*Ven tries to laugh, but it really comes out as more of a "huhm."*

"I'll...be glad to offer some on-the-job training."

*Aroma is knocked right on the ground & immediately flushes scarlet. She slips trying to stand up. Thiera appears behind her & grabs her arm.*

T"Here, let me help you up."

*Aroma tries to say something, but just continues to look more mortified.*

Dalia passed by Taiyo, Aroma and Thiera and began heading for the library. Jin, on the other hand, went straight from class to the gymnasium.

Taiyo assists in helping Aroma up.

Taiyo: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Are you okay?"

In the library, Dalia sees Hitomi whom she may or may not recognize sitting in a chair in a corner of the library that judging by the relatively comfortable looking chairs and sofa is a designated reading and relaxing area. As usual, Hitomi is reading.

Mimiru is also in the gym, changed out and sitting on the bleachers waiting for the teacher to arrive. Other students arrive as well.

Azuma sits in a classroom staring out a window as students slowly trickle in. One being the male who bumped into Mimiru.

Azuma: I'm going to enjoy seeing what goes down after school.

George tosses a keyring with a Ford keychain on it to Ven.

George: "All right, take the truck. Ramirez and Sanders have the jeep and the van is still in the shop. You know how to drive standard, right?"

*Ven catches it on her right index finger.*

"Right. Thanks."

A"(I'm...I'm fine.)"

T"Hey, there's no need to be embarrassed. Are you a freshman or a sophomore?"

A"N-neither. I'm...a senior."

T"Wow, really? Did you skip a year?"

A"...No."

Dalia recognized Hitomi but disregarded her, having little familiarity with her. She took a seat nearby to Hitomi and extracted a book from her bag which she began to read.

Jin took a seat next to Mimiru, apparently not going to change from her regular clothes.

*Eve wanders into her next period, and puts her backpack on the ground by her chair. Then, she sits down and takes out anything she will need this period, and waits for it to start*

Taiyo: "You're not really helping."

Hitomi doesn't acknowledge Dalia and continues her reading. This will likely lead nowhere.

Mimiru takes no notice of Jin while more students enter followed by the teacher.

The truck is an old Chevy, that would be white if it were washed, but is presently brown. In the back are a couple kennels and some rope. The Manderlay Humane Society logo on the doors is barely readable under the dirt.

*With nothing better to do, Eve doodles on the edge of her notes*

"Alright, this is the city, so there aren't really a lot of animals to control. We might be called in for an escaped snake or something, but most of the time, we're gonna be catching dogs. Catching a dog is easy. Don't chase it, get it to chase you. Act like you want to play with it, approach it only with a leash, & keep that concealed. If the dog is hostile, that just makes our job easier, we tranquilize all hostile mammals, just in case of rabies. But don't do that on just any random animal, it'll get you shitcanned in record time. For an animal to qualify as hostile, it has to actually be attacking, without provocation. Got it?"

T"I'm sorry."

A"N-no, it's fine. I just--have to get to class."

T"Where are you going? Maybe we can walk there together."

A"...I, ah, have a cooking class."

Taiyo: "Um...me too."

William: "What would you do if I said I could talk to animals in much of the same way we're talking? That would make this job a lot easier, wouldn't it? Of course you're similar to an animal yourself. No offense intended."

*Eve stares out the window*

[That girl from earlier....she must play sports or something.....]

T"Now that you mention it, you two do look sort of familiar."

*Venezuela growls at him.*

"I'd tell you to prove it, or lay off of the weed."

Dalia read her book.

Jin sat smiling and crossed her legs.

Taiyo: "You two too."

By now the halls are empty sans them and the bell has rung.

Another student in the library logs on to a news site and does nothing about the volume allowing everyone to hear the reporter in the video.

News Anchor: "This is Reneé Rogers reporting for MAN and I'm reporting from Gordon Avenue East where police have been in an stand off for going on two hours after a raid on a suspected meth lab gone wrong. I'm also getting reports on a stand off on the north side of town where police officers are pinned down by members of the Tyranno Boys gang who are apparently using military grade firearms. We will have more on both of these as they develop."

The teacher, an average height female with long black hair tied in a ponytail in athletic gear approaches the class.

Teacher: "All right, five laps around the gym."

Both Azuma and Eve see a dirty white Chevy pull up across the street. Otherwise class is going on as usual.

William: "Let's use this assignment to do, shall we?"

Once the truck has stopped, William steps out and begins walking down a nearby alley.

*Venezuela stops the truck, takes the keys from the ignition, locks it, & follows.*

T"Well, we should probably start walking, then."

*Aroma looks to Thiera's arm on her own. Thiera lets go.*

T"Right. Sorry about that."

*Aroma looks away girlishly.*

A"It's...it's not a problem."

Dalia continued reading for around half a minute before standing up, putting her book back into her bag, and heading for the bathroom.

Jin leaped from her seat and quickly stretched before beginning her jog, which would easily put her at the head of the running group without her breaking a sweat.

*Eve glances briefly at the Chevy, then turns back to her work*

Taiyo follows the two wondering if she should say something or not. When they enter the classroom, the teacher, an older white haired woman glares at them from behind her gold rimmed glasses.

Teacher: "You're late."

There's not much to say about what goes on in a bathroom. Back at the library, Azuma's class piles in, everyone fanning out and splitting off into little groups.

The rest of the class begins running not making a big show of it.

William: "It's pretty close by."

"Whatever."

T"We're very sorry, Ma'am."

*Aroma is hiding behind Thiera & staring pointedly at the floor. Or Thiera's ass. Who knows.*

*Since it's pretty much just a quite work day, Eve walks up to the teacher*

<Excuse me, can I go return this book to the library? I'm finished with all my work.>

Dalia returned from the bathroom soon afterwards and took her seat again, continuing with her book.

Jin quickly finished her 5 laps and did some more stretching exercises.

Teacher: "Yes, yes, that's what they all say. Just take your seats."

Taiyo goes to her seat at the other end of the room.

Dalia finds Azuma had taken her seat while she had left and was presently flipping through a book.

The other students finish their laps, some sweating buckets and breathing heavily. The teacher tries to mask her displeasure at the sight, but covering her face with her hands just furthers it.

Teacher: "...Okay, today we're practicing long jump, so everyone head outside to the track."

After some moaning and griping, the class begins to leave through a set of doors usually ised in case of a fire.

William: "Well, we've gotten off on the wrong foot. Doesn't take an empatheic to tell that."

A medium sized black and grey dog crosses their path, sees them and begins backing away.

*Venezuela just wordlessly points to the dog.*

*Aroma & Thiera also go to their respective seats.*

Dalia looked down at Azuma for a moment before looking around for another seat.

Jin jogged out ahead of the others, still trying her hardest to control herself and stay at a reasonable speed.
