Old Ones Return

"You what?" Gabumon was staring out the window and Ryder followed his gaze. He saw plenty of people walking around outside but no Digimon. Ryder remembered Gabumon talked about Wild Ones before and they often manifested in strange fog like this.

"A Wild One?" Gabumon shook his head and walked outside. Ryder followed and looked around. If it wasn't a Wild One, that'd mean it was a partner Digimon. But, that still didn't help. Nobody was walking around carrying a strange creature or walking side by side with a hidden one like he was.

"...I'm Euryale, and I believe you already know Koromon."

*Koromon narrows his eyes at Kylie & Lunamon.*

<Stop doing that.>

"Koromon, don't be rude."

<And scanning me isn't rude?>

"Why would it be?" Yu asks.

"They're coming."

*Renamon jumps up to a rooftop.*

"They're not going to start a fight, will they?"

"I don't know."

Kylie:<Oh, I'm sorry. I was just curious.>

*Kylie stops scanning Koromon, and looks kinda embarrassed*

<It's like staring & cyberstalking put together.>

*Euryale clamps down hard on Koromon's mouth. For his part, Koromon emits a few pained grunts.*

"I've been walking in & out of the fog all day, but I haven't seen or caught the signal of any wild Digimon. A lot of Tamer partners, but no Wild Ones."

Kylie:<Really? I'd say it could actually be fog, if all the electrical devices weren't acting up.>

*Lunamon glares at Koromon*

"I know what you mean. Its weeeeiiiiiird."

*Koromon glares right back. As they are being childish, the ground begins to rumble & shadows appear in the fog. Before their eyes, small bursts of electricity form out of the fog around them. They guide streams of 0s & 1s to a nearby point, which form into a charging [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], which is running away from them, towards downtown. A [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] jumps onto the bench nearby & swings its club at the back of Euryale's head.*

"They'll have to wait. There's a Wild One approaching. From the park."

*Renamon takes off, the others following behind.*

Kylie:<They're here!>

*Lunamon jumps at the Goblimon, stabbing at it with Lunar Claw*

"Alright about time! Go for it Lopmon."

Lopmon leaped from his perch on Yu and spun his ears, "Tiny Twister!" before releasing a spiral of wind from his rotating ears. A Mini-tornado aimed at Goblimon.

*The twin attacks send the Goblimon skidding across the ground. When it stands, most of its chest is exposed grid lines, & it can't move without swaying. As it drops its club, Koromon leaps out of Euryale's arms & becomes surrounded by an orange-red egg-shaped barrier made of parallel zig-zagging lines. A female voice announces "Digivolution" from Euryale's D-Power & the egg shatters in an explosion, revealing Agumon. As the shadows get closer, they turn out to be a large herd of charging [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].*

*At the park, Renamon opens up with a Diamond Storm on the Allomon, while Salamon circles around. Hitomo and Taiyo scan the Allomon.*

*Lunamon attacks the Goblimon again*

<Lunar Claw!>

Yu and Lopmon get on the looming threat of tapiermon. Lopmon launches a few Tiny Twisters their way.

*The Goblimon explodes, disintegrating into green bits of data. A few Tapirmon are blown aside, with their fellows piling up behind them. The majority of the swarm isn't stopped, & is now upon them. Euryale is forced to roll over one's back like she's a damn bull fighter. Agumon launches a trio of Pepper Breaths to make sure the rest go around her. Allomon sees a torrent of diamonds speeding towards it, but can't do much but try to guard its face with its claws. It skids to a halt & roars at Renamon, producing a stream of fire.*

*Lunamon turns around and heads to help the others by firing Tear Shot at the Tapirmon*

<Tear Shot!>

*Meanwhile, Kylie follows at a distance*

Renamon:<Taiyo, Hitomi, move!>

*The two run off and Renamon switches places with Allomon using Kohenkyo putting both Renamon and Salamon behind it. Salamon attacks with Puppy Howling and Renamon another Diamond Storm.*

"Time to cool these guys down Lopmon"

Lopmon sucks in a ton of air and then releases it, "Blazing Ice!" as large bullet like projectile of super cooled air aimed at the gathering of Tapirmon.

Yu backs up a few paces in the meantime to keep from getting overrun.

*Paralyzed & unable to defend itself, the diamonds put gashes in parts of the Allomon's body, exposing grid lines. The Tear Shot then knocks it over, but doesn't finish it off. It headbutts the ground, kicking up a large amount of obscuring debris. A few of the Tapirmon are frozen in place. Euryale kicks another one in the face as she stands up, smacking it into the bench & breaking off its horn. Her foot is then grabbed by a skeletal hand emerging from the ground, which soon happens to the others.

<What Digimon attack is this?!>

"It doesn't matter, just take to the air!"

*Euryale says this while drawing a card from her back pocket. She quickly swipes it through her D-Power before the hand holding it is grabbed by another zombie hand. Agumon sprouts angelic wings & takes flight just before he can be grabbed. As he goes, he sucks up the bits of green data, glowing slightly.*

"Finish it, Salamon."

Salamon:<Right.>

*Hitomi produces a card and runs it through her Digivice.*

"Salamon, Digi-Modify."

Salamon:<Cocytus Breath!>

*Salamon exhales a frozen blue beam at Allomon.*

*Kylie takes out a card, then scans it*

<Digi-Modify!>

*Lunamon gains Aero Wings, and joins Agumon in the sky, attacking any hands that come near Kylie*

<Aero Wing!>

Yu kicks his foot free and climbs up a park bench. Lopmon keeps himself aloft using his ears and fires off more Blazing ices at the remainder of the Tapirmon.

"Not cool!"

*As Aagumon flies over the Tapirmon, showing them with fireballs, some of the hands vanish.*

<Wait a second...the hands aren't real! They're the Tapirmons' Nightmare Syndrome attack! Just ignore them!>

"Yeah, that's really easier said than done."

*Euryale barely manages to force herself free as Allomon comes charging out of the area right next to where Salamon attacked & takes advantage of the surprise to headbutt Renamon, sending her flying. It then sprays flame at the closest living thing near her.*
