"I don't understand. I've never even used mine, but somehow it means I'm more suited to be a Captain than someone who really and truly deserves to be a one. It doesn't make sense at all to me."

"Okay then" Kira said before turning back to his 4th Seat and firing a Shakkaho at her.

Atsuko expected another attack and used a Shunpo to avoid the Shakkaho. When she moved out to the right of the attack, allowing it to explode on the ground without result, Kira was already waiting and slashed at her back. She responded by swinging her blade around behind her and blocking with both hands on the hilt.
"Excellent!" Kira smiled before hopping backwards and leaping back into attack . Atsuko had only a moment to prepare before she was hit with an onslaught of attacks.
She received another rip on her top and lost a tiny bit of her fringe before her Captain's blade clashed with hers and they were suddenly still.

"Hainawa!" He heard his subordinate yell.
"Horin" Kira responded quickly and calmly, his orange hued tendril lashing it's way through the weaker Kido aimed at him and wrapping around his 4th Seat's torso.
With her arms being held to her side she could no longer use her blade so the fight was over.
"That was a good fight, Chiryo-shi" Kira told Atsuko as she dropped to her knees, "Thank you."
"No... thank you, Captain" Atsuko replied, sounding a little tired, "...for giving me your time and sparring with me."
Kira just smiled down at her and began walking off, dispelling the kido holding her down with a flick of his wrist.

*Noah had already fucked off because that was boring & stupid.*

*Taiyo takes a step back.*

"What?"

"Are we done?" Atsuko called out to Kira.
"Yes" Kira nodded, still walking away, "I have other things to do."

*Rangiku grabs Taiyo's wrist & marches her out to the training grounds.*

<If this is the only way to make you see, fine. We'll see which one of us has more power.>

*Taiyo squrims and tries to pull free.*

"I don't want to fight!"

Atsuko lifted herself back to her feet and sighed.
Maybe if I had used stronger Kido I could have won? That would have been pretty good- beating my own Captain at a sparring match. Somehow I don't see it happening though...
She rubbed the back of her head and began striking vertically downwards with her Zanpakuto repeatedly to exercise her arms.

Kira found himself a spacious, empty room for himself and sat down cross-legged.
This place will do. I'm ready for a captain's meeting, so I can practice alone for a while.
He slapped his hands together, palm to palm with his thumbs pointed at his face, and began chanting quietly to himself.

*By this point, they're on the training grounds. Rangiku lets go, drawing her sword.*

<Too bad. Now, take out your Zanpakuto.>

*Black ice starts forming around Basidius and the three large clawed arms. Aera Sonido's on screen.*

Kira stood up and wiped his forehead. He had basically succeeded in what he had been trying to do, so he decided it was time to head to the captain's meeting.
He wondered out of the empty room and walked in the direction of the first division barracks.

Atsuko was still on the training grounds, repeatedly swinging her blade.

*Hesitating she draws her sword.*

"But..."

*When he arrived, everyone was present except for Nel & Lilith.*

*Rangiku Flash Steps up to her & slashes with a downward stroke.*

<Oh? Are you here to challenge me for the Throne, as well?>

Kira nodded to the various captains as he moved to take his place in the lines.

*Taiyo blocks and jumps back.*

Noctis looks at the hand sanitizer and lets out a long sigh, "Since when were you so stingy?"

Atae shook her head, "No, I don't want to try you, I want you to be a sane, and level headed person and let a doctor examine you, but you're too busy cowering in a closet, going to the bathroom in a can."

Yue's healing off screen and will rejoin the battle shortly.

Aera: <I'm here to punch your fungus face in.>

*She starts shaving off Basidius' spiritual energy through the ice.*

L"Look. I have a problem. I admit it. It's just a problem I have no interest in solving."

*A butterfly flies into her window.*

L"Apparently, there's a Captain's Meeting. I'll catch up with you guys later. The booze closet is booby-trapped."

*With that, she Flash Steps out of the house.*

*Some of Basidius's arms lengthen, bashing in the ice & tearing it off.*

<There can be only one punishment for those who would defy the Lord of Hueco Mundo, & that is death by torture!>

*The purple cloud around Basidius is getting exponentially larger, due to his increase in size. A tentacle bursts out of the ground behind Aera, trying to stab her in the back.*

*Lilith arrives at the Captain's Meeting & waves at Kite.*

"Hey, man, long time no see."

*Rangiku points at Taiyo.*

<Six Rod Light Prison!>

A blade smacks the tentacle back as Yue re-emerges on the scene. His wound isn't fully closed yet but he's no longer in danger of bleeding out. Though this isn't visible due to the bone armor covering over it. Yue stands back to back with Aera. "Look, you don't like me. I get that. Right now though we have a mutual enemy so let's fight about hating each other later and fight this asshole now!"

"Bakudō # 21. Sekienton!"

*Taiyo slams her palms on the ground and a cloud of red smoke covers the area.*

"Hey" Kira smiled back, "How was your mission?"

Atsuko finally got bored of just hitting air and went looking for a manikin or something else she could beat up.

*Lilith ignores him, like a boss.*

Unohana<I'm glad you've all gathered.>

L"Wait, what about Neliel?"

Unohana<The Central 46 has ruled that Arrancar cannot be present at meetings dealing with choosing new Captains.>

L"What? That's not fair! That's ridiculous! That's--"

N"Lilith! There's nothing she can do about it."

*Rangiku's blade dissolves, becoming a floating cloud of ash that begins to circle the area.*

*Basidius charges a Cero at his mouth.*

"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!"

*She draws some symbol in the air, while her body permeates a red energy.*

"Bakudō # 9. Geki!"

*That same red energy engulfs Rangiku's body, paralyzing her.*
