Episode Eleven: War

*Aroma is afraid, so Euryale wraps an arm around her.*

E"Don't worry, we'll be fine. (Might want to stop following advice from the locals, though....) Just give me a moment."


*Euryale & Guilmon Biomerge, blasting that thing with Final Elysium. Aroma & Lalamon also Biomerge, Rosemon putting a hand on Gallantmon's shoulder, which is probably an odd sight. Dorumon Digivolves to Champion or, space permitting, Ultimate.*

Terriermon:<First time we've heard that one!>

*Terriermon and Biyomon digivolve to ultimate, while Kylie and Lunamon biomerge*

The cryostasis chamber is destroyed, the monster Darkdramon remaining unharmed. The chains binding it dissolve and it looks around, surveying the scene.

Darkdramon: "Scanning....searching for....codename BANT-YO. Target unavailable."

It begins moving towards them, showing no hostility repeating the same words again and again.

*They don't attack it & look to each other in confusion.*

G<"(We could tell it that whatever it's looking for is down there? Or send it on a wild goose chase.)">

Rapidmon:<(Let's see if we can trick him.)>

It walks past them before something inside makes an audible snap.

Darkdramon: "Objective override. New objective: Eliminate Chosen Children."

Within one motion before they know what's happening, Darkdramon has Gallatnmon by the neck, Gigastick Lance at the ready to run them through.

*Gallantmon uses Spiral Saber, Rosemon wraps the whip around the spear with her whip & at Darkdramon's shoulder--both electrified--& Doruwhatevermon hits him with a steel sphere.*

*Rapidmon fires his homing missiles at Darkdramon, Dianamon aims several arrows at his head, and Karatenmon uses Feather Flare on him. Eve and Cameron get the hell out of the way*

Darkdramon opens its mouth firing several shots of dark matter at the incoming projectiles, destroying them. With a sharp pull, Darkdramon pulls Rosemon towards it, smashing its forehead into their face.

Patamon Digivolves and MagnaAngemon barrels into the monster shield first. For all his trouble, Darkdramon punches him, knocking him on his ass.

*Gallantmon stabs it in the neck.*

R<"Oouuuch!">

*Rosemon staggers back, grabbing her head.*

G<"Aroma, tie it up!">

R<"Uh, right!">

*She makes vines come out of the ground, trying to bind Darkdramon's legs to its respective arms & its tail to its torso. Doruwhatevermon tentatively rises into the air to see if it's safe to fly.*

*Dianamon and Karatenmon both leap foward and slash at his neck/back respectively. Rapidmon just tries to punch him in the face*

In a section of the city untouched by the bombing raid, it is unsafe to fly and DoruGreymon is quick to come under antiaircraft fire.

To further demonstrate its superior speed as the first time wasn't enough as well as its superior strength, Darkdramon breaks from the vines and crouches, spinning around and kicking everyone's feet out from under them.

Angewomon readies an arrow, but Darkdramon cements the hopelessness of the situation by rushing and knocking her ass flat, the arrow firing off aimlessly into the air before Darkdramon turns its attention to Sakuyamon.

*Arrow, Feather Flare and missiles all aimed at the asshole's face*

DoruGreymon gets shot to high Heaven, forcing him to regress to Dorugamon.

Darkdramon jumps over Sakuyamon, destroying the missiles with dark matter shots. Sakuyamon spins around, swinging their staff at Darkdramon who blocks and kicks Sakuyamon, knocking them flat on their ass.

Darkdramon opens its mouth, ready to fire another volley when the antiaircraft guns engage and BlackWarGreymon barrels into Darkdramon.

Its armor cracked, breaking apart and breathing heavily, BlackWarGreymon looks over its shoulder at the group as Darkdramon assesses its new opponent.

BlackWarGreymon: "Run!"

Cameron:<Can you take him alone?!>

*Gallantmon uses Final Elysium on it while it's distracted.*

G<"I won't leave anyone behind! Besides, if that thing isn't destroyed here, it will follow us & jeopardize the mission!">

*Taking Gallantmon's lead, Aroma whips it, & whips it good, with an electrified rose whip thing that apparently also has mind control powers.*

R<"Bad robodragon! Heel!">

R"What am I supposed to do, demoralize it with insults?"

*Dorumon spits a metal ball at it.*

Darkdramon jumps up to avoid that shit, the plan being totally forgotten because no one has faith in their savior. They are all terrible Christians.

BlackWarGreymon: "Round two."

BlackWarGreymon roars and flies in pursuit of Darkdramon swinging a claw at it. The attack is blocked, but the follow through connects and BlackWarGreymon drives Darkdramon into the ground.

BlackWarGreymon readies to drive a claw through Darkdramon who kicks its opponent off and hops back to its feet.

BlackWarGreymon: "RUN!"

*Rapidmon uses Golden Triangle on it, while Dianamon attempts to put it to sleep, and Karatenmon uses Feather Flare again*

*Rosemon's jewel flashes & she blasts it with rose petals. The others repeat their attacks.*

R"You're ugly & stupid & I bet you took your mom to the prom!"

Darkdramon jumps to evade, blasting them with dark matter shots which BlackWarGreymon moves to intercept, its shield denting and cracking. Sakuyamon attempts to aid it their own shield barely holding.

The plan abandoned because a group of duntzes decided to look a gift horse in the mouth, Darkdramon is probably going to survive the encounter and hunt them to the ends of the earth.

Darkdramon charges BlackWarGreymon whose shield can't tale any more punishment and it shatters upon impact with the Gigastick Lance. BlackWarGreymon envisions its first encounter with Darkdramon long ago as Omnimon, the Omega Sword clashing with the lance.

Ramming the Dramon Killers into Darkdramon, BlackWarGreymon takes flight, dragging the monsters ass with it, both of them being peppered with antiaircraft fire.

OOC: That's not even what that phrase means & they'd look like dicks if they abandoned AngstWarGreymon.

*Gallantmon leaps into the air, trying to defend AngstWarGreymon with her shield. The others can't really do much. Rosemon tries to snipe DARKNESS!dramon with thorn shots & lightning.*

*Rapidmon goes Golden and uses his ungraded missiles on Darkdramon. Dianamon and Karatenmon both fire again*

BlackWarGreymon holding on to Darkdramon Rosemon's and anyone not Gallantmon's efforts either in vain or counterproductive.

BlackWarGreymon drops to the ground below, smashing itself and Darkdramon into the pavement. Battered and beaten, the two struggle to their feet, their bodies, weapons, and armor broken or breaking in multiple place, data escaping from multiple wounds.

BlackWarGreymon raises its broken claws, charging a Terra Destroyer.

I'm sorry, Carly.

In a flash of purple light and fire all that remains of the two titans is a shallow crater, their data escaping to the four corners of the Digital World.

*The digimon land and regress, Kylie running over to the crater and looking down into it*

Lunamon:<I...can't believe it's over...>

*Terriermon climbs up on Ev's shoulder and flexes his ears*

Azuma steps over to the elevator control panel.

Azuma: "It's not over until we defeat Milleniummon. Let's not let BlackWarGreymon's sacrifice be in vain."

In a distant part of the Digital World, raw data collects on the empty tray of Anubimon's scale taking the form of Darkdramon, the Darkdramon weighing more than the feather on the other end.

Anubimon: "Guilty."

The Darkdramon figure is enveloped in black and vanishes as the monster's soul is condemned to the Dark Area.

Data collects taking on the form of BlackWarGreymon, the scale not moving. Anubimon stares in thought at the figure on the scale.

Anubimon: "Innocent."

When the world is set right and the Village of Beginnings is restored, the redeemed hero will be reborn.
