Episode Three: Beneath the Deep

Taiyo: "It shouldn't be an issue."

Taiyo roots around in her backpack and lays her blanket down then flops down on it.

Azuma: "Might be a good idea to stick to being in groups if we're going to wander about."

R"Okay?"

*Euryale also lays down.*

*Eve crosses her arms*

<Yeah?>

Taiyo scooches closer to Euryale, patting a spot beside her fir Aroma to sit down.

Azuma: "That's it. Safety in numbers and all."

A"Thank you."

*And so Aroma does, indeed, sit down. Euryale takes Taiyo's other hand.*

R"Okay?"

*Eve sits down in the sand, looking slightly annoyed*

Taiyo gives Euryale's hand a squeeze.

Taiyo: "This is sooo much better than the last beach."

Azuma: "Renamon was also telling stories from her childhood."

Renamon: "I did no such thing."

R"I wanna hear one."

D<Me too!>

E"Agreed."

*Lalamon is building a sand castle nearby. Guilmon is presumably off running around in the sand somewhere.*

Eve:<Might as well, seeing as we have nothing better to do.>

Taiyo kicks off her flip flops and wiggles her toes.

Taiyo: "No cold feet, no cold legs, cold belly, anything. Although cold feet wasn't a problem with those socks."

Azuma: "It was a tale of knights, courage, and valor."

Renamon's ears twitch, a little annoyed, but she sits by the dead fire.

Renamon: "I stated I had heard stories of knights. If you insist, I could recall a tale of Magnamon."

Azuma flips open his D-Terminal, looking at Magnamon's entry.

Renamon: "The Magna of Miracles was unique among the Royal Knights. Not only was it the youngest, but it was the only non-Mega level Digimon in the order being Armor-level, possibly the first of its kind. As the youngest and only non-Mega, it constantly felt the need to prove itself amongst the rest of the Order.

Its body was made of Gold Chrome Digizoid, giving it a near unparralled defense even among the senior members of the Order. Duftmon, the Orders stratagist had constantly reminded Magnamon that the best offense is a good defense, but Magnamon did not see it that way. It desired strength to rival Examon or even Alphamon.

Magnamon got what it thought to be its chance to prove its strength among the other members of the Order when Boltmon rampaged through Toy Town.

Despite Magnamon's defense, Boltmon's strength was superior, the cyborg refusing to tire even after the sun had set over the town.

Sensing their comrade was in trouble, Duftmon went to Magnamon's aid, the Knight's armor being the only thing keeping it alive in spite of the countless attacks delivered by Boltmon.

Magnamon had originally refused Duftmon's help still wishing to prove its own strength in solo combat. Magnamon had forgotten what the Order was founded on. Courage and Friendship. Magnamon's show of courage was reckless endangering itself and others, it had displayed wrath rather than courage. Despite their many differences, the members of the Order had been friends as well as comrades. Magnamon disregarded the others out of envy of their strength.

During its intervention, Duftmon had been injured in battle. It was then Magnamon had realized it had forgotten the teachings of the Order. Exhausted and injured, the two Knights had managed to defeat Boltmon, but at a great price. Duftmon had fallen in battle. Its death would be the first of many throughout the Order until it eventually dissolved."

R"...I didn't know what half of those names even meant."

D<And it was really depressing.>

R"Is it strange that kind of makes me want to know more?"

E"Yeah, those were great, thanks."

A"It wasn't--thank you--I mean--you're welcome."

Lunamon:<I liked it.>

*Kylie nods in agreement*

Taiyo: "It's pretty amazing you--"

Taiyo suddenly looks very depressed. She gives her head a shake.

Taiyo: "It's pretty amazing you got both pairs made in such short time. I'd be lucky to get one pair done in two days."

Azuma looks up from his D-Terminal, the entry he was looking at being Examon's.

Azuma: "Sorry. It was pretty insensitive to go on like they'd been great cheerful tales."

Renamon: "They may have had moments of happiness, but their final days were full of heartache and despair."

Azuma: "I can imagine so. Were all heroes of the Digital World like that?"

Renamon: "I don't know."

A"Don't feel bad, it just takes a lot of practice. Most people can't sew at all."

E"I know I can't."

R"What happened to them? They just suddenly become dicks, & tear each other apart from within?"

Terriermon:<I don't know what happened to them...it was before...my time.>

*Terriermon stares off into the distance*

Taiyo: "It's not too hard. Well some things aren't."

Renamon: "I do not know. The stories I heard were told to us in the Village due to each story having a lesson to them. If the Mega-level you had encountered was a member of the Order, it might tell you why the Order dissolved."

Biyomon: "My brother...my sister...They're both gone."

It crashes into a long hanging branch and falls to the ground, the Kyukimon stands over it, blade raised.

Biyomon turns to the beast, exhaling a stream of fire which glances off the beasts hide. The Kyukimon begins to dissolve as its top half strikes the ground, Leomon standing behind it, sword drawn.

Biyomon: "Leomon...That monster k...killed my brother and sister. I...I want them to pay. I want Ornismon to d-"

Leomon: "No! You mustn't let your mind be clouded by thoughts of vengence. Puppetmon and its minions will be brought to justice, but anger is not it will be administered."

Biyomon: "But..."

Leomon: "I will return you to your home, but you must abandon your desire for revenge. You will only end up harming yourself and those you hold dear."

A"Hm? What do you mean?"

R"Too bad I didn't put a tracer on him."

Eve:<Oh well.>

Taiyo: "Some things are easier to make than others. I made a pretty cute shirt in no time. Although I kind of got the measurements wrong, so it's a little short."

Azuma: "Do you think there will be stories of our adventures?"

Cameron:<Probably if we beat Millenniummon.>

E"Somehow, I don't feel like that's a problem for you."

R"I hope not. First of all, we probably won't be consulted, second of all, I don't want every second of our Behind the Music style implosion documented."

Taiyo: "You think so?"

Azuma: "I doubt they'd tell of our sitting around and shooting the breeze. Also you think any other hero in this world or ours was consulted?"

Lunamon:<Maybe..maybe there'll be myths told about us! Like Greek heroes.>

Cameron:<Did you read any of the actual myths? The non kiddy ones?>

<No, why?>

E"Well, you seem to like short tops."

*Roatha turns to Azuma.*

R"Alexander the Great, Mother Theresa, Gandhi."

*He turns to Lunamon.*

R"Incest, suicide, pedophelia, familicide, condemned to Hell."

Taiyo: "Yeah, but there is too short."

Azuma: "Three. Out of how many? What heroes has this world had?"

Renamon: "The Royal Knights, the Warrior Ten, the Celestials, and the Olympians. There are certainly others, but they are the groups I can name."
