MagnaAngemon goes on offense and swings at Doumon with the Excalibur.

Angewomon creates a halo, attacking Kyukimon with Saint's Air while Sakuyamon sics more fox spirits on it.

*Using its mastery of the ancient art of Stop, Drop, & Roll, Weregarurumon extinguishes itself & exhales its own blast of flames at Sakuyamon because it makes no sense at all that it wouldn't have an ability that all of its other Digivolutions does. On the other hand, Kyukimon is obliterated. Even if Knightmon blocks with something other than his sword, it makes no sense that he could "just stab again" because he's locked in a clash with Astamon's gun, so I'm just going to say that Astamon kicked him in the side. Doumon blocks the excalibur with the brush, tossing more exploding talismans in MagnaAngemon's face. Wargreymon flash steps behind Doumon & spins, becoming wreathed in a tornado of flames. Smaller flame tornadoes split off from it, traveling at each of the enemy Digimon.*

*Assuming that Kylie & Tsune are on their way out, they pass this exchange.*

Sakuyamon counters, sending their own flames at WereGarurumon with Jouenkobu.

MagnaAngemon blasts Doumon with Soul Banisher.

Cameron:<Not really. We could collapse some of the outer corridors and use the rumble...>

*Kylie waves, and Biyomon waves back*

Gekomon<You can't destroy our home! Just use Etemon's stage equipment. Or the pieces that you already blew off of the roof.>

*Gallantmon comically waves his spear arm.*

*The talismans are blown back in Doumon's face, resulting in it exploding after being caught in a flaming tornado. WereGarurumon meets a similar fate. Astamon, on the other hand, leaps over Knightmon & continues down the tunnel.*

Astamon<Catch me if you can!>

ML<He wasn't just a random monster. I don't think the Doumon was, either. Did Kurata make new hybrids?>

*Wounded, Astamon turns to make his final stand, shooting in their direction as they try to come down the hall. WarGreymon holds up their Brave Shield, bracing themselves against a plausible tunnel collapse.*

*As they head across the desert, things are pretty uneventful. When they arrive at the data stream, a packet of data bumps Kylie's leg.*

*Kylie picks it up*

Cameron:<Right. We'll start blocking exits. Gekomon, can you and the others lay the webs?>

*Knightmon blocks with his sword, bracing himself*

They duck behind the beggiest, bulkiest and less wounded as it's difficult to do much of anything until they press forward.

*WarGreymon diverts one of their claws from the task of keeping the roof from falling on them, obliterating Astamon's head with a blast of fire, followed by the Digimon itself. Of course, the tunnel takes this moment to start collapsing, forcing WarGreymon onto their knees. MadLeomon raises its arms, charged with the Fist of the Fallen King, to help hold it up.*

*MadLeomon grabs onto WarGreymon's legs. They flap their wings to produce a burst of speed before Great Tornadoing out just as the passageway collapses. As they move through the passage, they hear explosions, splashes, & the clashing of metal growing louder, until they're sure that it must be coming from the next cavern over, which could be why there is a wide entrance on the opposite wall into the dark abyss.*

MagnaAngemon heals any wounds the cast may have before setting off.

Lyra:<Should we go in?>

*A shouting Calamon falls out of the beam, flaring his ears to catch himself & start flying before he hits the ground. He floats level with their faces & holds out a hand.*

ML<Regulumon & IceLeomon were planning to lead an enemy force into this cave & destroy them. That's probably their battle.>

*The data stream suddenly turns red, & they find themselves surrounded by converted Aegiomon & Doggymon that pop out of nowhere. The shadows of a pair of Thunderbirdmon also fly overhead in a ring. Without warning, they begin raining down hundreds of electrically charged feathers. One of the Aegiomon charges after Lunamon, who has been separated from the group.*

*Meanwhile, at the sound of an explosion, the whole Concert Hall shakes & pieces of the ceiling begin falling off.*

ML<All the more reason to hurry.>

*MadLeomon makes a loping run for the next cavern over.*

*Lunamon digivolves to Crescemon, who slashes at the Aegiomon then continues back towards the humans. Kylie grabs Tsune and tries to find some cover*

*Cameron runs over to a window and looks out*

*They die quickly but horribly, because it was made abundantly clear that they are in the middle of an open desert, surrounded by enemies, with the only feature around being the data stream, which the enemies are coming through.*

*Tsune uses her D-Power to shield them. The Aegiomon then rush in, fists charged with lightning, but they do not reach them in time to prevent Calamon's head mark from glowing as he shouts & grabs on to Kylie. Gomamon swells to Ikkakumon, tanking their attacks & swatting them away.*

Ikkakumon<I don't know how long I can keep this up!>

Ts"Right!"

*As the shield fades, Tsune swipes the Blue Card, transforming him into Zudomon. He lays on top of them & squishes them, protecting them from the attacks with his shell. The Aegiomon & Doggymon turn their attention to Crescemon, rushing her instead.*

*He sees a group of 6 Cannonbeemon moving towards their position, supported by large amount of Airdramon & Quetzalmon. On the larger Cannonbeemon, he sees the tell tale red blotches of Kurata's army. Below these Digimon is a cloud of dust moving towards their position. It is difficult to make anything out, but some dinosaur & tank shapes appear to be visible. A salvo of missiles & laser blasts is launched at the castle. A pink energy net springs up in front of the window, creating a great fence that blocks several of the attacks before collapsing, lasers stabbing into the castle & causing the whole room to shake.*

*Inside, the swords of several Mistymon illuminate a battle on the edge of a large, subterranean lake. Regulumon blocks an attack from one, which throws an orb of fire at him, only for him to block it with a Beast King Wave & bite Mistymon's neck, destroying it. Iceleomon blocks another with his ice staff & breathes frozen air over a group of them.*

Azuma: "They might have this under control."
