N"Great, just follow the road, & we shouldn't need any lights."

Eve:<Sounds like a plan.>

Eduj stared at him for a few more moments, "Get him some water and then lie him on his side somewhere. Watch him."

V"Just hit him upside the head & tell him to stop being such a wuss."

*And so they start walking down the road.*

T"How long is it until dawn?"

N"I don't know, I'm losing track of time, & that thing killed my phone."

Eduj glared at Vanessa, saying nothing. Stefan looked disturbed by the line of conversation.

*Eve shrugs*

<I wouldn't know. Hopefully we'll run into someone soon.>

*Tirea gets Stefan some water*

Gabe nodded, having made her way back over, "Yeah, it is the one with Leontes and Florizel. Not really one of his better known plays."

"Oh," Noct said, unfamiliar with it herself.

"Who is the one who needs a culture lesson now?" Gabe chided with a smile.

The duo return.

Azuma: "Well, it's not the breaker, so I reckon it's a problem with the generator."

Taiyo: "I haven't said anything that doesn't make you feel worse."

N"We're not going to run into anyone, we're in the middle of nowhere!"

*Something snags Eve's leg.*

Cameron:<I don't know, I was too busy trying to avoid getting murdered by a shadow monster to watch where they went.>

Since Eduj is not deaf, he was most certainly looking in the right direction. Stefan gratefully accepted the water.

"Well, have fun then," Gabe said with a smile.

"Yea," Noct added.

He's not actually looking in any direction as who'd want to look at these schlubs?

Azuma: "Anytime!"

Taiyo: "What have I said that hasn't made you feel worse?"

T"Something is moving up ahead. I think it's the Shadow Man."

N"You think everything is the Shadow Man. Look, if you stare at the darkness long enough, it seems to move."

T"But what if you're wrong?"

"If they are alive, they may have found a reason to keep going," Eduj said after a moment of consideration. "Perhaps besides being chased by the shadow creature, anyway."
Stefan continued drinking his water, still feeling ill and desperately hoping not to vomit again.

Azuma: "I'd say the odds of both are pretty even."

Why am I the one to usually converse with her? I don't like it.

A shocked expression appears on Taiyo's face, masked by the dark.

Taiyo: "Of course I trust you. I always trusted you. How can I forgive you? I had no reason to blame you for anything."

"What do you mean?" Noct asked, feeling more than a bit embarrassed at being called a shitty conversationalist.

*Eve stares into the darkness ahead*

"True," Eduj nodded, though the action could not be seen. "We also have fewer heads to keep track of."

*When he does so, lo & behold, the Shadow Man is standing in the middle of the road. As soon as the light is trained on him, he rapidly shifts to the side, becoming lost in the darkness once more.*

A"I don't know, just that I wanted to make conversation, but we keep ending up at these awkward pauses."
