Year Two

Azuma looks in Ven's direction, vaugely recognizing her, the dog continues doing its thing, now following a duck that tried to get away in the pond.

On the beach, Dalia found she was not alone. A skinny blond in blue cut off denim shorts and blue bikini top had the same idea of walking along the beach, although she opted for the shore.

*Eve mentally slaps herself and focuses on the lecture*

*Cameron starts making himself a snack*

*Ven sighs & begins cautiously approaching the dog.*

Dalia considered the girl briefly, and then continued to walk. She checked a couple of times to see if the blonde was still walking.

Jin took the pen off of her nose and looked at the clock expectantly.

Father Grimm put his bottle down and continued his gardening, humming softly to himself. He had only recently tried to learn how to garden well, but he was sure that any garden by God's house and cared for by a devout man of God would prosper.

The dog pays her no heed, swimming about in the water, pursuing the ducks that made their way to a small island. In the water comes a swan. Azuma sits on the shore of the stream.

Ruining all of my fun.

The girl is in fact still walking along the shore, paying no attention to Dalia, more content with just staring out into the distance or at her feet, lengthening her stride every now and again as if to avoid stepping on something.

[Oh, I so lose my focus at the end f the year. I'm tired of being overly stressed out.]

*Cameron sits at the kitchen table eating a sandwich*

*Realizing she's probably going to have to wade in after this asshole of a dog, Ven sees if she can determine how deep the water is.*

They stand in the oval office, one in a black suit facing out the window, tall, confident, a collosus compared to his VP in the grey suit, a folder in his hands.

???: "The files are all here for the Dreadnaught program, sir. All they need is your approval."

Philips: "Give it. When the Mutant crisis escalates I want it crushed."

???: "At once, Mr. President."

Before he can leave, Philips turns to a framed map of the United States.

Philips: "What is this, Novak?"

Novak: "A map of the United States?"

Philips: "No. This is my country."

The water is waist high at the most, but really gross. The dog swims towards a small island, the swan swimming up on shore, honking and spreading its wings, looking awfully intimidating to the dog who opts to swim away from that particular usland as swans are scary.

*Venezuela has no choice but to sigh & wade in after the fuck.*

Dalia walked for a little while longer, looking out for a cafe or anywhere that might be selling drinks.

Jin finally stood up, no longer able to sit down, and excused herself to go to the bathroom. Rather than actually go to the bathroom, she walked outside and cartwheeled before gracefully coming to lie on her back.

Father Grimm worked some more, but was rapidly running out of things to do. He had overestimated the time it would take him get the garden started.

*Eve starts to pack some of her things away, as she had basically up ended her backpack looking for her notebook*

*Cameron finishes his sandwich and heads up to his bedroom, and starts looking though his dresser*

[I'm sure I washed everything, so it has to be here....]

As she's in the water, the dog swims up beside her making its way past.

Azuma stifles a snicker.

I shouldn't laugh at this, but that dog is a crafty bugger.

Being the middle of the day, there's only cafes located away from the beach. The blond stopped walking along the shore some time ago and went for a swim.

At the school, the bell rings signalling the end of first period. In the hall, Taiyo litterally sniffs Mimiru out.

Taiyo: "Hi, Mimi!"

*Eve grabs her stuff and heads out, walking to her next period*

*Cameron starts Physics homework*

*Ven hooks the leash on the dog while it's swimming past.*

Dalia headed for the closest cafe which she could see, taking a last look back to see what the blonde was doing at the same time.

Jin lay where she was for a few more moments before rocking back, lifting her legs into the air and springing up onto her feet. She then took a quick walk back to class, picked up her stuff and moved onto the next class.

Father Grimm wrapped up his gardening activities and took his gloves and water inside. Inside, he put on his cassock before heading back out, having a good look at his garden and going on a walk to the park.

Scared, the dog yelps and begins thrashing around.

Mimiru: "Hi, Taiyo."

Certainly found me quickly enough.

Mimiru: "You have a free period, right?"

Taiyo: "Yep. Do you?"

Mimiru: "Yeah. Today at least."

The blond is swimming.

*Ven tries to calm the dog by stroking it behind the ears & making friendly dog noises below her breath.*

*After arriving at her next class, Eve sits down and takes out her notebooks*

*Cameron starts on French*

Dalia entered a cafe and ordered a cup of tea.

Jin moved onto her next class, mercifully being a practical physical education period. She wouldn't have to sit around, now.

Father Grimm walked on towards the park, thanking God for such fine weather.

This does not stop the dog from thrashing around, now trying to swim away.

Nothing good comimg from this, Azuma gets up and begins to leave.

Outside the school, the two set off for wherever, Mimiru carrying Taiyo piggyback.

Taiyo: "So where to?"

Mimiru: "Not many places to go and be back in time. There's that little diner or something next to the pet store a few blocks away."

Taiyo: "Sounds fun. Can we stop at the pet store too?"

Mimiru: "Why not?"

At the cafe a whole lot of nothing happens.

*Ven puts her other arm around the dog's midsection to give her more of a hold. She then pulls him in the direction away from the shore, expecting the dog to try to go in the opposite direction.*

*Eve starts taking notes on the day's lecture*

*Cameron struggles with memorizing French Words*

The dog continues thrashing, snapping at her. The swan honks.

Taiyo jumps off Mimiru's back and heads inside the pet store, Mimiru following. At the counter, Kari a stranger to Taiyo, but familiar enough with Mimiru is tending to some things.

Kari: "Hello."

Taiyo: "Hi."

Mimiru: "Hey, Kari."

The two head further into the store, Taiyo going straight for the display of the cats most of them kittens, running about. In kennels in the same room are rabbits.

Taiyo: "Aww, that one looks like Kitters when he was a kitten."

In the cafe, someone turns the volume on the tv up when the news comes on.

News Anchor: "Four presumed dead in a Mutant related crime including one Mutant Buster. The perpetrator known only as Alchemist turned the four into...tungsten before being apprehended."

*Ven positions herself so that the dog can't reach her with its teeth, & just continues to lead the dog to the shore without actually pulling that way.*

"Tch, this is why they need 'Mutant Busters'," Dalia said quietly to herself after sipping at her tea. "The bad apples."

Jin ran about at school, trying hard to hold back her true ability.

Father Grimm found the park and entered, passing Azuma on his way.
"You seem to be handling the heat well, my friend," He said in passing, nodding slightly.
