Eve:<You don't have to come.>

Astarte stood by Noct, while Hector and Eduj continued heading out.

Grimm walked in and looked for a manned register.

"Wait, my funeral? I thought you were getting supplies for everyone," Noct said, crossing her arms, "I didn't know everyone had to go down to pick out their own gas masks or whatever. I'll cover the costs."

"A guy in a fedora," Gabe answered.

"Wait, he thought a guy in a fedora came into my dorm, and threw me out of a window?" Noct asked.

"Makes more sense than 'monsters did it'," Gabe pointed out, "At least, that is what they said... Seeing the video just drove me to drink..."

L"Fedoras do tend to be associated with assholes. I'll just tell him that we're going to look for him, & he might want to keep an eye out himself, & avoid being alone on campus."

T"I think she meant that you'll be relying on us to get whatever you need, which is...questionable."

Noct pointed to Hector, or if Hector already left, then Astarte, "I'm sure Hector will do his best to make sure his sister, and friends are properly outfitted."

"Oh, wait, Hector is your brother," Gabe asked.

"Old news," Noct pointed out.

Gabe crossed her arms, "Well, I'm new."

Eve:<I think gathering supplies is the most important thing to do right now. You don't have to come, but don't just be dead weight.>

"Of course," Hector said, nearly out but not quite. "I'm sure we won't miss anything essential. And yes I am."

T"Let's not fight."

L"And let's get going. If I could be attacked by a monster at any time, I don't want to waste what might be my last few days."

<I'm sorry Noctis, I shouldn't have snapped at you. I'm just really stressed.>

Noctis shrugged and said in a biting tone, "I thought nothing of it, trust me." Gabe nudged Noct's shoulder, causing her to shrug again, "Anyway, Lilith is right. I'm going to go."

With that, Noctis waved to Lilith and headed on her way out of the library, Gabe close behind. Sab took Aroma's hand, left as well.

*Grimm finds some redneck looking kid with a bad shave, flannel shirt, & faded red baseball cap reading a newspaper. He doesn't even seem to notice that anyone is there.*

L"Alright, then, let's go."

*She & Thiera make to follow Hector.*

A"Where is this apartment? And won't we need clothes, if we're staying there?"

Astarte hurried after Noctis.

Hector and Eduj were now heading to the camping supply store.

Grimm walked over to him and spoke, "Can I use a telephone?"

"It isn't that far," Noct said, "It is in the city, we can take a bus there. You're right about clothes though, I didn't even think about that."

"Yeah, it is your place, I'm sure you have clothes, but what about us," Gabe said.

"I suppose we'll just drop by the dorms first," Noct said, "It'll give us a chance to pick up Mortal anyway. And, uh, sorry for walking out without you Astarte, I was a bit upset." She reached a hand out to her, and flashed her some puppy dog eyes.

*Eve and Cameron also follow Hecor and Eduj*

<Don't got one. Everyone uses cellphones nowadays.>

*He licks his finger & turns a page.*

*Walking into a camping supply store, they are immediately greeted by a display of various sundry provisions; trail mix, blankets, band-aids, disinfectant, etc. near the counter.*

E"I recommend getting something for self-defense, if you don't already have it."

L"Does anyone know if you can buy a machete?"

A"We haven't been in our dorm since...what if it's still there?"

"That's okay," Astarte took Noct's hand, then looked to Aroma. "It could be. It could also be anywhere else."

"I'd expect a machete in a hardware store, but there could be something here," Hector said before heading up to the counter, or where ever he could spot an employee.

Grimm turned away from the boy and fished his own cell phone out, staring at it for a few moments. He put it away and turned back to the boy, "Would you be able to do me a favour? I really need a cab into town."

*Eve starts looking at camping supplies, while Cameron follows Hector to the counter*

Noctis smiled, and swung her hand a bit, liking the feeling of it being weighed down.

Gabe looked at Aroma, "Astarte is right, if it could be anywhere, then it could come for us at any point." She took a deep breath, "And since we can't do anything that might prevent that it makes little difference what we avoid."

"So our only hope is to outrun it if we see it," Sab said, "But we won't always be able to do that, will we?" She looked at Aroma, and began tearing up at the thought of losing her.

*Aroma begins tearing up when Sab does.*

"...I'm scared, & we haven't even left campus yet...."

*They approach the dorm building, its shadow glaring down at them mockingly.*

L"Machete."

*The brunette woman behind the counter hesitantly points at an aisle. Lilith nods & goes to get a giant knife. Euryale follows.*

E"You have the right idea, but I don't know, I'm not sure if a machete's really me...."

T"Okay, so we wanted masks...I can get plastic bags from home...do you think that we might need longer-term supplies?"

*Eve follows and gets a small knife*

Cameron:<Canteens, flashlights, batteries.>

"Oh, and where would I find flares?" Hector asked the brunette woman.

"It's okay, we've escaped from it numerous times before, you'll be alright," Astarte said, entirely disbelieving it herself.

"If you could call one out here I'd be very grateful, my cell is dead."

Sab gives her a hug, and sobs. Gabe just kind of pats them both on the back.

"Lets just get in and out," Noct said, "The less time spent worrying, the better. You guys get clothes, and I'll go get Mortal."

"Meet up in the lobby?" Gabe asked.

"Sure," Noct said with a shrug, as she opened the door to the dorm.

<All of the electronics are in Aisle 6. The flares might also be there. I can take you to a rack of canteens, if you'll please follow me.>

*She gets up & heads somewhere.*

E"Hey, how much of each of these things are we getting?!"

*As they get in the elevator, the lesbians crying in each others' arms get some strange looks. It stops on their floor first.*

<Nah, dude. Don't think I can do that.>

Sab gets off, and begins making her way down the hall, full of dread the entire time.

Assuming Gabe and Noctis get off on their floors as well, Gabe heads to her room, and packs about a week's worth of clothes in a backpack, along with her phone charger.

Noctis knocks on her door, since Mortal has her key, and is surprised to have her door open quickly, showing Mortal in a some pajamas. Before Noctis can say anything Mortal pulls her into a hug, "I just saw how far that drop is. Monster, asshole, or whatever, I'm glad you're safe."

Astarte stood around in the hallway behind Noct.

Hector walked to aisle 6 and started looking for flares. Eduj followed him and grabbed a pair of flashlights and some batteries for each.

"...Why not?"
