Episode Eleven: War

Commandramon One: "My name is Commandramon. I'm a soldier. 53699."

Commandramon Two: "Shorter term exposure to the initial indoctrination procedure means the effects may not be permanent or long term.

Destroying the production facility will only result in productivity coming to a halt. The Gears are controlled in the command center."

Azuma: "So the Black Gears aren't implanted while they're brainwashing you?"

Commandramon Two: "Negative. All canidates are lucid while they are given commands, and the philosophy of the New Fallout is implanted into them. Only when sent to the barracks or into the field are the Black Gears implanted to ensure the canidate only follows the instructions of their commander and Machinedramon. When taken from the field, they Black Gear is removed and the process starts over."

E"So even if we stop this, it might not do anything."

A"We should still help as many of them as we can!"

E"We'll be helping by killing Machinedramon."

R"Can you really kill a robot?"

Terriermon:<If we blow it up and reduce what's left to tiny pieces that should do the trick.>

Cameron:<So let's hit the command center.>

Azuma goes to open the door, but it's stuck with debris piled over top.

Azuma: "Someone wanna give me a hand?"

*So Euryale goes over to help him with that.*

R"If we tell this Ebemon guy what we know, you think he could be of any help?"

Eve:<Unless he is working for Machinedramon.>

*Biyomon goes to help as well*

Lifting up the door lets some wind and snow in which is damn cold, but with a little struggling they heave it open and get a good look at the remains of more than half the city.

Commandramon Two: "Ebemon is an enemy of the state who is to be eliminated on sight for collaborating with the resistance."

Azuma: "That answers that."

Eve:<I suppose.>

*Eve sends the following message to Ebemon: We need your help. Can we meet?>

*Roatha approaches.*

R"I'm surprised you're not knocking everyone over to get to the enemy base."

E"I was just thinking, it would probably be best if we got some assistance from the resistance. Maybe they can find a way to sneak through the security system, or make a distraction for us, or something."

Quote :

Negative, I cannot allow my location to be further compromised. HiAndromon will meet you once you're below the surface.

Azuma: "Find a functioning elevator and carry on from there, right?"

The world around them is deathly quiet beyond their own chatter. It's hard to tell if the sky is dark because it's late in the day, smoke from the mostly destroyed city or both.

E"How is he going to find us?"

*Aroma sends a message asking just that.*

Quote :

Staying in place will not get anything done. I have limited access to the survelliance systems within Machinedramon's base of operations. How soon you are found depends on where you enter from.

Euryale: BE MORE SPECIFIC! >:(

Good thing no one's reading over their shoulder as that was answered ages ago.

Quote :

A functioning elevator which you will not find in Sectors One or Two. Half of the elevators in Sector Three are down as well.

Their best bet would probably be continue with the go to the Kremlin plan.

Alright, thank you. 


Eve:<Looks like we can take an elevator down in Section 4 or potentially 3. Should we meet up with the resistance or go in, guns blazing?>

E"We should probably wait for reinforcements, but we can't wait forever. Perhaps 5 minutes?"

Azuma: "We haven't seen anyone since Igamon who don't even know if they're still alive."

Eve:<It appears that they won't come to us.>

E"I really meant wait for reinforcements once we've used the elevator."

With that settled, they presumably set off, climbing over the wreckage until they get on the road or somewhere that isn't full of debris.

Without all the being constantly watched and shot at, it's kind of a depressing place, the only signs of life being them, but without the things to sidetrack them it doesn't take forever to enter Sector Three which is noted as not being entirely reduced to rubble.

On the side of a barely intact building is a poster that reads "War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength."

*They keep walking, Lunamon giggling at the sign*

*As usual, Aroma edges towards the toughest-looking person in the group as they walk. Guilmon moves ahead, sniffing, so Euryale smiles & lightly touches Aroma's arm. She looks at her in surprise, then offers her arm for Euryale to link with. She also leans a little closer to the Amazon, who in turn draws Taiyo closer to her, since they're presumably holding hands or something. In Aroma's other arm, Lalamon looks around in confusion, but settles on leaning into Aroma's side, hugging her.*

D<You jealous back here all by yourself?>

*He receives a foot in the butt & hops forward.*

D<Ow! What did you do that for?!>

R"Tripped."

Giving something for Aroma to be really afraid of as the Kremlin comes into view is the PA system crackling to life. Damaged during the bombing raid, there's a lot of harsh static and feedback before Machinedramon's Grim Monotone comes over it.

Machinedramon: "We are coming for you. Run, and we will catch you. Hide, and we will find you. No matter what you do, you are all going to die."

The road outside the gates to the Kremlin's courtyard opens up, the elevator raising a platform holding a cryostasis chamber labled Bo-1170, an armored monster bound in chains inside of it.
