The Arrival

"Creepy," Hector said, looking around the kitchen before heading back out. Eduj continued to wait by the door.

T"I don't know...I guess we could go looking for Roatha."

*They don't find anything else out of the ordinary. Thiera responds that she's sorry to hear that, & Roatha's gone missing, as well. Eduj hears some scuffling from outside.*

L"Alright. There anything else that I can do for you?"

*Aroma grabs her by the shoulders.*

A"No it's not. Come on, we need to get out of here, & figure out where to stay."

*So she pulls them into the elevator & hammers the door closed button. She looks into the dark hallway, unable to tell whether or not the Shadow is following, & wraps her arms around Sab, shivering.*

"No, no," Noct said, "I feel like I should be asking you that question. Thanks for keeping me informed, anyway."

Sab hugs Aroma, and begins crying into her shoulder, "I'm so scared."

<Do you have any idea what direction he was heading in?>

*Monu responds that he's sorry about that. The pair then head back to the other two*

Cameron:<Shall we call the police?>

*Monu nods, and Cameron does that*

Astarte continued to wait on the couch.

Eduj shut the door.

"Me too."

*The elevator dings, opening on the Shadow standing in the lobby. Aroma screams & automatically hits the button for Mortal's floor.*

<What's your emergency?>

T"Yeah, back to his dorm."

*Eve crosses her arms*

Cameron:{There's been some sort of attack at [Insert Tirea's address.] We found two people unconscious on the floor.}

Sab screamed too.

"Later," Noct hung, up and let out another long sigh. She walked over and sat back down, and chugged about half her drink.

"Sounds like trouble," Astarte leaned towards Noct. "What's wrong?"

Hector and Eduj stood by.

*The door closes. As Sabroma heads up, the elevator creaks & the lights flicker. It also slows to near stopping several times. Aroma is crying.*

"I-I love you, Sab. I just want you to know that."

R"Up a few floors."

<We'll send an ambulance & a squad car right away.>

Sab nods, and shakily gets out, "I love you too," between sobs.

"That was Lilith," Noct said, "The police say that we're making up stories when we said that we were attacked in the gym. They say we're probably trying to get back at an ex or something..."

{Alright, thank you.}

<So he must have been attacked between here and there...that's not all that far. Maybe someone saw something.>

"That's ridiculous," Astarte frowned deeply. "Why would they say that? How could they say it?"

*Against all odds, the elevator doors open, & there doesn't appear to be anything on the other side. Aroma doesn't let go of Sab, & just runs blindly for Noct's room. When she finds it, she starts hammering on the door with her fist. The lights in the hall start going out.*

T"No, if there was an incident, we'd have heard about it."

<Is there anything else you can tell us that might help?>

{Not really.}

*Eve shrugs*

<Then it got him quickly and quietly. If it did, that is.>

Sab starts banging too.

"I don't know," Noct said, "I'll see what the deal is tomorrow, but right now I'm too... I don't know, too everything. I just want to relax, and watch some girl fall in love with a river." She leans forward and grabs her drink.

Suddenly some fucking assholes start banging on her door, and the shock makes Noct spill her drink, "Son of a--" Absolutely livid Noct slams the drink down, and walks over to the door. She opens it quickly, "Who the hell--"

She is cut off when Sab pounds on her chest where the door used to be, then steamrolls passed her when the door opens, pulling Aroma along, "Noctis, thank god!"

Noct holds her beat up chest, a hint of blush on her face, "Wh- what the hell guys." She then noticed the crying eyes, and closes the door, "Jesus, what's going on, what's wrong?!"

Astarte had jumped to her feet as Noctis went to the door and was now trying to control her shaking hands.

A"It was a monster! A monster made of darkness! And it could teleport, &--this sounds really crazy, & I know this is what everyone says, but I'm not, & you have to believe me! Oh--can it hear us?! Quickly, shut the door so it can't--does it see...?"

T"Right...so should we go look for him?"

*Lilith finally emerges.*

L"Look for who?"

{No problem.}

*Eve looks at Lilith*

Sab tried to say the exact same thing, but winds up just breaking down and crying.

Noct had already closed the door, but goes over and locks it. Thinking that this was all nothing serious she let out a sigh, "Were you two watching scary movies again?"

Astarte lifted a hand to her forehead and took a deep breath, her other fist clenched. She looked around for windows and tried to decide what to do.

A"No! Please, you have to believe us! If--if something were to happen--"

*Fresh tears.*

A"I'd want someone to know. Oh God, I hope we didn't lead it right to you...."

*She sniffles, her nose starting to run.*

*Soon enough, the sirens from a police car & an ambulance can be heard approaching.*

T"Roatha's gone missing."

L"And you think something happened to him?"

Noct bends down, and pulls Aroma and Sab into a big group hug, "Hey, it's alright. You're safe now. There is no need to cry anymore, I'll keep you both safe."

Sab just kept crying, but couldn't help but take a little bit of comfort from the hug as she wrapped her arms around Aroma, and Noctis.

Noctis looked up for a second and noticed Astarte quietly freaking out, "What happened? You get startled too? Wait... weren't your friends complaining about a Shadow thingy before?"

"Um..." Astarte looked at Noctis, then to the door, listening out for anything coming closer. She looked back at Noctis. "Yes."
She looked from Sab to Aroma with a mounting feeling of guilt, as though she had lead the Shadow to them personally.

Eduj opened the door.

Taiyo: "Um...I uh..."

She puts her hands up in a fairly poor attempt at a boxing stance. He feet aren't centered nor are her hands up in front of her face. She swings a right making a barely audible thud against the bag.

Taiyo: "I'm not a fighter..."
