Name: Stefan
Age: 20
Appearance: Stefan wears a cheap grey suit with a black shirt and white tie, as well as a dark grey fedora. He is a man of average height and build with blue eyes and slightly tanned skin. His hair is blonde and shoulder length, and he usually has it tied into a pony tail.
Occupation: Triple Threat Triad Member.
Bending: Firebender.
Bio: Stefan's parents always wanted their son to grow up without exposure to the crime that lurks throughout Republic City. Some would say he was over-protected. However, as he grew into his teen years he started meeting people his parents would call a bad influence. Some of them were apparently involved in different ways with a gang called the Triple Threats. By 13 he had discovered Bending powers, and learnt to use them.
It was around this time that Stefan learned that his parents were paying the Triple Threats money to keep them from trashing their little music store. Stefan felt like this made them hypocrites, though he came to understand the situation. Even so, these developments eventually brought him to be involved with the Triple Threats himself. He helped a friend in the Triple Threats with little jobs and ended up as a lackey of Zolt. He liked the feeling of power he could exert, and felt like a total badass compared to himself as a child.
His parents, ashamed of their total failure at keeping Stefan clean, cut their ties with him. This made him both sad and determined to show them he could do just fine like this.
As well as working for the Triple Threats he has gone through two different jobs to keep a roof over his head. He spent about a year working at a power plant where he was taught lightning redirection, but was fired when he accidently started a potentially deadly fire. Since then he has taught himself some basic lightning generation. He got a job at a corner shop working a night shift, but got fired after he was caught sleeping on the job a third time.
He is currently unemployed and lives in a dingy apartment in Dragon Flats. He hasn't had a lot of work with the gang recently, and called in a few days ago just to let them know he was still around.
Items: A switch blade, steel knuckle dusters and a palm sized bag of finely ground pepper.

Name: Ivan
Age: 30
Appearance: Ivan usually wears the Purist "uniform" of black clothes with a head wrap, but since he's been in custody, it's relatively well-known that he has pale skin, short, black hair that has a tendency to stick up, & very dark eyes.
Occupation: Marksman
Bending: None.
Bio: Before the Purist Leader came to Republic City and organized a non-bender Triad that could effectively compete with the 3 Bending Triads, small groups of nonbenders with anti-bending sentiments would occasionally crop up. Ivan was one of these. An orphan by way of a Satomobile accident, he set out to cheat and steal to get by. Unfortunately, this caused him to run afoul of the Triple Threats. By the time he was 15, all of his cohorts were gone, and he realized that he needed a career change. To this end, he joined the United Forces, where he was found to have a talent for archery & gunpowder mixture. Even so, he was often passed up for promotions because Bending was quote "more efficient." As this trend increased, so did the tendency of his other recruits to get into fights and "accidents." His superiors became concerned that he was trying to eliminate competition. The last straw was when he blatantly shot a bumbling private named Kane and tried to shove him overboard. This was deemed temporary madness, and so he was only ordered to pay damages, perform manual labor until the fleet came ashore, and visit a counselor. The counselor cleared him, and so when they did make landfall, he disappeared. What no one knew is that he'd planned to attack the Triple Threats & regain control of his territory. However, he found that the Purist Leader had beaten him to it. After a fight, which he quickly lost, he saw the potential, and immediately agreed to work his way up her organization. She eventually trusted him enough to teach him Chi-Blocking & make him a lieutenant. Later, he would be the first to test Aamon's projectile inventions.
Items: A wrist mounted crossbow that fires using explosive charges, a "gun" crossbow capable of shooting 6 arrows rapidly before needing to reload.
Other: Republic City needs to invest in some insane asylums.

Name: Kane
Age: 30
Appearance: A fairly nondescript man with a build slightly thicker than that of Senthose, he has brown hair that goes to his shoulders, & green eyes. Usually seen wearing his police uniform.
Occupation: Metalbending Cop, head of a secret infiltration
Bending: Kane always seemed to just barely scrape by, but in reality, he is a powerful earthbender who has hidden the true depth of his abilities for years. He can perform Metalbending, & various feats of Earthbending, including tunneling, seismic sense,[b] & [b]compression,. His Bending can overpower all but the strongest Earthbenders, & he has an as-yet poorly understood ability to nullify electricity.
Bio: The details of Kane's early life are unknown. For as long as anyone can remember, he grew up on the streets, until he was old enough to enter the United Forces. He managed to work his way up to the rank of colonel, but his incompetence saw him discharged at 25. After many applications, Chief Beifong finally decided to give him a chance in the force. At 28, he finally managed to pass the cut to become a Metalbending Officer. Kane was never assigned to any high-profile cases until the attempted assassination on Chief Beifong. What is little known is that he was working for "Lightning Bolt" Zolt at this time, & the "assassination attempts" were ordered by him in an attempt to get Beifong & Zolt both out of the way. With Saxeus's aid, he was able to call in many other corrupt police from Ba Sing Se, & now his group holds Republic City in an iron stranglehold.
Items: Kane & vehicles manned by his crew often have smuggled Purist Weapons. They've also been known to use concealed flamethrowers, to falsely pin crimes on Firebenders.
Other: Harbors a deep-seated hatred on anyone who looked down on him, as well as Senthose, for killing Saxeus.

Name: Kali
Age: 27
Appearance: A woman with somewhat hawklike features, but not unattractive, she keeps her brown hair in a ponytail, & has brown eyes. Wears an armored uniform with a golden flamberge badge identifying her as a Firebender.
Occupation: Corrupt Cop, assistant to Kane
Bending: A powerful Firebender, Kali knows essentially every technique to basic Firebending, & is also skilled at lightning generation & redirection. Her main talent is the use of special Kali sticks that trap her lightning, allowing her to swing them around while continuously charged with current that she can of course control.
Bio: Little is known about Kali, except that she was raised on the streets with Kane, & entered the United Forces with him. She was not discharged, but requested a job closer to home, & so was allowed to join the police force with recommendations from both her superiors & certain cops in the force, including Kane.
Items: Specially-constructed conductive Kali sticks
Other: She is one of the few who is on good terms with Helen Barbatos, though she doesn't have the same reputation for violence.
