That is pretty much a verbatim description of Tactics's plot. It all looks pretty good, but is still not an actual sequel, which is rather disappointing.

Neither of them are right. Frankly, the best thing about 012 is that Square knew goddamn well that they couldn't go anywhere else. They made an extended version of the game to increase the cast by about 50%, then they quit. If they listened to the fans, we'd be up to Dissidia 7 by now, with no improvements to the main game & the story mode long since gutted, but by God, we'd have every single character from IV, V, VII, VIII, IX, X, & XII, half of VI's ridiculously inflated cast, & characters starting to come in from the spinoffs. Of course, since there are only so many gameply elements to toy with, Auron would basically just be a costume for Cloud.

I just couldn't help but giggle at 'all the dick'. As for the game, depending on the story, I'll give it a look. FFT was a incredibly well done game, and I'd love more like it.

Tactics Ogre is supposed to be more like it, but with a branch plot, instead of a linear one.

I haven't looked into T.O. mostly because of money, but f a competent Tactics sequel was produced, I would pretty much slay the gods to get it.
