Sins of the Father

Ingrid follows Hitomi towards the wall.

*It lets out another stream of poison gas. Inside, Senthose & Luna realize the gas goes both ways & there's a heavy-ass shell on the base of the Cordysin.*

Ingrid uses Aeroga to clear out the gas again, and makes her way to the wall. Assuming that the gap Luna and Senthose got through is still open, Ingrid travels to the other side and meets up with them.

*Hitomi goes to catch up with the others.*

*Everyone finds out that the gas is released on this side as well, & Senthose had jumped in front of Luna to shield her. The walls extend to form a dome over them & releases more. Meanwhile, Luna starts stabbing into the shell at the base of the Cordysin while Senthose covers her, attempting to pry it off.*

Ingrid uses Blizzaga on the shell, hoping the ice might act as a wedge to help pry it open.

*Her eyes shut, Hitomi casts Blizzaga hoping to pierce through the shell.*

*Ark approaches the others, trying to back away from the gas.*

Ark: <How's it going?>

*Ark is afflicted with sleep, Hitomi poison, & Ingrid silence. Senthose finally manages to tug the shell off, stabbing into what looks like a beating heart underneath. As it dissolves into Pyreflies except for a sapling-like stalk, the Cordysin sways, half of it crashing back down onto Sin & fusing back into it. Twisted eyes & a jaw full of sharp rows of teeth form in the new base. It also sprouts 4 mounted Flesh Flowers, which start firing lasers at them.*

*Ark is snoring loudly.*

*Hitomi casts Esuna on herself and Ingrid.*

*After everyone is hit by lasers, the walls emit more gas. The jaws grab Luna's spear when she tries to stab it &, up above, Bevelle is charging something.*

*Hitomi casts Aeroga to dispel the gas and Holy on St. Bevelle.*

*ZzZzZzZ...*

*As there is no longer any place to dispel it to, this just swirls it around, spreading it faster. Also, the Holy spell hits the top of the dome, blowing a hole in it.*

Ingrid uses Aeroga on the gas, and Meteor on Bevelle.

*The spell fizzles out before it reaches him. Meanwhile, the group is hit with Ultima. Luna slices of a Flesh Flower, which takes to the air & shoots at Ingrid. The others shoot at her.*

*Ark rolls over in his sleep after being hurled around by a boatload of enemy spells. He may also be dead.*

Ingrid dives out of the way of the lasers, while Flaring the flower that shot at her.

OOC: Heh, I meant to type, "The others shoot at the group." Something to that effect.

*Luna stabs into another flower, destroying it. The remaining flowers shoot at her & she blocks.*

"Do you mind helping?"

<Contrary to popular belief, the Final Aeon doesn't have infinite power. I'm saving up for when we reach Bevelle.>

Ingrid flares another flower.

*Hitomi casts Holy on the side of the dome.*

*The dome pretty much just collapses, so Luna stabs the last flower. The face growls at them.*

*Hitomi casts Holy on the face.*

Ingrid casts Meteor on the face.
