Monodramon rolls out of the way, recovers and Darkness Wave.

*Euryale rolls her eyes at Azuma.*

E"Yes, we'll tell them to believe in themselves & always eat their vegetables, I'm sure that'll be just what they need."

T"We probably can send a few cards through. After that, we just have to hope that they get where they're needed in time."

*Kotemon doesn't really have anywhere to go, so it winds up in a sticky net with its ass kicked, but its struggles keep it from being completely tied up. Leomon uses Fist of the Beast King to blow away a Terrier Tornado, only to get struck by a wave of focused sound & knocked on his ass. The Falcomon image then splits into multiple images.*

*Meramon keeps its flames focused so that the Darkness Wave still can't reach it.*

Azuma: "Or tell them what's going on, but that works too."

Hideki reactivates the Knight's Device and Monodramon rushes Meramon with it.

Lyra:<Don't bother with the shadows!>

*Kotemon tries to free himself from the net*

Cameron:<We need to tell them not to trust Kurata.>

*Now it's Thiera's turn to roll her eyes.*

T"How about we just focus on the fight going on right now?"

*PhantomArmadillomon rolls over Kotemon & phantomFalcomon attacks with a blade of wind. Leomon rolls to avoid Ballistamon's battering ram, which breaks a new pothole in the road.*

Leomon<Why do you attack?>

Sepikmon<You've seen the state that the Digital World is in. It's kill or be killed. Soon we'll be powerful enough to Digivolve!>

*He throws his boomerang at Leomon, which Terriermon encases in another tornado.*

*The lance dissolves from Meramon's hand & reforms in Monodramon's. Meramon knocks him back with another 2-handed blast of heat, at which point he goes flying & slams breaks the window of another house. He winds up in a living room decorated in a modern aesthetic, his image shimmering & data pouring out of him.*

Cameron:<I only have third cards, but I'll send them what I can.>

*Lyra slashes Goliath, and then Kotemon dives out of the way of the wind. Then he tries to smash Wormmon with the giant hammer*

Taiyo looks at the mad stack she has.

Taiyo: "I could help out."

Monodramon climbs out the window to return to the unwinnable battle.

Hideki throws a rock at Meramon, D-Power in his other hand.

E"We need them too. So if we're going to share, I think we should start out with something that we know we can afford to lose."

*She pulls out her Digivolution card.*

T"What about the Blue Card?"

E"I don't have it. I guess it only appears in OUR Digital World."

T"Alright."

*Thiera takes the Digivolution card.*

T"Anyone else?"

*Meramon catches the rock, turning it into a flaming chunk of partial-magma, & hurls it back at him.*

*Wormmon lays there, twitching. The enlarged Kotemon is then attacked with throwing stars, a rushing Armadillomon, a sound blast from Ballistamon, a Bunny Blast, & a Boom Bubble. Leomon can't help because he's gotten his ass laid out again, this time with a small gash exposing gridwire. Sepikmon catches its boomerang & throws it at him again.*

Azuma forgos his Training Grips card while Taiyo forgos her Digivolution card.

Hideki dives behind the nearest form of cover. While Meramon is distracted, Monodramon attacks it with Darkness Wave.

<I don't have any digivolution cards, but I could give them my power plug in.>

*Kotemon swings his hammer, trying to deflect as many attacks as possible*

*I'm going to assume that they give their cards to Thiera, who puts them into some slot in the computer.*

T"Hey, they've already defeated one."

E"Well, good. Now we should probably turn our attention back to how to get back."

T"Right. I'll try to connect to Mr. Yamaki. He may have been fired, but he still knows better than anyone but Kurata about things moving between universes."

*At this point, a beam of white streaks across the sky in a wavelike pattern, dropping a Digivolution Card & a Training Grips card in front of Lyra. Leomon destroys Sepikmon with a Fist of the Beast King that he shoots while playing dead, & the phantoms vanish. Unfortunately, the data streams right into Wormmon, who expands in a blast of green light.*

<Wormmon Digivolve to...STINGMON!>

*A similar streak of light drops a Digivolution Card at Hideki's feet, as he's presumably hiding behind a mailbox & some garbage cans. It's a good thing, too, because the shoulder thing that enables Darkness Wave dissolves when Monodramon tries to use it, & Meramon spreads his arms wide, throwing magma rocks into the sky which rain down in Monodramon's general direction.*

Hideki looks at the Precious Card From Beyond and runs it through his D-Power.

Monodramon: "Monodramon Digivolve to...!"

Blah blah Digivolution sequence and out comes Strikedramon. The Commando Dragon charges towards Meramon, the metal plates on its body, glowing red hot.

*Lyra grabs the digivolution card and uses it*

<....Gladimon!>

*Gladimon charges the Stringmon, attempting to cut it to pieces*

Cameron:<Then we can rescue Kylie and Lunamon.>

*Fire against fire isn't very efficient, so they're now wrestling, throwing flames everywhere. Sirens can be heard approaching.*

<EVIL ANTENNA!>

*Stingmon flips his antennae forward, purple waves of energy pulsing out of them. This stuns Gladimon for an instant, so Stingmon produces a glowing purple blade from its arm & makes a diving stab at him. They hear the sirens also.*

*Thiera shakes her head.*

T"No good, I can't find him. I hope he's okay."

E"Well, look on the bright side: It's just a matter of time until the Digimon figure out a way to open a portal from their side. Then we should be able to create a portal large enough to get back."

*Gladimon parries with his swords then slashes, aiming for STingmon's stomach*

Lyra:<We better get out of here.>

*Cameron nods*

Strikedramon kicks Meramon in the stomach and follows through with jabbing it with lance.

*Stingmon dissolves. Leomon is already running away on all fours. Hopping over a fence, he keeps going.*

E"But what are we going to do to help in the meantime? I don't like sitting around feeling useless."

Azuma: "Make a plan for when we get back to our world? Such as how we're going to deal with Belphemon."

Hideki: "Strikedramon, let's go."

They all bugger off.

*Gladimon grabs Lyra then runs after the Leomon, jumping over the fence*

*As they're all running in presumably the same direction, they eventually come to the park, only to find that it is under heavy patrol by Hypnos.*

E"It's hard to come up with a plan without accurate, up-to-date information."

T"Well, I am downloading some updates on the state of the Digital World."

Strikedramon immedietely seeks cover, hiding in some bushes.

*Gladimon does the same thing*

*And so now everyone is crouched behind some bushes like a bunch of perverts. Leomon turns to them when the agents in the region walk away.*

Leomon<Who are you? Where are Euryale, Azuma, & their friends?>

*Thiera brings up a map. Some of the sections have holographic images of wreckage, & no Digimon dots moving around.*

T"It looks like they mostly went straight through the Zones. The damage to each Zone of the Digital World is less as you move farther from the center. The Zones with the least damage are 3 and 4."

E"Yeah, but the Celestial Zone was completely destroyed, the Sovereigns' Zone is abandoned, & Zone 1 is just barely holding on."

T"I was hoping that Hypnos could help to save the first Zone, but if the plan's been approved...."

E"Then Kurata is heading the operation, & no one is going to be saved."

*Euryale & the other guy punch a wall in unison.*

Lyra:<Sorry, never heard of them.>
