Old Ones Return (II)

*Kylie and Cameron enter, Kylie looking at Thiera for direction*

Kylie:<I think we're fine for now, thank you very much!>

*She smiles warmly*

Azuma: "Thank you."

The three step inside.

T"Well, we're just going to go back to my room. Talk to you later."

*Binah closes the door as Thiera shuffles them up a staircase & into a bedroom with pink carpet, curtains, & pillows, with white furniture, walls, & covers.*

T"As you can tell, we're actually going to have to pull them up."

*She closes her door, then heads over to open the window.*

Azuma: "Perhaps Renamon can throw the little ones up. That'd be pretty funny if Salamon wasn't so loud."

*Kylie and Cameron approach the window*

Cameron:<If yokomon digivolves, he can fly up.>

*It's at this point when DemiDevimon flies up, holding Koromon by the ears.*

*Biyomon flies up after with Lunamon*

Patamon flies up. Renamon jumps up, holding Salamon in one hand, the windowsil in the other and dumps her in where she somersaults in before Renamon climbs in.

Salamon: "...Thanks."

*Thiera shuts the door once everyone is inside. Euryale cradles Koromon in her arms so that DemiDevimon doesn't just drop her. The bat-thing then perches on Thiera's shoulder.*

T"So no one actually knows what's going on in the Digital World, huh?"

Koromon<It's been years since I was last there. And besides, I'd only been there for a short time after Digivolving past hatchling stage.>

*Kylie picks up Lunamon, while Biyomon goes to stand by Cameron*

Lunamon:<Nope, we're all in the dark here, other than what the wild digimon have told us.>

Hitomi holds Salamon while Renamon stands by Taiyo and Patamon perches on Azuma's head.

Patamon: "And that certainly isn't much."

*Euryale looks up & down from Azuma & Patamon. Thiera turns around, folding her arms.*

E"That seems like it would be very uncomfortable."

Azuma: "It is very uncomfortable."

Patamon: "Imagine if I had claws that I could dig in instead of relying on you to stay perfectly still."

Azuma lowers his head, so Patamon falls on into his open arms.

Azuma: "Shall we continue?"

Cameron;<What'd I miss anyway?>

Lunamon:<We fought some tamers, got forced to become unpaid Hypnos interns, that sort of thing.>

*Biyomon and Cameron juts kind of stare at her*

Kylie;<Oh, the digital world is also apparently under attack.>

E"I don't think we really understand it all ourselves. We know that Hypnos is cracking down on Tamers because so many of them are doing criminal...things. So they put us under surveillance."

Koromon<And then when this big fight got out of hand, & people started taking pictures of us, that Yamaki guy said that the only way we could go unpunished was to work for them. They have us getting coffee.>

Cameron:<Great, just great.>

Kylie:<Sorry.>

Biyomon:<It's alright, it's done. But seriously, coffee?>

Lunamon:<Yup, except for Azuma. He's actually getting paid.>

Azuma: "I take my coffee black with lots of sugar, by the way. Anywho, how'd you get on their bad side? Went picking fights in bad places?"

E"We were looking for Tamers to ask about the thing going on in the Digital World, & there was this delinquent-type girl, you might see her around. Anyway, she attacked us."

D<The way I remember it, Taiyo punched her in the nose.>

Taiyo: "I did not!"

Azuma: "So you got punched in the nose for sticking it in somebody's business."

Patamon: "That's a queer analogy."

Azuma: "Hush."

Taiyo: "Didn't that Angemon mention Hypnos when it attacked?"

Patamon: "Angemon attacked? Someone must have done something really bad to warrant that."

*Kylie shrugs, not having been there when it happened*

Cameron;<What does Hypnos say about attacks on the digital world?>

Lunamon:<It's impossible, or whatever.>

E"I think Angemon blamed humans as a whole and saw Hypnos as our 'base.'"

T"It does seem to fit the pattern. The problem is, if humans are attacking the Digital World, we don't know where they could possibly be coming from. It's not exactly easy to get to & from the Digital World."

Cameron:<Only Hypnos has that power.>

Lunamon:<They claim to have no idea what's going on.>

Azuma: "If it's viewing Hypnos as our base and they're presently the only people known to have some form of access to the Digital World, the signs certainly aren't pointing in their favor."

T"Hey now, that isn't fair. We've all been singled out by wild Digimon who assume guilt-by-association."

D<You're defending Hypnos?>

T"Well, they did give me my D-Power when they could have just sent you back."

D<I did absolutely nothing wrong at any point in my life. I am the picture of innocence & pure-heartedness.>

T"Your nose is growing."

Lunamon:<We've also been singled out by asshole tamers.>

Biyomon:<Since when?>

Lunamon:<A few days ago. Oh, by the way, Hypnos tapped all of our digivices.>

*Cameron looks shocked*
