*He sees the inside of a dusty old church. Euryale just plain opens the door, drawing the hunting knife as she heads inside.*

*Ok, she opens it*

*Cameron and Tirea shine their flashlight around the inside, looking for anything odd*

Eduj followed the lot of them into the church at the rear. In the back room of the church, where the vestry is found, a chair is dragged loudly across the floor.

Azuma: "Sounds like the place isn't abandoned."

E"I was just thinking the same thing. But there might be clues here. If it's the crawling monster, we may be able to kill it, the real problem is if the white monster or the Shadow shows up."

*She transfers the hunting knife to her left hand & pulls out the machete.*

I have received your message. I will be in a meeting this morning. We can speak afterwards. I should be free starting from 8 AM.

*Meanwhile, Lilith is scanning the notes & Thiera is logging in to a computer. She looks over to Taiyo.*

T"Why don't you sit next to me? There's almost no one here."

*Lilith looks over at this exchange, as Thiera pats the seat to her left.*

"What do we do? Just burst in there swinging?" Eduj pointed to the door likely hiding the source of the noise.

Eve:<I have a message from our Professor. She says we can speak with her after a meeting.>

*She starts logging on to a computer*

Tirea:<We could try going in from different angles or something.>

Azuma: "It probably knows we're here already."

Taiyo sits beside Thiera. It is probably very awkward.

"We open the door & keep going until we see the little one. If the Shadow or the big one appear, we escape. Otherwise, we corner it & hack it to bits, going for the limbs to incapacitate it first."

*She crosses her weapons in front of her & takes up position on the side of the door.*

T"I'm sure Euryale's fine."

*Thiera puts the document into a shared folder for the class, then starts editing it with additional details.*

T"The church isn't as secluded as the asylum. If anything goes wrong, they can easily get back into town."

Eduj took a place by the other side of the door and lightly put a hand on the handle. After an internal countdown from 5, he shoved the door open but made no move to go in first.

*Eve opens the shared document, then responds to the email*

Please let us know when you are done and ready to meet with us.

Eve:<Did you hear what I said Thiera?>

*Cameron and Tirea shine their flashlights inside*

Having brought nothing with them, the two hang back. If shit goes south, they can attempt to go get help.

Taiyo: "Right...."

Against the wall opposite the door, Cameron and Tirea's lights illuminate Grimm sitting upright in a chair looking right back at them. He appears to have a handgun lying across his lap with his hands resting on either side of it. He calls across the room, "Are the flashlights necessary? Please, come in."

Cameron:<Can you ditch the gun first please?>

"Certainly not," Grimm stated flatly. "You may well have a gun of your own, or some other weapon, and you haven't yet told me why you're in here at all. How many are hiding out there?"

"Hold on, first of all, you're still alive?"

*She shakes her head, lowering her blades.*

"Wait, never mind that. You might have been right about Roatha breaking in here. He's possessed by the ghost of his evil uncle, or something. He already took Sab & Aroma, & if he broke in here before, he might be keeping something here. Mortal, Noctis, & Gabe are missing, too, probably taken by the Shadow. But Ira--that's Roatha's evil uncle--says that our professor survived & can help us out."

*The # simply texts back, "8 AM. North end of Campus. Regards, Dr. Lara Schreiber." Should she check her clock, she will see that it is currently 6:45 AM.*

T"Yes. Do you have a time or a place?"

*She looks back to Taiyo, forcing a smile. Meanwhile, Lilith is wandering around, peering into the stacks. Thiera looks over.*

T"What are you doing?"

L"Keeping a lookout. The Shadow's appeared in the library before."

T"This runs sort of counter to my attempts to ease Taiyo's worry."

L"Sorry. But we should get on the move as soon as possible. Maybe see if we can find what happened to Senthose."

The two look at each other like "Who's this guy?"

Cameron:<What reason would we have to attack you? Sorry, but we've had a terrible couple of weeks. And...>

*He looks away*

Eve:<8am in the North End of campus.>

Grimm narrowed his eyes in obvious suspicion and silently considered this information, one hand idly scratching at his burn scarred neck. He spoke again, "I'll have you come in here, now, all of you. I won't speak of this across a room."
He looked away to the left and said, "Someone else is here, I believe you knew each other."

T"That's not very specific. How are we supposed to know where to meet her, or even what she looks like?"

*Euryale also narrows her eyes, suspicious.*

E"If that's the case, then why don't YOU come out HERE?"

Eve:<I'll ask her.>

*She texts back*

"...Fine, sit on the pews and keep your hands where I can see them," Grimm stood up from his seat with his pistol held lax in one hand. "Forgive me if I don't trust the people who came uninvited to my church armed to the teeth."
Eduj looked to Euryale for direction.

Astarte waited quietly, wrapped up in her own fear.

They comply as it's not a good idea to defy the loon with the gun.
