Reiter: <Watch out!>

*Reiter springs to his feet and turns around, running in between Azuma and Parker and slashing at him.*

Reiter: <Who are you people?>

*Parker leaps back and casts Tanglevine on Mimiru, while Rhea steps back and starts summoning Golem.*

Rhea: <"Earth-minded soul, protect us! Golem!">

Sorrel moves quickly to wipe the goblins out with twin sanguine swords.

"We ought find a chemist in Zaland. Mayhap we can get confirmation as to whether or not the Princess has been that way, while we're at it."

Sab rips the hem of her shawl, and uses it to bandage herself, "Right, well, lead the way..." She said, drained of energy.

Zac nodded, "Agreed. Lets go then." He said, walking off towards Zaland. Iliad stayed with Sab to make sure she could walk well enough on her own.

Mortal is greeted at the front yard by Noctis, "Mortal, how goes it?"

"Well enough," Mortal answered, "Is everyone home?"

"Yes, though I imagine you could sneak Euryale to your room if you're quiet enough."

"What? Why would I-- I need to speak to them, not sneak away from them."

"They're in their room. I believe mother has finally fallen asleep, so whatever you have to discuss can be done in peace."

*Euryale scratches the back of her head.*

"Should I...I don't know...stay here?"

*When they get to Zaland, the first thing they find is not a chemist. Actually, it's a boy in a ripped up Lion Knight cape standing in front of the gate, facing off with a more formal-looking Lion Knight guarding it while an archer on either side watches the exchange. Fortunately for Sab, her wound healed up much better than any of them had expected.*

Knight<I'll ask you one more time, boy: Where did you acquire that uniform?>

"The same place you acquired your thugs--the Corpse Brigade."

Archer 1<This conversation is going in circles. Mayhap we should just kill him & leave the Templarate to sort matters out? He IS spouting blasphemy.>

Archer 2<Over there...that one has a gun. Could be the machinist.>

James: <Uh, right.... precisely how much?>

*Azuma attacks with Rend Speed and Mimiru attacks with Aurablast. Taiyo continues the dance.*

*Reiter attacks with a downward slash. Parker takes advantage of the fact Mimiru has probably been inflicted with Stop and runs towards Taiyo, slashing at her. Meanwhile, Rhea is still in the process of summoning Golem.*

*Because Word of God says otherwise, Mimiru attacks Parker with an Aurablast and chases after her. Word of God, also states Rend Speed hit, so Azuma attacks with a plain old attack.*

Zac puts his hands up, "I assure you, I'm no Machinist."

"We're simply trying to get to Lionel," Iliad added, knowing a fight might further injure the already wounded Sab, "We don't want any issues."

Noctis shrugged, "I don't know, what are you planning on asking father about?"

"I wish to travel abroad with Euryale for a time," Mortal explained.

Noctis nodded, "Yes, I'd imagine father would want to meet your soon to be traveling companion."

At this time Divum walked out of his room and down the staircase to meet the girls at the lobby, "Who would I want to meet?"

Mortal bowed, "Euryale," She said, motioning to said woman, "I wish to travel with her for a time."

"The young lady from earlier," Divum studied her for a time, "From the stories Mortal has told me of you, I guess I should have expected this. What do you think Noctis?"

"She is a splendid person, and as someone who has traveled with her myself, I am confident Mortal will be safe with her." Noctis said matter of factly.

"Then far be it for me to deny you your wish, just do your best to stay safe." And with that, Divum went back up to his room.

*Euryale spent that whole exchange looking at each of them in turn in confusion.*

"So...I guess we'll be leaving in a few days?"

*After those attacks connect, Golem finally comes dancing out of the sky before vanishing in a puff of magic.*

Archer1<Could be a ploy. Sneak into the provincial capital unmolested. Then it will be our necks on Golgallada instead of the mercenary's.>

L"Could someone kindly explain to me what is going on?"

*The boy turns around.*

R"I owe no explanations to the Southern Sky."

L"You have something against the Order?"

R"No, or rather yes, but I hold all of the Orders in contempt."

L"Well...good luck with that."

Archer2<I agree. There is too much on the line to be generous. What say you, Captain?>

Knight<...Kill every one that doesn't wear the colors of the church. Detain the rest if possible. If not, kill them as well, & leave the Father to sort them out.>

"I'm tired of this" Sorrel returns to the caravan.

James: <But... I don't know how to build stuff.>

OOC: A puff of magic? How gay is that?

*Azuma attacks again. Taiyo stops dancing as some bitch is getting in her grill and proceeds to stab at Parker or whomever. Both thieves are pretty jank. Mimiru attacks with Pummel.*

<Repairs will be a while, my lord. And it might be advisable to wait until morning to continue the rest of the way. But perhaps you may be able to make it to Eagrose by nightfall, if you continue on your own.>

Sab put out her hands, "No, stop this, I am under the the orders of the church, and I have critical news to report!"

Zac and Iliad both seem less hopeful about avoiding the fight, and grab their weapons, unsheathing them and waiting for something to spark a fight.

"Goodbye Euryale," Noctis said as she excused herself to her room.

Archer(F)<Aye. Her manner of dress suggests that she was the Princess's body double.>

Knight<My orders stand. If she interferes, consider it a step towards the guillotine.>

R"You're in no hurry to hear about the Princess's abduction. Mayhap the church had a hand in that, as well?"

Knight<Mind your tongue, boy! Do not speak of things you know naught about!>

L"You don't have to answer to him, but perhaps you should compose a speech for the gods you preach of. You've already marked yourselves as enemies of the Southern Sky. -I-, for one, will not stay my blade!"

*The archers notch their arrows as Lilith runs towards the knight & Roatha takes a couple swings at him, both of which he blocks with his sword.*

E"Sure. I've been staying at a slum tavern. You should be able to recognize it when you see it. It lacks curb appeal, but it has a kind of quaint charm."

*Rhea starts summoning Shiva. Reiter slashes back at Azuma, while Parker casts Tanglevine on Mimiru after stepping away from them.*

Reiter: <Why are you people even attacking us?!>

Mortal nodded, "Okay, you could stay here though. I won't charge you like a tavern would."

"Damn, damn, damn..." Sab muttered as she cast haste on herself, and Iliad. Zac had already followed after Lilith, using Barrage on one of the Archers aiming at her. Iliad used hurled a fire bomb at the other Archer.

~Zaland~

*The archer is actually well outside of throwing range. So he might want to hold on to that. The one that is Barrage'd is in critical condition, so he jumps down on the other side of the wall, & fires an arrow over it at Lilith. The knight stands his ground. Behind the wall, they can hear magic being charged.*

"I don't want to be a burden."

Sab rushes towards the wall, and Gravigas the fucker on the other side of it. Likewise, Iliad makes way for the other archer, and throws the fire bomb when he is in range. Zac levels his gun at the Knight and uses Arm Shot.

"You wouldn't be a burden at all," Mortal said, "If anything, you're saving me a walk. Not that, um, I didn't want to walk you back, or that I only want you to stay because it is easier for me... I'm sorry that came out horribly..."

"Since when was your tongue so silver, Mortal?" Noctis chimed in, as she walked from her room to the dining room to get something to eat. Mortal's face was red as a result.

~Zaland~

*Zac misses. While Sab is charging, a bright light shines on the other side of the wall. The other archer runs across the wall, shooting at Illiad.*

L"White Magicks & Time Magicks. I hope they have no wizards, else we may be in trouble."

R"It doesn't matter. We'll just beat down every last one of them, all the same!"

*Roatha finally gets a hit in on the knight, but is slashed back. He then steps aside for Lilith to take a swing, which is guarded via a shield.*

"I just didn't know if I was...well, if you say it's okay, then I'd love to."

Zac gets into a better position and fires off another Arm Shot.

Iliad pelts the fucker shooting him with a fire bomb.

Mortal smiled, "Splendid, I'll show you to the guest room."

"Why not show her your room?" Noct asked as she walked back to her room. She forgot to shut her window, and didn't want it to be too cold in there.

Mortal blushed, "I'm sorry, would you rather come to my room?"

"Whoa, Mortal, being a bit forward there, aren't we?" Noctis chided, heading back to the dining room.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply anything, perhaps I should just show you to the guest room..."

"And now you're just going to leave her in the guest room after telling her you'd take her to your room, tsk tsk," Noctis said on her way back to her room. She forgot to clear her desk.

"I'm sorry, um, perhaps I can show you my room, then the guest room."

"Inviting girls to your room, then kicking them out once you're done? That is cold, Mortal," Noctis said, going back to the dining room to retrieve her food.

"Dammit, Noctis, would you quiet down, and quit messing with my head!" Shouted a flustered Mortal.

Sadly Noctis wasn't even going to say anything then, as she crossed the distance from the dining room to her room the last time, as her mouth was full of food anyway.

*Euryale scratches her head.*

E"Actually...do you have a bath? I don't want to get dirt on the sheets."

*Euryale does, in fact, have a lot of dirt covering her arms & legs, & some peculiar stains on her leather armor thing. Also a kind of oily, ratted hairdo thing going on.*

*He hits the wall.*

R"Should we move to give your friend a clearer shot? "

L"No. Zac, wasn't it? The two of us SHOULD be able to take care of one knight. Concern yourself with the archers & mages."

*She grabs a swing from the knight & Roatha takes this moment to swing his weapons back behind his waist & slash him in a cross-attack. On the other side, the graviga finally lands on the archer & she kicks the bucket. Iliad can see a male white mage begin charging a spell in the distance & run behind a building, well out of reach. The archer keeps running, firing at Zac this time. A female Black Mage near the wall begins running away, charging a spell. Also, there's a third archer on top of a building behind the wall, who walks forward & fires at Illiad. He is well out of reach. But beyond that, he can't see any other hidden enemies.*

*Azuma parries the attack.*

"Found a posting that said to take care of some thieves. If that's a problem, take it up with whomever posted the bill."

*Mimiru attacks with an Aurblast while Taiyo goes back to the Witch Hunt dance.*
