*The Coeurl is dead, & the Cockatrice also suffers the effects. It leaps on Mimiru, screeching & attacking her again. The other one pecks at Azuma's neck, releasing a gray venom. He notes that a "rockifying" of his flesh is spreading down his arm before he loses consciousness, on account of the fact that he is now a statue.*

L"Well, we've caught up, at the very least."

E"Yeah. Sorry things are so crazy right now. Well, not right now, actually. Things have been pretty quiet, which is why we were able to come back here & think about parties & stuff."

L"Yes, I haven't heard any word of Seraph either. I suppose it's possible that he's simply died. He is ancient. But that is not likely of the others."

Taiyo: "I guess. It's just I feel a little guilty about how much everything was. It's hard to just accept it and be done."

Mimiru Pummels the Cockatrice still heading towards Azuma.

"I feel as if Senthose might be a very serious problem though," Mortal said.

"No one is arguing otherwise," Noct said, "Just saying that things are quiet at the moment."

"True enough I suppose."

E"If Senthose has what he wants, you'd think he'd just leave him alone. It's the other 2 I'm worried about. The man in the black cloak was extremely powerful and obviously has big plans. I don't know about the other one, but Ramiel said he was involved, and look what he did."

L"He was the one who bombed the capital? I'd heard about him in rumors. As for Seraph, he kills not for money, fame, power, or loyalty to a Duke, but simply because he can."

Azuma moves behind the Cockatrice and attacks.

*They are now in an amusing (I think) situation where the Cockatrice they're pursuing flies away from them, occasionally tossing a Feather Bomb back at Mimiru. Similarly, the other hangs just behind them, doing the same.*

Mimiru lines herself up with the Cockatrice they're pursuing and attacks with Shockwave.

Taiyo: "No, of course not. It's just after, we'll probably be leaving. And this outfit'll probably end up like my last one."

"So, Mortal, how do you like Lesalia?" Zac asked.

"Its good, I suppose," Mortal answered.

"So, you've been here for a few years now, is it, um--"

"I feel as if you're trying to dance around something," Mortal said.

"I'm not quite sure how to ask you about your life without seeming rude," Zac said, "'So, tell me about this whole dragon stuff', seems a bit forward."

E"Once again, I can attest personally to the fact that Bremondt has--had--the power to remove the boundary between dragons & humans."

L"...Did Bremondt change at all when he used it?"

E"You mean besides becoming a 2-ton reptilian carnivore whose exhalations were charged with elemental energy?"

L"Well, yes, I do mean less obvious changes."

*Mimiru successfully kills the Cockatrice. The Coeurl reverts to a crystal, which the other Cockatrice grabs before feather bombing Mimiru again.*

"It was an emotionally stressful fight, I don't remember if I noticed any subtle changes in personality," Mortal said.

Taiyo: "Right! So, um...how?"

The two go after that one, Mimiru attempting to stay lined up with it as much as she can, attacking with Shockwave when she is.

"I think what she is trying to ask is, uh, do you think that the same could be said of you?" Zac said, "Do you believe that your jump in personality was as small as you perceive Bremondt's?"

"I have a hard time remembering exactly what I was like as a Dragon," Mortal said, "I know my instincts have changed, nearly entirely, though... there are a few odd habits I keep." Mortal felt her face flush, feeling like they were judging her to be some crazy ass dragon, "I... I'm human now, and I don't think I'm too bad of one."
