The Zodiac Brave Story

Mortal takes a step over to the crystal, then uses Blind on Bremondt. Sab gets on the stairs, and uses Stop on the Mystic.

The battle is won:

Delita<Only one more stretch of wilderness until Lesalia.>

"And you are certain the Royal City is clear?"

Delita<It was cleaned weeks ago, and the Lionsguard notified of our approach. Any remaining ne'er-do-wells would be suicidal to attack Lady Ovelia.>

~Lionel~

*She picks up a shiny new ribbon & Masamune. Beowulf backs off, using Drain on the dragon. Bremondt turns & breathes lightning over Euryale, slaying her. As he sways this way & that, a dark cloud can be seen obscuring his gaze. The mystic edges along the back wall & casts Haste on it as her cohort crystallizes, before Sab finally manages to get close enough to Stop her.*

~Brigands' Den~

*Curaga blows over Safian, Namond, & the ghost mage, nearly full healing the pair of them, while killing the ghost. As she dies, she ponders why they don't seem to know how magic works. The thief attempts Steal Heart on Safian, but fails.*

*Safian begins charging Fire3, because that thief sucks. Cassandra continues on her way to the White mage, while Namond shoots the thief*

At seeing Euryale drop Mortal lets out a deafening roar, and used Holy Breath on Bremondt, "You are base, and low, Bremondt. Death is too good for you! You must know what it means to hurt! I am going to hurt you, Bremondt, and you will know regret!"

Sab begins to charge a graviga on the mystic.

Zac rubbed the back of his neck, "I'd just like to get this over with quickly. I don't like being in Lesalia."

Mimiru repeats the Chakra as Taiyo resumes dancing. Azuma repeats his previous action.

~Nelveska~

*The Construct in front of Azuma positions its arm over him & fires its fist out like a piston, essentially crushing him to death. The other fires at Mimiru again.*

<You were a dragon once. Multiply your hide a thousand fold. I can scarce feel anything in this form!>

*A Mystic is critically wounded by Graviga. She opts to cast Blind on Bremondt, removing his affliction. Bremondt, for his part, breathes ice over Mortal before trotting down towards the ninja's crystal.*

"Sure enough."

*A second group has assembled to stop them. This one consists of 3 monks, a Black Mage, & a Samurai. All male. They are at the bottom of the highlands, while Ovelia's group is at the top. Ovelia quickly begins casting Aegis on herself.*

~Brigands' Den~

*Instead of using Steal Heart again, the thief simply moves up to Safian & punches her in the gut.*

~2,1~

Mimiru teleports to Azuma's corpse and uses Revive.

Zac shoots a barrage at the Samurai.

Sab begins charging another on the mystic. Mortal grinds her teeth, "You know nothing of what it means to be a dragon. You're sick, and twisted. Your mind is corrupted. You were a weak man, and you only make a mockery of what I once was." Mortal uses Vengeance.

~Lionel~

<True...as a man, I was weak...and I am no mere dragon.>

*Bremondt gulps down the crystal. Grunting angrily, Beowulf heads to the balcony edge & uses Vengeance on him. The Mystic runs up & bear hugs Beowulf. Meanwhile, the other ninja yields a yellow crystal, & way off in the corner, the toad starts hopping towards the stairs.*

~Nelveska~

*The revive is successful, Azuma staggers to his feet, barely alive. The Constructs seem to be recovering from their attacks.*

~Grogh Heights~

*The barrage blows him back, but doesn't finish him off. He uses Kiyomori on his monk allies, who begin to move uphill. Once the Aegis is cast, Ovelia begins charging another. Delita makes his way down the stairs. The Black Mage had moved closer to get the effects of the Kiyomori, & used Hastega on pretty much everyone.*

Mimiru uses Chakra on herself and Azuma. Azuma attacks the Construct he was in front of with Rend Speed.

*Safian kicks him, while Namond shoots him again. Cassnadra conrtinues heading down the stairs, slashes as some as the other white mage is in reach*

Mortal nods, "True, you're a soon-to-be-dead one!" She then double slashed at him.

Sab drops the graviga on the mystic, and apparently Beowulf as well.

Zac, unsure of how much health the samurai has left, opts for another barrage, just to be on the safe side.

*One of the constructs moves to Azuma's side & punches at him.*

*The Thief kicks it again. There is a brief respite while all of the undead rejoin the ranks of the dead.*

*The Mystic dies & Beowulf is critically wounded. He lashes out with Vengeance against Bremondt, who trots his way towards Noctis & breathes a stream of lightning at her.*

~Grogh Heights~

*The Samurai collapses, dead, but one of the monks revives him at low health, & another moves up & uses Chakra. The 3rd just glares at them...& waits. An Aegis forms over Delita, & Ovelia begins charging another.*

Noct flies over to wherever that crystal is about to form.

Mortal chases Bremondt down, and double slashes him from behind. Sab begins charging a graviga on the toad.

Zac shoots the Monk that revived with a barrage, only now starting to realize this fight is going to suck with so many monks.

~Lionel~

*The crystal turns out to be Euryale, who gets up & heals them both. The toad hops past Bremondt as he's being mauled, frantically hunting for the exit. Bremondt turns & blasts ice at Mortal.*

~Grogh Heights~

*Delita strikes the monk who used Chakra & the Samurai with a Hallowed Bolt, killing the samurai & critically wounding the monk, who moves to the side to heal. The other monk uses revive, then he & his comrade continue on. Zac is Aegis'd. The Black Mage moves forward slightly, but so that he's still outside of everyone's reach.*

Sab does not allow the toad to get far before a graviga drops on it.

Mortal double slashes again, and Noct continues with her Forbidden Dance after giving Euryale a quick, "Thank you."

Zac shoots a barrage at his monk again.

~Lionel~

*Bremondt counters again, critically wounding Mortal & taking a double slash to the face. Euryale gets behind him & pummels him with repeating fists. Quite sick of this bullshit, Bremondt turns, plowing her over & running up the stairs towards the dead mystic. Beowulf gives him a wide berth, but uses another Vengeance on him.*

~Grogh Heights~

*Delita uses Hallowed Bolt to strike down the other monk, leaving just the wounded monk, the Black Mage, & the wounded Samurai left. The lattermost rushes Delita & slashes across his chest in a surprisingly powerful attack that leaves Delita critically wounded. Ovelia runs up to him & whispers into his ear, transferring some of her strength to him twofold. Lilith moves around them & cuts the throat of the samurai.*

*The three regroup below the manor. Namond casts Cure3 on everyone*

Safian:<Think they're gone for good?>

Namond:<Hopefully.>

Zac shoots the remaining, critically wounded monk.

Mortal chases Bremondt down again, and double slashes him from behind, "Don't you turn your back to me, coward!"

*Bremondt ignores her until he reaches the Mystic's body, which he stands in front of. Turning around, he breathes fire over Mortal.*

*The White Mage revives at half health.*

*He drops dead. The Black Mage stays back because he isn't stupid. Ovelia charges another Aegis.*

Mortal uses Vengeance. Not sure if that hits twice due to dual wield, but that'd be cool.

Noct flies over to where the Mystic's crystal is going to form.

Zac begins to move forward then unloads a barrage into the black mage.

*Safian begins charging Fire3 at the mage. Namond continues charges Cure3, while Cassandra charges forward, swinging her sword*

~Lionel Castle~

*Noctis is much farther away than Bremondt, but because of flight, she manages to get to it first. In a rage, he breathes lightning over Mortal, critically wounding her, then barrels off towards the staircase, ignoring an Aurablast & a Vengeance. Noctis obtains all Mystic spells, Haste, Hastega, Slow, Slowga, & Stop.*

*Hilariously, Cassandra kills the White Mage, only to be hit by a sudden burst of fire as the White Mage on top of the fort also revives, this time at full health.*

*The Black Mage begins charging a spell at Delita, then runs back.*

~2,1,1,1~

*Cassandra glares at Safian, then heads back up the stairs towards the white mage. Safian begins to charge Fire3 again*

Cassandra:<Hit me again........>

Zac continues chasing him down, shooting at him with a barrage.

Noct flies away, and continues dancing.

Mortal uses Vengeance again.
