God Yet Lives

"You had better be right..." Astarte took one last look over the edge of the platform and silently cursed herself before turning as Noah appeared.

Enkidu yelled, blasting the dust and debris far away before scanning the area for Soi Fon and letting out a chuckle.
"No where to hide, little one..."

*Senthose tosses one to Noah.*

S"Put one on. We've worked out that they prevent detection by the Hell Guards."

N"Do the others have them?"

S"Mortal and Sab do. The rest do not, which is why we have to get down to the next level of Hell to see that they get them."

N"I do not understand. If they have this technology at their disposal, why did they wait until now to invade?"

S"I believe that they could only make one or two from the materials available in Hell. When Aamon blasted a hole in the barrier between the worlds, they began searching for the materials to mass produce them."

*Suddenly, Soi Fon, everywhere.*

Soi Fon<Did you honestly believe I was afraid of my opponent SEEING me?>

Enkidu gritted his teeth and swept his axe in an arc in front of himself, sending a sheet of fire roaring forward to swat some of the clones out of the air.

Kira immediately goes through shikai and into Bankai and while two of the lions charge right at her, the third shreds itself and reforms around her body before exploding.
Meanwhile Kira holds his sword out in front of himself, bringing the python down into a defensive circle in front of him (to defend him from the massive explosion caused by all three lions exploding at once) and starts chanting, blue light forming rapidly around his left hand.

*Senthose & Friends move through the upper atmosphere of Hell, coming to a lake with strange islands like carved flowers. Senthose suddenly stops them & fires a lightning bolt, which coalesces into a ball in midair. Pieces of the sky chip away like loose paint, revealing a woman in a black cloak with a Zanpakuto at her side. Her hair is white, worn long, but tied into a tail at the end that's thrown over her shoulder. She's holding the orb of electricity in one of her hands, like it's a baseball.*

???<Strange. In addition to using the invisibility Kido, I also took measures to keep my electricity and smell from escaping. So how did you find me?>

S"There is a slight tide in the lake below, emanating from where you are standing. I may not be able to feel the power of your many Kidos, but they still leave their mark on your surroundings."

*The clones all vanish. Enkidu finds the chain of Omaeda's wrecking ball thrown around his shoulder. Several other lieutenants appear; a young woman with her hair in a bun, a large-breasted woman with orange hair, & a woman with black hair & glasses. All of these Soul Reapers also fashion Kido chains around various points of Enkidu's body. Hisagi traps Metastacia in a Six Rod Light Prison & does the same. Soi Fon is standing atop a building in the distance, a steel sash tied from her waist to a tower behind her. On her arm, she has what appears to be a big fucking missile, which she levels at Enkidu's center mass & launches.*

Astarte took a place besides Senthose and lifted her palms to face the woman in the black cloak with the white hair.
"Another Soul Reaper?" Astarte scowled, lightning prepared to launch from her hands. "Would she know where they took Mortal and Sab?"

Enkidu took a massive breath and the halo above his head suddenly burned far brighter than before. Around his feet, an explosion of spiritual pressure crumbled and shook the ground. Moments before the impact he threw back his head and let out an ear-bursting roar that sent an excessively powerful shock-wave ripping outwards in all directions- powerful enough to demolish nearby buildings and slow or throw off the missile.
At the same time, flames were projected towards the missile from his axe and were accelerated by the shock-wave.

Mortal uses scales to defend, somewhat, against the explosions. When the dust settles Mortal has a smile on her face, with a small trickle of blood pouring out of a cut in her scalp. Also of note, her entire body is glowing a bright baby blue, her wings only glowing slightly at their base. "Tell me, do you really think you can survive this? Do you even want to?" Mortal asked, slipping into a zen-like defensive stance; not the brutish, tank stance she usually used.

"A special story?" Noct asked, "What do you mean by--" She looked skyward as she noticed Senthose and co.'s shadows enter her field of vision. "Hm, they're down a couple... that can't be good."

"I won't lie to you..." Kira says, the python circle parting so she could see him, "I'm not confident I can win... I may well die here, with that Sab girl... but what is there for me after this? You will not defeat Keter and her men. The Soul Society will burn and all the world will become their domain."
Kira's hand flares blue energy and the python becomes a suit of mist around his body, "So I've thrown everything away- my honour, my friends and possibly my life, for this chance at revenge. Hiryūgekizokushintenraihō!"

The following explosion fills the inside of the sphere and hurls Kira to one side, kept (mostly) from harm by his python suit.

Mortal bifurcated the space of the sphere with a wall of scales, then enveloped her side with more scales, leaving Kira's blase rattling about in his half. Even still, Mortal found herself strained , and panting when the scales faded away. "Revenge... you still don't realize that I did nothing to you, you fool..." She said between breaths. She then noticed that her wings were not completely glowing, as they should have been at that point, only the bottom two, "Damn, excess strain slows me down. I'm going to have to ask that you don't do that again." With that, Mortal went back to her calm stance.

"Nothing?! You're dumber than you look!" Kira laughs a kind of hysterical laugh, "You don't remember killing my captain, bragging about it in front of me and then even after our truce, rubbing salt in the wound with your barbed words?!"
As he speaks two of the wolves form on either side of Mortal (exploding) and the third forms back near Kira. His python also reverts back to it's regular form and eats the third lion.

"Yes, I remember," Mortal said, tanking the explosions in favor of scales just so she could charge faster. "I suggest you fight at your absolute strongest, right this moment," Mortal said, with a small sigh, the sphere reverberating with the small exhale. Mortal closed her eyes as the last bits of her wings began to glow blue.

"How can you blame me for hating you?" Kira demands as the python wraps around her and shoots point blank with the converted energy of the lion before dispersing, "You didn't even make an effort to save that girl who loved you! You're an eyesore!"
He then raises his hand in the air and several spears of light appear around him while he chants. Before firing the spears, he flash steps directly to her and three severing voids rise on either side of her and behind her.
"Die here with me!" He roars, stabbing his blade towards her chest as the spears of light all fire at them.

Alone within the inside of Kira's mind, Tentei sits on the very edge of a crumbling pillar and lets out a sad sigh before sliding off and plunging down into the raging black waters.
The sword itself quivers as it stabs towards Mortal and seems to suddenly release murderous energy.

As Kira was chanting for his kidos, Mortal softly said, "I shall set fire to the rain, for Azazel signals the coming of the apocalypse." Mortal let out a small breath and extended her wings to their full extent, the small motion seemed to shake the air, and blue fire started falling in rain drop sizes. As Kira drew closer, and tried to trap Mortal, the dragon lady smiled, and boxed off the area entirely, making three more walls out of scales to go along with the severing voids.

As Kira stabbed at her she sidestepped and extended her arm so that the blade stabbed through her hand. She pushed her hand through until she gripped the hilt. Mortal pulled Kira closer, and flapped all of her wings at once, creating a thunderous boom that shook their entire world, and an explosion of pure white light washed over the entire sphere, annihilating everything.

When the dust settled, Mortal was flying in the middle of the air, shining only the dimmest blue while she bled and panted. She wiped her mouth of blood and looked down at her hand, finding two feathers in it. One was pristine, the other sullied in blood.

Kira, desperate not to be destroyed without inflicting more damage, twists and jerks the blade as Mortal's hand slides down it and mangles it severely. With his free hand, knowing that there is no more damage he can inflict, he makes the token gesture of back handing her.
As the dust settled what meager remains of Kira's form were left fell to the water but disappeared even before they touched the surface.

Within his inner world, Kira's destroyed body lay at the bottom of of a dried ocean- the shattered remains of pillars scattered around him for as the eye could see.
By his side he could see Tentei sitting cross-legged and rapidly fading away. If he could still speak he would have said goodbye.

Mortal looked down at her mangled hand, watching it as her regeneration went to work, healing it. "That is what you always were, Kira," Mortal said, opening and closing her healed hand, "Flailing about, but accomplishing... Why am I quipping?" Mortal looked over towards where Sab's body lay and rocketed off that way. Mortal landed with enough force to put a crater in the ground and ran a few yards until she was at Sab's side.

The small sheep girl had dropped out of her ressureccion, and was sprawled out in a pool of her own blood. Her unresponsiveness shook Mortal, "Hey, I know you're not dead... You have to wake up now, Sab." Mortal bent down and cradled Sab's head in her lap, using scales to try and stop the bleeding from the long slash from her hip to the hollow hole at her throat. "Are you listening to me?" Mortal asked, her voice hitching, "I said wake--"

Sab gasped, then hacked up some blood, "Mortal, you're crying."

Mortal wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, "No I'm not..."

"Hey, I have a bigger than usual hole in my throat," Sab said, her voice coarse, "Don't make me have to call you a liar."

"Calling me a liar would have been faster than what you just said," Mortal said with a weak smile.

"Be quiet..." Sab closed her eyes, "Thanks for getting him, but, can you get me to Aroma now?"

Mortal wiped her eyes again, and scooped up Sab. With little effort Mortal stood up, and dove down to the lower level of hell.

*Aroma sees Mortab approaching & lets out a strangled cry.*

A"I knew we shouldn't have gone ahead! Look at Sab, she's been sliced open vertically!"

S"Yes, and I suppose you think it mere coincidence she didn't bleed out already. Try to keep up, will you?"

*Ignoring him, she speeds off to the pair.*

S"You seem oddly calm...Binah, right?"

Binah<Increasing your numbers will not lead you to victory. I can defeat one enemy, or one hundred, both with the same move.>

*The missile explodes just before reaching Enkidu, but it doesn't matter, because it spreads so much that it quickly envelopes him, barely registering the shockwave. When it fades, Enkidu finds himself covered in deep lacerations, and markedly slower than he was before. In addition, there's a big chip on his axe. Soi Fon glares at him from her sniping position, redoubling her glare when she notices the sun symbols on the heads of each of the lieutenants. Metastica, of course, breaks free.*

Asmodeus's (sarcastic) voice<My heroes! Wait...do you mean to tell me you aren't here for me? That you've forgotten and abandoned me so easily? How shocking! I can't believe you'd be so heartless!>

*Of course, Asmodeus is standing right behind them, wearing an ear-to-ear sneer. Her cloak has been modified, featuring a low cut, no sleeves, & a strip cut up the side of either leg.*

E"...You're standing on the ground, so why can I not feel it?"

Asmodeus<You're just going to ignore my crushed heart? Ever the brute you are, Euryale!>

"Didn't we rekill that pink haired weirdo?" Noct asked, looking around, "Does he really think we'll fall for the fake Asmodeus thingy again?"

Sab tried to calm Aroma down by saying, "I'm fine, really," but all she managed was to cough up some more blood.

"Aroma, please, I need you to take care of Sab," Mortal said, handing the sheep girl off to Aroma. Mortal then made her way over to Senthose's side, "Did I miss much?"

<How can you be sure it's fake? How can you be sure that the real Asmodeus isn't still alive inside me? Oh, of course I know the answer. But for all you know, you're about to murder your friend for the second time. Or should I say third? Once could argue that you were accomplices to her first death by way of stupidity.>

S"Not really. We were just about to introduce ourselves to Lilith's mother."

Binah<You shouldn't have brought her here. But I suppose I should have expected you to give me yet another mess to clean up.>

*Aroma floats them down to a crosswalk.*

A"This couldn't get any worse! I brought some tools for proper surgery, but only local anesthetic. An operation like this is sure to use almost all of it up."

*As she's talking, she's putting on a mask & digging out some needles from a satchel. She inspects the wound.*

A"That's strange. The bleeding has already mostly stopped."

"Then I guess I'm a really shitty friend," Noct said with a shrug, "But I really don't have time for this."

"Mortal used her scales to stop some of the bleeding; I wouldn't be surprised if Senthose had something to do with it either," Sab said, once again, her voice strained.

Mortal looked at Binah, "Huh, so this is Lilith's mother... I honestly cannot wait until this fight starts and you two start to banter back and forth. 'You're disgusting!' 'Well you're stupid!' 'You're ugly!' 'Your daughter wasn't complaining when I--'. Wait, I shouldn't steal your thunder."

*Binah raises an eyebrow.*

S"You don't look like you're more than average in Flash Steps, hand-to-hand combat, or swordplay. If you made Captain with such basic skills, that must make you a Kido specialist."

Binah<Unfortunately, you are mistaken. Lilith is a Kido specialist. I am something altogether different. Why do you think that Keter tried so hard to recruit me?>

*Senthose tries to step back, but without even moving, Binah shoots him out of the air with a series of invisible blasts.*

Binah<It is because I possess Kido powers that she could only dream of.>

Asmodeus<Neither do I.>

*She reaches into the top of her shirt & pulls out a metal canister.*

Asmodeus<Of course, you notice that I've modified my attire to be immune to your abilities--you called them "FullBring," yes?--well, that isn't the only experiment I conducted from your samples.>

A"That's good to hear. Take some of this, it will calm your nerves."

*She hands Sab a cup of something that looks & smells like bleach.*

"Dammit, get out of my head!" Noct looked around, "I was supposed to think that, not say it out loud..."

"This looks and smells like bleach..." Sab said, not wanting to drink it.

Mortal looked on as Senthose got pelted with invisible things, "Damn, you didn't even get a chance to banter..."

*Senthose makes a valiant attempt not to fall into the lake before a big pillar of water engulfs him & crashes back down. Binah then points at Mortal.*

*Cue an enormous beam of energy the size of a Gran Lagarto Cero rushing at her.*

Asmodeus<And to think, I've been accused of being insane.>

*She twists off the cap of the cannister & empties its contents into his hand: A black doll in the vague shape of a girl.*

Asmodeus<This is a variant of one of my own abilities. Though I won't be using it to control your bodies.>

Mortal sonido strafes to the side of it, then grabs one of her wings and rips it clean the fuck off, turning it back into her sword as it absorbs her other wings as well. With that, Mortal swings an Aliento rugir del fuego del Gran lagarto cero at her.

Noct tries to ignore Zelara, and focus on Asmodeus, launching a lanza at her.

Sab downs it, not stopping to consider how Aroma would know what bleach tasted like.

<Hado 33: Sokatsui.>

*She blocks it with a blast of energy that's 2 or 3 times larger than the previous one. As well, she throws the lightning she obtained from Senthose, which zig-zags around, seeking out Mortal.*

A"I lied about it not tasting like bleach."

*Asmodeus flops the doll around a little. The lanza suddenly veers off to the left & a spike of rock stabs into Euryale's right foot.*

E"What in the world?"

Noct was starting to get very upset with people manhandling her lanzas, so she shot out her cero at Asmodeus.

Mortal surrounds herself in a sphere of scales to block the lightning.

Sab had a sad look on her face, "You lied to me..." She looked on the verge of tears.
