Mac Anu:

~Chaos Gate~

*All of the level 1 players are here, having just logged in. Sab is also here, as she was waiting for Mortal. From up above, they hear a high-pitched voice.*

Sora: Eenie, meenie, minie...shoop, vrrrr-oom! Ta-DAAA!

*A Twin Blade in a black outfit with purple earth waves down the legs & several belts around the torso lands behind Mortal, having jumped from a roof. He has green hair that's short in the back, but with two long bangs sticking out over a headband with trailing ends. He puts his arms around her from behind. The gesture is revealed to be more threatening when blades emerge from his armored wrists. He speaks in the a slightly lower tone than before, but his text is all fucked up.*

~Shop~

*Kelphy & Rune are on a short side-alley-slash-dock, because they have to buy spells.*

~Back Alley~

*Creed & Euryale have been conned back here by a Wavemaster with canary yellow robes & a matching hat resembling a chicken, with wings covering his ears & a bird head jutting out from the forehead. His staff resembles a long bone with a bird skull on the end. He claimed to be a new player who wanted to make a party, & said he wanted to talk somewhere private. Euryale suggested a strange alley at the very back of Mac Anu, which leads to a small square. Once they got there, he turned around & summoned a Sea Horse with "wings" made out of ice spikes. Now Euryale is a translucent ghost, & also mad.*

Euryale: You dick! Were you looking for a cheap way to get EXP? Well, guess what: Even if you win, people will wise up to your act, & then you'll never be able to join a party & level up. Serves you right, for being a jerk.

Chim: Ha! I'm a solo player, you dumb bitch. I just had my stuff changed to make me look like some idiot newb. I'm actually Level 12. I don't need you or your EXP, I just do it 'cause it's fun.

~Central Bridge~

*Everyone else who happens to be online right now is on a bridge in the middle of the town. About equidistant from all of the shops, the large square in the back of the town, the back alley, & the Chaos Gate, they appear to be deciding to what to do with their time.*

"You're a piece of trash" Creed says rather bluntly. He hadn't been attacked yet but he was next. If this guy was depending on his level to bully people he had three levels on him.

Rune picked his way through the crowd of people on the bridge. He was heading for the Chaos Gate since it meant meeting new players to the game like him.

Something about Alto, & definitely not Silver Knight, heading for the alley.

*Blake was leaning on the edge, looking down at the water, bored and with nothing to do. Usually preferring to solo, he didn't interact with other people much. After a while, he decides that maybe killing some monsters would jog his brain, and so he heads for the Chaos Gate.*

*Monudon walks across the bridge towards the shops*

Monudon:[ Now, what did need to buy again? Ah, who cares. I might as well see what's for sale.]

Noct was simply walking over the bridge, heading into town, presumably to stock up on a few items.

Mortal looks at the guy, "What?"

"He asked for your member address," Sab said, "Maybe he wants to party or something."

"Party?" Mortal asked, "This place has clubs?"

"No, like form a group to do quests and hunt monsters. I told you about this, remember?"

"Oh yeah."

Sora: Smart girl. I'll take yours, too!

*He smiles brightly on the second sentence. Then he moves one of his arms, pressing it against Thiera's throat when she tries to slink away.*

Sora: Stop. It's not nice to ignore people, you know.

*He frowns when more people show up at the Chaos Gate.*

Chim: Whatever. It's just a game, quit being so butthurt.

*He raises his staff, a glyph appearing over his character.*

"Player killing isn't nice though. Sorry but I think I'm going to have to take you down a peg" Creed grins before overhead slashing Chim's summoned monster.

In the mean time Alto seemed to be making way towards where Euryale was PK'd and where Creed was.

Rune twiddles his thumbs and generally looks like a shy n00b.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?" Sab's eyes opened wide when she realized what was going on, "You're a PKer! I'm not giving you my member address! Mortal, don't give him your member address."

"Uh, okay?"

Noct walked into a shop.

Sora: Oh well. If that's the way you want it....

*Mortal's avatar falls to the ground in a monochrome gray before vanishing. The Twin Blade then kneels.*

Sora: You know, she'll just come right back here when she logs in. You're just wasting everybody's time. So, how about it, you two: Let's be friends!

*One of the ice spikes is cracked, but quickly begins to reseal itself.*

Chim: You idiot! Everyone knows summon monsters are invincible, you're just delaying the inevitable.

*Euryale's ghost attacks him. Of course it does no damage, but he lets out a surprised gasp.*

That's when Creed strikes to deliver a spinning body slash at Chim.

Alto seems to stop mid-way there and stand still as if searching for something.

Mortal, presumably IRL, has no clue what the fuck just happened, and tries logging back in.

Sab stands her ground, "No! Now stop being mean to the new players!"

Hector was slowly wandering along the bridge, thinking of what he should do to kill some time. He could find a player to kill, but he was in a lazy mood.

*Sora lowers his voice even more, to a menacing whisper.*

Sora: Have it your way. Don't say I didn't warn you.

*Thiera raises her hand.*

Thiera: I'll give you my member address, um, Mr. Sora.

Sora: I've never been addressed as "Mr." before. But I'll have to take you up on that offer later. Bye-bye.

*Parallel golden rings move up Sora's avatar, which disappears. A similar effect, with rings moving downward, occurs as Mortal logs in. On a distant bridge, she sees a knight-like Blademaster with a horned helmet vaguely resembling a skull. His eyes glow red before he turns & walks away.*

*This player walks past Hector. Hector would recognize him as the Silver Knight, one of the head players of an organization called the Crimson Knights, which voluntarily patrols the game for cheaters & other malicious players.*

*Chim, of course, is knocked down to critical HP in a second, but the summon still gets through, blasting Creed with a torrent of ice spikes & halving his HP. Chim runs past him while he's "frozen" in the spell's animation, & tries to escape up the alley.*

"Shit he's getting away!" Creed runs after him when the spell finishes.

Rune is kind of just staring off into space now.

Mortal looked around, "What the hell happened?"

"He left," Sab said.

"I meant with me."

"Oh, he killed you."

Mortal chuckled, "Didn't stick, I guess."

Hector stared at the Silver Knight out of the corner of his eyes, hoping that he was not looking for him for any reason. He definitely was not in the mood to fight somebody like that.

*Silver Knight just continues on his merry way.*

Thiera: Well, yeah. It's a game. When you die, you just have to log back in. But if you don't save, you lose all of the stuff you got. But you can't lose your default equipment.

*Euryale's poor ghost follows.*

Chim: You won't catch me in time! Once I move far enough away, the battle will be over, & I can Log Out!

*Alto hears the open chat as the freaky chicken Wavemaster rounds the corner.*

"This is like my first day though..." Mortal said, "What sense does it make to kill someone like me? I've got nothing to lose."

"I just want you to know that the game is a lot more fun than what you just saw. It isn't all people being rude like that," Sab looked at Thiera, "Oh, speaking of which, I'm sorry you were dragged into that, are you alright?"

Alto says nothing as he walks forward right as Chim rounds the corner. With perfectly executed timing he aims a slash and goes for the decapitation.

Creed is still chasing unaware that someone else has blocked off Chim's escape.

Rune stares at the silver knight thinking he looks totally cool.

*Since they were a party when Chim turned on them, he is now a ghost.*

Chim: ...Well, this is awkward.

Thiera: I'm fine. I don't know what that guy wanted. To drop you in one blow, he must be several levels higher than you. He doesn't really need you--err--no offense.

"He wanted our member addresses," Mortal answered. "That is what he said."

OOC: What I wouldn't give for Data Drain right now =P

Creed summarily kicks Chim from the party.

Alto says nothing and begins to walk away.

"Who the hell are you?" Creed asks.

"No one" and Alto just walks away.

"Why do people always insist on trying to be the cool silent type?"

*Upon being kicked, the ghost shimmers, before disappearing as static. Euryale shrugs.*

Euryale: Listen, I don't want you to waste a Resurrect on me, why don't I just leave the party. I don't really have anything to lose, I saved a couple of hours ago.

Thiera: That is not the point, I know what he literally wanted, what I don't understand is what he wanted to do with them. Like, if I were forming a party, I would ask you to join me because you have strong physical attacks. But a high level Twin Blade doesn't need that from a couple of newbies like us. We'd just be dead weight.

Hector decided to head for the Chaos Gate, for no particular reason.

"Uh, I don't know," Sab said, "Maybe he just wants a bigger friends list."
