Episode Two: The Point of Absolute Zero

E"Yeah. Shit, who knew that evil monster blood would be so fabulous?"

*She looks down at the approaching Digimon.*

E"Good job, Growlmon. I saw it fall before it died, you taking out its legs must have helped a lot."

*After getting back to his feet, Guilmon rubs the back of his head, turning even redder.*

G<Thank you...but I'm Guilmon again....>

*After setting Renamon down, Sunflowmon regresses. Lalamon & Aroma hug.*

A"You were very brave."

L<Thank you. I just wanted to protect you.>

*Dorumon also regresses. Then Dorumon & Roatha stand back-to-back, looking at odd points on the horizon, & generally trying to act too cool for feelings.*

Taiyo looks at Renamon who's sporting some minor wounds from the fall.

Taiyo: "Are you all right?"

Renamon: "Yes."

Angemon lands, Salamon jumping out of his arms before her reverts to Patamon, both Digimon going to join there partners.

Azuma: "That was pretty awesome of you. Wasn't a flying horse though."

A figure approaches wearing a heavy parka, the hood pulled up, conceaking their face until they're directly in front of the group when they pull it down, showing themself to be a man in their early to mid thirties with some grey stubble on his face and long hair that suggests he should be older given the shade of grey it is.

???: "Hile, Chosen Children."

Azuma: "Poor choice of words, buddy."

*Euryale shakes free of Taiyo's hand, standing in front of her & putting up her dukes, widening her stance. Guilmon takes on a similar stance, swaying & making short, slow punching motions with his claws.*

E"What do you want, Nazi-boy?"

*Gargomon and Saberdramon also regress, Terriermon climbing up to Eve's shoulder*

Eve:<Excuse me, are you human?>

The man holds his hands up in a "Take it easy" stance.

???: "I am neither a human nor a Nazi. This is just the form I was given to make addressing you easier. There is a lot to be explained and this is not the place to do it, but for now allow me to introduce myself. I am Zarek."

Eve:<We are honored to meet you. May we journey to such a place?>

E"Hold it, Pal. Everything here has tried to kill us so far. I think I'm justified in saying that I don't quite trust you & your Not-Date-Rape-Shack."

*At that, Aroma clings tighter to Lalamon.*

Zarek: "Suit yourself. To the northwest at the base of Mt. Infinity is Toy Town. That is where we'll be going."

With that he opens up a portal and steps through it.

Azuma: "I bet it's nothing like the Island of Misfit Toys."

The two follow Zarek through the portal.

Eve:<Euryale, you're kind of being rude. This man has not done anything yet.>

*Eve heads though the portal. Kylie and Cameron follow after, Kylie being dragged by Lunamon*

R"Everything else has tried to kill us & we're just going to follow this guy into his glowing goatse of doom because no one wants to offend what might or might not be an axe murderer, except for Euryale, who's going to follow you out of a misguided sense of responsibility, & myself, who's going to follow because I fear social change."

*It presumably happens exactly the way he describes.*

Taiyo and Renamon follow the others through.

The portal closes up behind them and soon they're drifting through a void much like when they had first arrived in the Digital World.
