Episode Three: Beneath the Deep

*Saberdramon picks up a few and flies them over to the group*

<We can eat these.>

*Lunamon waves at the crabmon then keeps looking*

Eve:<We should.>

There is seaweed a plenty. A Swimmon looks at her and swims off afraid of the monster tromping around its turf.

Taiyo rubs Euryale's leg as Lunamon gets swept up in the tide.

Azuma: "That thing is huge. Like could crush a small animal if you dropped it on one."

Cameron:<Yeah. We'll have plenty to eat tonight.>

*Kylie takes off her shoes and socks then runs after Lunamon, who tries to head back to the shore*

E"Aww, that feels nice...meat would still be nice."

R"Yeah, but I don't think it's such a hot idea to fish if we don't have to."

*Meanwhile, Aroma searches for something with which to gather up the seaweed.*

Lunamon has a lobster hanging from her ear. It hurts a lot.

There are some shells along the shore. Mostly small and medium sized ones and a fairly large pink oyster.

Taiyo: "Your leg's getting better?"

Taiyo sits between Euryale's legs and rubs them both. She implied it's to help her legs get better, but she may have other motives.

*Euryale is too busy leaning back with her eyes closed to really notice.*

E"Yeah...."

L<Don't worry about it, Aroma!>

*Lalamon Digivolves & fishes seaweed out with her tail.*

R"Huh. Did anyone else think that she was going to start firing rays of sunshine into the water?"

L<Sunshine Beams!>

*Roatha ducks.*

E"Whatever."

*Lunamon pulls the lobster off and runs back, waving*

<Look what I got!>

Kylie:<Lunamon?>

<What?>

*Eve goes to collect oysters*

There is only one oyster. That turns out to be a Syakomon which opens up and spits water at her.

Taiyo up and curls up beside Euryale.

Azuma: "Never get tired of that. Except that I do."

He looks up towards the flickering ocean then towards Hitomi.

Azuma: "You hear that?"

She nods.

Hitomi: "Something's calling."

SkullGreymon disintegrates into raw data which BlackWarGreymon absorbs. A sudden jolt runs through its body and it places a claw above its necklace and the crack in its armor.

The room begins spinning as it staggers towards down the hall, following the sound of music.

Not here. This will not be my grave. Not until I reunite with Carly.

*Eve walks back to the others, more than a little annoyed*

Cameron:<Should we move away from the beach?>

*Euryale withdraws her folded up blanket. Placing it underneath her head, she lays down. Sunflowmon is still gathering seaweed. Aroma licks her lips.*

R"I don't know, maybe if you SUNSHINE BEAM the water, you'll kill some fish."

Azuma: "And go back to the creepy forest? Tough choice. And how does that even work? Concentrated sunlight from a giant flowers face."

As Eve or whoever is presumably still holding the Syakomon, it speaks.

Syakomon: "You'll need more than a giant flower and a fox if you're here to beat the Ocean Devil."

Outside the ballroom, BlackWarGreymon sees a horned and winged figure in an elaborate red cloak, halting in its tracks.

BlackWarGreymon: "No...you're behind the gate. We put you there."

The figure lunges forward, its hood coming down to show the monster underneath which plunges a clawed hand into its chest.

BlackWarGreymon roars in pain before the illusion is gone. It barges through the ballroom doors, staggering.

Myotismon: "Enjoy my pet? My greatest accomplishment next to destroying you."

Myotismon dodges BlackWarGreymon's intial charge, its moves sluggish.

Myotismon: "It truly is magnificent. I knew there would come a day when some assassin would come for me. I turned my pet into my greatest weapon against it. A virus courses through you since you undoubtedly absorbed its data. Even in death, I will triumph."

*Aroma looks up at Sunflowmon.*

A"I'd always assumed that it was the power of love."

*Roatha points at Taiyurle.*

R"No, that's Taiyo's fruity tattoo. And anyway, we have Euryale. I'm pretty sure she'll rip its head off if it so much as looks at her funny."

*Eve looks down*

<Oh, sorry...>

*She heads back to place the Syakomon back where it was before*

Taiyo sits up a little.

Taiyo: "I think it's cute."

Syakomon scoffs at Roatha's words before being cruely dumped into the cold and unforgiving ocean.

*Eve runs back*

Kylie:<Your mark's nice Taiyo.>

R"Sorry, I just think that the notion that being marked against our will with goody little symbols is somehow going to save the world is pretty damn retarded."

E"And I'd like to see how that Digimon you were talking to fares against me."

Syakomon was dropped in the ocean haphazardly, probably on a rock, so it will never answer.

Taiyo: "At least I'm not the only one who likes it."

She rolls over, facing Euryale.

Taiyo: "Do you want to go for a walk along the beach?"

E"Right now, I really want to eat something."

*She sits up.*

E"Though I guess I should be helping to gather my own food, shouldn't I? Sorry about that."

Cameron:<How about some fresh coconut meat?>

Taiyo sits up as well.

Taiyo: "That's probably a good idea. Maybe later."

Azuma: "Could try..."

Azuma sees himself and Hitomi no longer on the beach with the others, but rather in a forest. Unlike Misty Trees which had living plant life, none of the trees in this forest display much in the way of life. Most either being dead or pretty close. They hear movement in the surrounding bushes.

On the beach, the others may notice the two have vanished.

E"Coconuts don't have--where did those 2 go?"

R"This is so contrived."

*Dorugamon & Sunflowmon fly up to take a look around.*

Cameron:<That's what it's called...>

*He looks around*

Eve:<Excellent.>

*Saberdramon takes to the air, circling*

When looking in the direction they came from, they see the Misty Trees with Toy Town just beyond it. Also a plume of smoke from around the base of Mt. Infinity.

Along the beach, they see another beach across the ocean in the direction of the palm tree while the other side is just straight ocean.

And across the ocean from their current position they see the Continent of Server.

Taiyo looks to Renamon.

Renamon: "I don't sense them anywhere. Of course my bond with them is nonexistant."

Taiyo: "Oh...Maybe it has something to do with their weird dreams or whatever was watching them in the phonebooth."

Patamon: "Is this what you've been dreaming about?"

Azuma: "No. There's no ocean here. Or at least it's not nearby, but this is likely somewhere in that region."

Patamon: "Are we dreaming? I don't think I fell asleep."

Azuma: "This is no dre--Quiet."

From the bushes emerges creatures whose only visible feature in the darkness is their bright yellow eyes. No one's D-Terminal vibrates, so they couldn't be Digimon. While being mostly invisible, Azuma recognized them as the creatures from his dream the night before.

Salamon's Holy Ring flashes and she growls at the creatures as they whisper in their alien tounge, making no move to approach them.

More movement comes from the bushes.

BlackWarGreymon lies on the floor of the battleworn ballroom, Myotismon's data floating freely and drifting away. It was a battle that it had to strain itself to win.

Sitting up it saw a young girl of about fifteen at the entrance of the ballroom. She stood about five and half feet with messy short brown hair, a partially white tank top covered in multiple stains and smears, dirty jeans, and scuffed sneakers.

Around her neck is a necklace, BlackWarGreymon wears which she takes off, her eyes tearing up.

Girl: "It's okay, Agumon. The barrier might keep up apart, but we'll always be friends. Nothing can take that away from us."

She looks at the Tag and cracked Crest in her hand and moves as if she's putting it on someone.

Girl: "Zarek said it doesn't work anymore, but I want you to have it, so you'll never forget our adventures and the good we did for our worlds."

BlackWarGreymon shakes its head, the hallucination disappearing. It looks at the Crest and Tag.

BlackWarGreymon: "Never forget...I was a hero. We all were."

Eve:<I'm sure it does. It has something to do with the crests of Hope and Light.>

*Dorugamon & Sunflowmon swoop down & report what they saw.*

R"So, what do we do? Where do we go?"
