Kentaro: [I wonder...]

*Kentaro takes aim at the white light and fires. Kari still firing at the dragon.*

*James gets up and quickly rushes toward the dragon head-on, hitting its head with the sword.*

*Derek notices that Kentaro and Kari are aiming at the white light, and decides to attack it as well. He runs toward it and leaps into the air, activating his Zan ability.*

Derek: <Pulling out all the stops!>

*He brings down his sword into the light and falls backwards, exhausted.*

"Watch out!"

*Jade dives into Soul, rolling them both a few yards over.*

*Jade pushing Soul out of the way actually saves her, since a spear wouldn't do much against a fireball that is, again, the size of a freaking horse. The tail slams Derek into a wall. James' hit doesn't phase the dragon at all. The shots fly through the light and it disappears. In a matter of seconds, the dragon's scales disappear, revealing it's soft red skin. The rock does not disappear. Noticing the deactivation of his armor of scales, the dragon breaks into a rampage, breathing a massive gust of flames towards Kari and Kentaro, which does not hit them but breaks the barrier, shattering it into pieces that disappear. It also hammers its tail down onto Jade and Soul, then proceeding to fire a fireball at Allina and the soldiers*

Creed blocks the fireball then runs for Alto's sword which he thing throws with considerable force.

Alto leaps into the air now that the dragon's scales are gone and catches his blade, "The light courses through me, now, turn to dust under my blade, Phantom Savagery!" With a swing of his sword slashes of light appeared all around the dragon before exploding. For the finishing blow Alto spun mid air and brought his sword down in a cleaving motion fueled by the power of the Aeldi running through him. If it hit the dragon would be bisected in addition to all the damage it had already taken.

"We gotta move!"

*Jade dodges the dragon's tail as she tries to get to Soul and get them away.*

*The two open fire on the dragons body.*

*Derek gets to his feet and sheathes his sword, and uses it as a momentary crutch. He realizes the dragon is exposed and turns to James.*

Derek: <Give it all you've got! Haste!>

*He uses the white magic on the young swordsman.*

*James jumps away and away from the dragon's range.*

James: <I'm getting tired again....>

*The Aeldia Arte, along with the shots, damages the vulnerable dragon heavily, and it falls unconscious, turning into one hell of a big sphere of light that fades away.*

*The holster their guns and Kentaro immediatly squats in front of Kari examining her scraped knees.*

Kentaro:<None of you would happen to be carrying band-aids, would you?>

Alto drops sword down and grins, "Weeeee!" and fist pumps.

Creed facepalms.

*Derek sighs in relief and walks back toward the group.*

Derek: <Good job everyone. Is anyone badly hurt?>

*Allina, Ari and the second soldier walk to them and Allina points her staff at Kari's knees, strings of blue light enveloping and healing them. She stumbles back*

Allina: <Phew, I'm tired.>

*She looks at Soul as Ari lifts her in his arms*

Allina: <She's been seriously overdoing her magic...I think she'll be okay with some rest. This seems to be a dead end, could the dragon have been the source of the energy? We should also find Crone.>

"I don't think the dragon was the source" Creed says.

"I get the feeling it was guarding something" Alto adds.

*Kentaro falls backwards, sitting on the ground.*

Kentaro:<Probably shouldn't try taking a break, something else will probably jump out of nowhere.>

*Kari sits down beside him.*

"What... what are the odds of that happening?"

"About the same as the odds of you tempting fate by saying that" Creed hangs a lampshade over what Kari was saying.

*James straps the sword back onto his back and leans against a wall.*

James: <I haven't been this tired in awhile...>

Derek: <Seriously, where'd Crone go? This is troubling.>

*He tries to find some way Crone could have gotten out.*

Allina: <Now that I think of it... I haven't seen him since we fell down into that chamber back there... At any rate, he is probably all right, let's just go back and find him.>

*White mist slowly starts invading the room, flowing out of the two tunnels the groups had come from*

Allina: <What is... FIRE ALERT!>
