Old Ones Return (III)

*Cameron sits there, frozen, for a few seconds*

<Impossible...>

*A grin crosses his face as he leaps to his feet, showing Euryale that he has her partner*

Taiyo gets in on the group hug, probably making it a little weird.

Azuma: "Does this mean it worked?"

He turns to Hitomi who shrugs.

T"Euryale! You're alive!"

*She stands, while DemiDevimon falls from her shoulder in shock. Euryale pats her mother & Taiyo on the back. Mr. Rakshashi disengages from the group & rounds on the doctor, who jumps a little.*

Mr. Rakshashi<Explain this!>

Doctor<I'm afraid I can't, I have no medical explanation for what-->

Mr. Rakshashi<Well, clearly, someone made a VERY big mistake!>

E"Dad, quit being such a blowhard."

*Mr. Rakshashi reacts like he'd just gotten slapped, then starts laughing.*

Mr. Rakshashi<...It's good to have you back, Kiddo.>

Kurata<I concur, we were all very worried about you.>

E"I didn't know I went anywhere. What happened?"

Yamaki<More likely, the tests were altered after they were taken.>

*Yamaki has closed his lighter & is now squeezing it in his fist.*

E"No, but seriously, what happened?"

*Cameron offers Botamon to Euryale*

<You've been greatly missed.>

Taiyo keeps hugging Euryale, but doesn't want to answer.

Outside overlooking the hospital, Renamon's ears perk up.

She's...happy. Euryale must have pulled through somehow. Did MagnaAngemon's healing work?

T"We were told that you were dead. We tried to heal you, but it didn't work."

Yamaki<Of course it didn't. You can't fix what isn't broken.>

E"So someone claimed I was dead...in the hopes that my parents would pull the plug? I guess it's an efficient way to finish the job."

*She wrinkles her nose in disgust.*

Mr. Rakshashi<Someone tried to kill you?>

*He rounds on Yamaki, pointing. Yamaki looks at the floor.*

Mr. Rakshashi<YOU told us that there was a car accident! Explain what's REALLY going on, here!>

Yamaki<...I can't. I no longer have the authority too.>

Mr. Rakshashi<Well, you'd better bring me to someone who can!>

Azuma: "The hell happened that you're no longer head honcho?"

Taiyo: "There are others who want us dead?"

*Yokomon jumps onto the floor*

<They have a right to know. My name's Yokomon, nice to meet you!>

*He holds out one of his head things to Euryale's Father*

*Kurata adjusts his glasses.*

Kurata<At this time, Mr. Yamaki is still head of Hypnos. However, you are all directly under my employ, in a project that Mr. Yamaki does not have clearance for.>

*Mr. Rakshashi waves the air in front of him as he stares down at Yokomon. Mrs. Rakshashi just kind of stares at it.*

Mr. Rakshashi<I have back problems.>

Kurata<Well...you certainly seem to be taking this in stride.>

Mrs. Rakshashi<So...does that mean....>

*She looks to Botamon.*

E"Yeah, he's a Digimon. But he can't talk much, in that stage, he's like a baby, and he probably won't be able to Digivolve back to Rookie without healing up a bit."

Mr. Rakshashi<Huh. And here I thought all that Digimon crap was just toys from the anime you're honestly too old for. Does this mean-->

E"Yes & no. I was attacked by a human who took Digimon form. The Digital World is being invaded. We're going to save it."

Mr. Rakshashi<No you're not. It's too-->

E"Yes I am! Like it or not, Dad, I'm 18, & I've made the decision to join Hypnos."

Mr. Rakshashi<But the rest are-->

E"Were not involved in my mission. I sent them on another task. And for the record, I only let us get a taste of our enemy's power, so that everyone would know that we couldn't defeat them yet. We really do know what's at stake here, Dad."

Taiyo: "I wish there had been another way."

Azuma goes to staring at the floor.

Cameron:<Everyone who went on the mission was 18. Taiyo and my sister, who is also here in the hospital, went off when we attacked.>

Mr. Rakshashi<I'm still not quite sure I follow.>

T"Most likely, they have a covert agent at this hospital, who altered the tests. That way, she would be taken off of life support, & all suspicion would be cleared for them, by the Hypnos cover-up."

Mr. Rakshashi<That's sick! Who are you fighting?>

E"Mercenaries. Their ring leader goes by the name of Senthose. We don't know who hired them, but they've been systematically killing & enslaving Digimon to fight for them."

*Mrs. Rakshashi picks up Botamon.*

Mrs. Rakshashi<These adorable little things? Well, I guess they'd have to be pretty heartless if they'd hurt you.>

E"Heh. Trust me, Mom, they aren't all so cute & tiny. We've gotten some help, but some Digimon want to attack our world, believing we're all a threat. Let's just go home, I'll get you up to speed. But I want to go out with Taiyo after that."

Mrs. Rakshashi<Why don't you just invite her to dinner?>

E"Mom...Taiyo deserves some time alone with me just as much as you guys do. You can meet her some other time."

Taiyo: "It was nice meeting you both. Just wish it was under better circumstances."

*Yokomon digivolves to Biyomon*

<We're not all so nice. By the way, I'm Biyomon now.>

The Rakshashis<<It's quite alright. You seem like a very nice girl.>>

*Yamaki stands, turning towards the doctor.*

Yamaki<You'll be compensated for your silence, of course.>

Doctor<Yes, Sir!>

*She salutes. Meanwhile, Euryale puts a hand on the back of Taiyo's head & pushes forward, pursing her own lips. But she shakes her head.*

E"No, you're right, better circumstances...."

*She hugs Taiyo instead, holding her tight.*

E"I'll see you soon, I promise."

Taiyo hugs Euryale back.

Taiyo: "I love you, Euryale."

*Biyomon claps his hands*

<We'll all be back together soon!>

*2-3 hours later, Euryale knocks on Taiyo's door. Unlike last time, now she's wearing a black strapless dress that goes down just above her knees, & matching slippers, & has applied a coat of lipstick & gloss. She has replaced Koromon with an actual purse.*

Taiyo answers wearing a two piece gown, the skirt going past her feet while the top resembles a combination tank top-bustier. This is probably the first time she's ever worn a top that didn't expose her whole stomach, only exposing her navel.

For make up she has a thin layer of eye liner and sparkly lip gloss.

Taiyo: "You look beautiful."

Renamon passes, her precense having become more accepted in the household. She approaches Euryale and throws her arms around her.

Renamon: "Thank you."

*Cameron sits in the park, reading a book. Yokomon is asleep beside him*

"Thanks! You look amazing."

*And then Renamon damn near knocks her over, so she pats her on the back.*

"Uh...wow, I'm glad you feel so...comfortable with me...thanks for what?"

*Thiera walks by, staring at the ground. Wizardmon is following her.*

Renamon releases Euryale, embarrassed by her outburst.

Renamon: "For coming back."

Taiyo: "Aww, Renamon has a soft spot for Euryale."

Renamon blushes furiously.

The two sit in some cafe.

Hitomi: "It's nice that you've cheered up since the last couple of days."

Azuma: "Thanks. Although I'm feeling pretty uneasy given the whole reveal about what had happened."

Hitomi shakes her head.

Hitomi: "Let us enjoy this evening."

*Cameron up stands and puts his book away*

<Thiera! Hey!>

*Thiera & Wizardmon look over.*

"Oh, hello. I thought I might find someone here."

*She raises her hand to point in Renamon's general direction.*

"How are you blushing, you're covered in...never mind."

*She holds out her palm & shakes her head.*

"I'm glad you like me. I just want the 4 of us to get along. And you know how much I like to hug. Seriously, it really means a lot."

*Yokomon wakes up and follows Cameron over*

Cameron:<So did I, actually. What are you two doing here?>
