God Yet Lives

*Iris watches Aera get punched.*

Iris: <Haha... there she goes.>

*Iris turns to the Soul Reaper.*

Iris: <But I must ask... who are you, exactly?>

"So that leaves you and me huh Astarte?" Yue sighed.

Enkidu blasted the oncoming sand with a Cero and tried to get out of the hole before he was buried. He also continued his flaming barrage against Senthose with his axe.

Astarte, who was standing in the doorway and frowning, only nodded.

"I've been an asshole... sorry."

Kite: <Captain Kite Braudel, at your--Oh wait, I'm supposed to deal with you too.>

*Kite draws his Zanpakuto and holds his free hand out towards Iris.*

Kite: <"Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth... and... temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!" Hado #33, Sokatsui!>

*He releases a large energy wave from it towards Iris.*

*Taiyo takes a small sip, trying to hide she doesn't like it at all.*

"Under the table. She's cute like that."

"I'll make whatever you want. Though I might make some French Toast for myself."

*Those two assholes are buried in sand, Enkidu being partially buried, his limbs & head mostly exposed. Senthose dives like a squid, disappearing under the surface. His blade emerges, aiming a stab at one of Enkidu's eyes.*

*Ven shoots a glare at Taiyo like she betrayed her. Rangiku looks under the table, her face already starting to get a little red. She then holds the bottle in front of her face.*

<What are you doing down there? Do you feel left out? Here, have some sake.>

Enkidu jerked his head out of the way and breathed a copious amount of flames onto the blade.
He then pulled a free hand out of the sand, a sword of flames appearing in his grasp, and stabbed down into the sand where the blade had come from.

Astarte's frown softened and she walked back inside to sit down.
"I've also been intolerant. I don't like change. Sorry."

"Yeah. I can see where you're coming from there."

*Iris sonidos out of the way and into the air, where he punches the air, a bala shooting out from his fist and towards the Soul Reaper named Kite.*

*Kite flashsteps behind Iris, taking advantage of the fact he's airborne to stab at his back with his Zanpakuto.*

*Iris draws his Zanpakuto with his right hand and activates Hierro, catching Kite's sword with his left hand, leaving only a small scar on his palm. With his free hand, he slashes at Kite's shoulder.*

*Kite flashsteps back down onto the roof and releases his Shikai, his Zanpakuto turning into a bladerang that he hurls at Iris at high speed.*

*All that's left in the crater is a half-melted sword. Pillars of black smoke begin emerging from the sand all around Enkidu. Followed shortly after that, a lightning bolt bursts from the soil, sillohetting a figure with glowing red eyes.*

S"I suggest you take a deep breath. And hold it."

A"Wow, this sinkhole must be 300 feet deep. How did you know where to find it?"

S"I memorized the location of all of my old dens, just in case they were ever needed. In fact, one of them served as the base for Death's Gorge."

*Iris sonidos out of the way, appearing a few steps behind Kite. He sighs as he does so.*

Iris: <Is there another way we can do this besides fighting? I really don't want to right now.>

Enkidu hurled the flaming sword at Senthose before leaping into the air again and heading for the top.
"You're friends better keep out of this!" Enkidu yelled, loud enough so that anybody could easily have heard it nearby. "This is between us!"

Astarte leaned against the wall and closed her eyes, letting out a tired breath.

Yue did the same thing and then sighed on the same breath, "And now you've met my former partner."

"Partner?" Astarte asked, not opening her eyes and looking as though she was falling asleep.

"Not in that way..."

"You aren't the first despot I've met who regressed to whining whenever he was outmaneuvered & overpowered."

*Senthose counters with his lightning before generating an electric "grate" to cover the sinkhole about halfway up.*

"Don't mind that, by all means, continue escaping. So, as I was saying, I crushed all of them without the slightest consideration of their pleas & excuses. What makes you think that you will be any different?"

Mortal released anyway, "Do you want to do this on your own Senthose, because that asshole killed someone who was quite helpful to me, and I really want to rip him apart because of it."

Noctis smiled, "I'll have what you're having."

*Taiyo shrinks back a ways.*

"Ummm, Venezuela? Don't we have to get back to Urahara's soon?"

"Now that he says he doesn't want you involved, I'd actually prefer it that way. Just don't touch the lightning. The poison is made specifically for him, it's useless on anyone else."

<Aww, but it seems like you just got here.>

"I already said I'd make whatever you wanted."

"Sorry... We'll err... I'll come visit you again."

Mortal nodded and hopped the lightning fence, launching a punch at Enkidu's face. The back of his head would have to contend with the much larger dragon fist.
