*Cassandra shakes her head*

*Vanessa strays into a merchant sector, & spots a tent. When the vendor sees her coming & drawing her sword, he takes off in a random direction. Vanessa goes to hide inside of said tent.*

*Lilith also shakes her head.*

L"No. This is none of your business."

E"Wait, shouldn't we find out where Mortal went first?"

L"We could split up."

E"...Does that ever end well?"

*Aroma puts on the bracelets as she is reading. Then she crumples up the letter. But instead of throwing it away, she stores it in her robes.*

*Safian gets rather angry*

Zac shook his head, "Random chance is not a good enough excuse to take you along. You can be as upset as you want, but it is for your own good."

"No, it does not," Noct said in response to Euryale.

Mortal kicks out one of the legs on the tent, hoping to collapse it on top of Vanessa.

*It's much sturdier than that.*

*She turns to Euryale & Noctis.*

L"Listen, it's the best possible solution, & we are wasting time. Every minute we lose is a minute that someone could be going without medical attention. 'Divide & conquer,' as they say."

Safian:<So it's better to sit here in the dark and do nothing?>

*Safian sits on the floor and holds her head in her hands. Cassandra just kind of stands there, extremely embarrassed*

Mortal opts to use her sword then.

"I suppose so," Noct said, "Do we know where they were staying?"

"Yes, it is," Zac said, "And I would greatly appreciate it if you didn't pout in the main hall of my family estate. If you want to be helpful, alert the guards to what is going on."

*That's stupid. The tent explodes anyway. This would be more interesting if Mortal wasn't trying to knock over a tent for some reason. Instead, she's hurled to the ground by the shockwave & coughing up blood.*

*Euryale hears the explosion & starts running in that direction.*

E"MORTAL!"

*Safian nods and takes off with Cassandra to alert the guard*

Taiyo sits down on a bed.

Taiyo: "Does anyone want to check out the city?"

Azuma: "Not really. A little early for turning in, but I'd rather...I don't know what I want to do."

Mimiru: "Do you ever?"

Azuma: "Not recently."

"Bi... bitch-- ow..." Mortal writhes on the ground and coughs up more blood, ears ringing from the explosion. Due to that, she doesn't even hear Euryale call out to her.

Noct and Sab follow after Euryale. Noct takes to the sky and tries to look for any signs of her dragon lady.

*Lilith takes a step forward, but then shakes her head & turns to Zac.*

L"It's probably a good idea for someone to make certain that your parents are safe. I will go search for the others."

*Saying that, she heads for the hole that is now the front door.*

*There aren't many people on the streets, & no guards that anyone can see.*

*Noctis, considering that she's flying, spots Mortal lying on the ground next to the flaming, charred remains of what might have been a tent. She could also get to her first, if she chose to fly over the buildings.*

"Alright," Zac said, "Lilith, please be careful."

She instead says, "I can see her. She looks really hurt, follow me, I'll lead you to her." Noct then flies using the fastest path that is also easily followed on foot.

Mortal slips into unconsciousness, because explosions hurt, and blood loss makes you drowsy. She does have the decency to turn her head over so she doesn't drown in her own blood though.

*As a result, they all arrive by Mortal's side pretty much at the same time. Euryale kneels down, putting an arm under her elbows & back, & the other under her head. She then flexes her muscles, pumping healing chakra into her. Nearby, they can see a smashed bottle of perfume, & a ninja weapon sticking out of the wreckage of the tent.*

*Lilith leaves, like a boss.*

Noct lifts up the tent flap to see what was underneath.

Mortal opens her eyes and sees Euryale above her, and smiled, "Oh, hello Euryale. What are you doing here?"

Zac watches her go, because dat ass, then turns to his parents, "We should get you two to your room. I'll wait down here for the guards." And so they go off to do that.

*She sees broken barrels, gunpowder residue, lightly burning oil, & the charred remains of Vanessa's corpse. Well, she can see most of the remains, anyway. Euryale does not smile, & in fact looks increasingly worried.*

"I heard the explosion. Are you okay? What happened?!"

"V-vanessa," Mortal turned her head and coughed again, not wanting to do that in Euryale's face. Mortal looked back, "She, must have planned to take us both into oblivion, but I didn't enter after her. I think my brashness may have saved my life for once." Mortal giggled, then winced, "I'm tired."

Sab says a small prayer for Vanessa, and Noct just drops the flap. Noct looks back towards Euryale, "Well, we're not going to be getting another word out of Vanessa. I dare say her last were probably insults aimed at... probably everything."

*Euryale looks at the ruined tent.*

"I don't know about that...we should get Mortal back to the house, and continue healing her there."

*Euryale lifts Mortal, carrying her bridal style.*

Mortal would blush if she had blood to spare to her cheeks that she wasn't using to cough up, "I-- I'm sure I can walk."

*They continue on, as fast as they can run*

*They quite literally run into Siegfried, Aroma standing behind him.*

<Oi, what's got you in such a hurry?>

Safian:<Sorry! The Talea manor got attacked, and they sent us to find the city watch.>

Mortal nodded, and buried her head into Euryale's shoulder, "Okay."

Siegfried<Never mind that, we've gotta get there!>

*He takes off running.*

Aroma<...Why don't you just go to the municipal building & alert the head of the city guard directly?>

*Euryale has presumably taken Mortal into their room, laid her on their bed, & continued administering Chakras.*

Mortal gets enough energy to realize that she should be embarrassed by her appearance, "I need a rag to wipe away the blood..."
