Thiera: Maybe....

*She "sketches" on the ground with her staff, looking down at it.*

Thiera: So...are you two...together?

*Hector walks in on this really awkward moment.*

"Yea, we're in a party," Sab said.

"I think she was implying something else," Mortal said.

*Kelphy decides to put off training for now and glances at the Chaos Gate, but chooses to visit the spell shop first.*

*Barrow stands idle for a bit, thinking about what he should do. He decides to head to the Chaos Gate to do some training.*

Thiera: Like, a full party, or...huh?

*She turns to Mortal.*

Mortal looked shocked, "Or maybe not..."

"No, we've got room."

Hector just stood in silence, glancing from person to person. He considered just leaving, but once again for no particular reason he stayed.

*Kelphy decides to buy a Book of Flood and use it before heading to the Chaos Gate.*

*Barrow enters the keywords he's just read off of a thread on the message boards, "Dog Dancing Eternal Fort Walls", into the Chaos Gate.*

*Monudon continues on his way to the shops*

Monudon: [Think...I'll head to the item shop first.]

Creed nods, "I'll meet you at the chaos gate."

Rune heads for the Chaos Gate.

*Blake finally makes it to the gate, seemingly having just missed some sort of commotion. He shrugs it off and ignores it, heading straight for the gate. Standing in front of it, he stands there, trying to think of keywords to input.*

*Once the party is disbanded, Euryale's ghost shimmers & fades into static.*

Thiera: Oh. Okay. But you've already got a Wavemaster.

*Euryale reappears nearby.*

Euryale: He's not going to be on today. That sucks.

Thiera: What?

Euryale: Sorry, I forgot I was using voice-to-speech software. Are all of you new?

*Barrow appears in an expansive field of dirt. He sees a shimmering gold light in the distance.*

*Monudon arrives at the shop and steps in*

Monudon:< Hm...what to buy.>

*Monudon decides to buy two Recovery Drinks*

Mortal nodded, "I am. Sab isn't, she is level... um, 5."

"Hi, I'm Sab."

Hector finally decided to just walk past this group and approached the Chaos Gate, still unsure of exactly where he wanted to be going. He considered for a few moments before entering the keywords "Dog Dancing Eternal Fort Walls".

Creed makes his way to the chaos gate.

Rune arrives at the gate and looks around.

*Hector Gates In behind a Heavy Axeman. The area is exactly the same as it was in the previous post.*

Euryale: Well, I was in a party, but our Wavemaster turned out to be some PK jerk pretending to be a newbie. So, we have a spot open, if one of you wants to come along.

Thiera: But, then, you trust that we're really who we say we are?

Euryale: You can't just go blowing off every new player because of one bad experience, am I right?

"Hey there," Hector said as he stepped up to the Axeman's side.

"Makes sense," Mortal said, nodding in agreement, "Besides, I just got PK'd, it wasn't that bad."

"If you had spent hours leveling and didn't save you'd have a much different take on the situation," Sab said.

"But then I could just go an replay what I already did..."

Monudon:[ Know that i have these healing items, I may as well head for the Chaos Gate.]

*Monudon starts off to the chaos gate*

Euryale: That is true. But some events can't be repeated, & even though most can, it can be difficult to accomplish a task again. A certain amount of luck enters into the equation--what enemies or items you get--and disappointment can keep someone from mustering up the will to replay an event. That is why people dislike player killers.

"Yea, see, it would be like passing a final exam, then having to retake the class," Sab said.

"Yea, that would suck..."

Creed showed up right around then, "Sorry it took me so long to catch up Euryale."

"Um... are you all trying to form a party?" Rune asked the gathered people in pretty much the most timid voice ever.

Euryale: There's too many people here. You can only have 3 to a party. Although it is possible for more than one party to clear out an area, if you know the tricks. It's just that party chat won't work between the two parties. Then there are the Gott Statues, and special events, which will only reward one party. Also, you'll only get EXP for monsters one of your party members defeated.

Thiera: So why do it at all?

Euryale: For fun, or to conquer an area that would be way too hard ordinarily.

"Well, I just got here, so EXP and loot really doesn't bother me," Mortal said, "I just want to have some fun."

*Kelphy arrives at the Chaos Gate and looks around at the newbies, pondering whether to go train or stay.*
