Hideki: "First non-hostile in awhile."

Strikedramon seems disappointed in Leomon's status as a non-hostile.

It would not have been in my favor, but Leomon would serve as a worthy opponent.

*Lyra looks to Hideki*

Lyra:<Mine just appeared out of nowhere.>

*Leomon looks at Hideki & Monodramon like they might as well be shit.*

<You shouldn't be so quick to fight, especially with dangerous opponents.>

*Then he turns to Lyra.*

<It must have been the Digi-Gnomes. But I wonder why they came to you.>

T"And then maybe they wouldn't be able to Digivolve, either!"

<Doubt it. The Digimon are inside of them.>

Hideki and Strikedramon look at the shitty telepath like it's a shitty telepath.

Hideki: "Because those other people you mentioned are missing?"

OOC: He can tell from the context what they're thinking--their disappointed expressions, coupled with the phrase "non hostile."

*Leomon folds his arms.*

<The DigiGnomes may have marked you worthy, but I'm not so sure. I'll be returning to the Digital World now. If you can discover some of who the enemy is on your own, then I will consider working with you.>

*He turns, clawing open a portal that starts spewing fog.*

T"But they won't be able to call for reinforcements, including the other BioHybrids. At least, I don't think that they will."

E"I don't think that the troops & weapons are going to be too much of a problem. Unless Kurata gets a lot more money, they must be running out. It's the converted Digimon I'm worried about."

E"I might be up for it, if we had any way to keep Kurata from de-digivolving them. Even if we still had the Red Card, we only know how to use it on our own partners."

And so Hideki is heading somewhere, looking out for Hypnos vans and periodically checking his D-Power.

*The next day, most of the group is outside of the city. A speaker has been set up, the sound system extending into the abandoned base, where Thiera is.*

E"Yeah. You going to tell us what this is all about?"

{...You're supposed to say, "Ov--"}

E"Just tell us what's going on!"

{Okay, okay! Andromon managed to recreate the Yuggoth program. If we open a portal at close to the same time, we should be able to pass through. We'll arrive in the chasm beneath the Sovereign's domain. But that's where the D-Reaper originally came from, so there may still be some remnants there.}

E"Hasn't Kurata conquered that region? Won't he try to stop them?"

{Yes, so we should probably hurry.}

*MetalGreymon fires his Giga Blaster into the sky. The explosion quite literally rips a massive white void in the sky. Euryale hugs the other guy, who just stands there awkwardly.*

E"I guess this is goodbye. Thank you for all of your help."

*In a flash, Wizardmon teleports herself & Thiera to the group.*

*Hideki & Lyra meet in a dark, foggy alley. Before they know it, an Arbormon, an Aurumon, & a Bakemon materialize around them.*

Cameron:<We wouldn't have done this without you.>

*Kotemon digivolves to Gladimon and slashes at Aurumon*

Monodramon Digivolves to Strikedramon and takes to attacking Arbomon.

*Arbormon fires a seedlike bomb from its mouth, while Bakemon blindsides Gladimon with a blast of dark energy. Arurumon attempts to fly over them, making its way towards the Tamers.*

*He puts his hands on his hips. Euryale then stoops down to hug his Agumon, who eagerly accepts. After she disengages from him, Euryale takes Taiyo's hand.*

E"I'm sorry we can't do more."

<Yeah, me too.>

A2<But the portal will only stay open for a couple minutes.>

Patamon and Salamon Digivolve, the latter going to Ultimate and carry their partners up while Taiyo makes like Red Bull and gives Renamon wings.

Strikedramon's body heats up while it plows through the attack and punches Arbormon in the face.

Hideki swipes the Darkness Wave card, Strikedramon turning and firing at Aurumon.

*Gladimon attempts to stab Bakemon with his swords*

*Biyomon digivolves, then Saberdramon flies after Angewomon, carrying Cameron*

*The point-blank explosion knocks Strikedramon off-balance, & Arbormon roundhouse kicks him in the stomach. Aurumon, not being the biggest or toughest Champion Digimon, pretty much evaporates on the spot. Bakemon absorbs the data to heal itself, while the darkness lingering on Gladimon puts a few cracks in its armor.*

*They emerge from the portal to find themselves in the bottom of a chasm. Looking up, they can see the blue walls of the canyon stretching above them for several stories. There are few footings, but some of the ledges nearby, long broken away from the main canyon, are floating. From the light of the portal, they can see that the rock pulses in some places, blue binary scrolling across it.*

T"It feels strange down here."

E"What was your first clue? Was it the floating rocks?"

T"It's not that. The atmosphere seems...charged, somehow. It's hot, & tingly. It makes me feel light headed."

E"Well, forget the weather. Something's happening above."

*She points to an explosion over the cavern. They hear the faint boom echoing down the walls as the Portal closes, leaving them in pitch darkness, save for the visible sliver of the canyon above. They are not alone, however, as a viscous, red fluid begins bubbling out of the rocks all around them.*

*Lyra slashes Goliath, and the giant Gladimon tries to shake the darkness off before slashes at Bakemon*
