on all of his parts (lol).*

*Hitomi casts Raise on Ark and Dispel on one part of St. Bevelle.*

*Ark stands up, yawning.*

Ark: <Goooood morning and thank you.>

*He runs over to the claw attacking Ingrid and stabs a dagger at it.*

*The claw that took a swipe at Ingrid is dispelled & stabbed. Luna & Senthose are hacking at the other one. One of the heads casts poison on Hitomi, then Bevelle casts Reflect on her. Another head silences Ark.*

~All buffs have worn off!~

*Hitomi reflects an Esuna off of one of the reflected parts and Dispel on another.*

*Luna recasts Hastega as Bevelle takes a swipe at Hitomi & Senthose hacks one of his arms off. The crest glows & the remaining arm heals fully. Bevelle begins gathering some kind of red smog in front of him.*

Ingrid uses Phantasm on Bevelle.

*This destroys all of the faces & re-lacerates the arm. The crest also cracks. Said crest glows, regenerating some of the faces as Senthose chops the arm off. The red mist explodes outwards over the entire party. Meanwhile, all of Sin's eyes around them push upwards on stalks & turn red, firing large lasers at the Final Aeon. They swivel madly around, looking at each member of the party in turn.*

~Everyone but Senthose is Cursed! Senthose is in Critical Condition!~

OOC: Curse means you can't use Overdrives.

*Hitomi casts Esuna on herself then Luna.*

*Ark's silenced, which isn't much of a problem seing as he was out of MP anyway. He hurls a Grenade at one of the eyes.*

*The Esuna bounces off of her. Senthose heals himself, then destroys another eye with a Magma Blast. The eyes then shoot at Ark, Luna, & Hitomi. After taking a hit, Luna stabs Bevelle's crest, causing it to dim.*

~Luna is in critical condition!~

*Hitomi casts Curaga on Luna.*

*Ark drinks a Potion before slashing at one of the eyes.*

*The eye Ark is after shoots him. Bevelle gathers a large amount of green energy & the core glows once more before Senthose slashes Bevelle's chest, causing it to shatter.*

Bevelle<Damnit...just a little longer! I can outlast them! It's almost ready!>

*With that, a twisted cage of helixes emerges from Sin's flesh, surrounding Bevelle. Dozens of flesh flowers open up along it, casting Osmose on the reflected Bevelle. Luna uses an Ether on Ingrid.*

Ingrid uses Meteor on Bevelle, knowing it'll cut through his reflect.

*Ark gets mad and tosses his only Fire Gem at the flower cage.*

*Hitomi casts Dispel on Bevelle then Holy.*

*Bevelle is enveloped in a white light, healing his more major burns. By this point, all of his monsters are gone & much of his coat's torso is ripped away, revealing a thatchwork of lacerations, abrasions, & burns. And a big ol' hole where his Crest used to be. He also takes the time to hit the party with another Ultima, launching all but Senthose into critical condition. The warriors stab him in the throat.*

<This will not be! I am older than Yevon itself! I will not be outdone by some amateur summoner team! I am Saint Bevelle, my will be done!>

*Ark uses his Al Bhed Potion, fully healing the entire party and removing Curse(?) and any other status effects from them. He then slashes at St.Bevelle while trying to Steal from him.*

Ingrid uses Flare on Bevelle.

~Obtained Dark Matter!~

*Senthose groupcasts Curaga as Bevelle uses Ultima again. By this point, his skin is almost completely black & it's beginning to crack, showing a bright white light underneath.*
