Episode Eleven: War

Azuma: "No point in being up here in this morbid sitting room."

He begins going downstairs, Hitomi following.

Meanwhile Taiyo holds on to Euryale because dead people are scary and reassurance.

OOC: As mentioned previously, my decision is that corpse is not recognized as the same Euryale from the old 3D, & if you try to contradict me, I'll bring the old Euryale in to make the point. I don't care what you do with the other characters. But since I am much nicer than I should be, as an alternate, I will allow you to keep this retarded retcon on the condition that I get at least 50% creative control on the circumstances of & references to Old Euryale's death. Your move, Canadian.

E"Don't worry, we'll be fine. After all of this talk about destiny, it would be pointless & stupid if we could all just be randomly killed & replaced by a bunch of interchangeable &/or identical pawns."

*Meanwhile, Aroma grabs onto Roatha, because he's the nearest person. He raises an eyebrow & she says not to read too much into it.*

*Eve watches Aroma grab onto Roatha, then heads back downstairs*

Azuma: "Pretty sure Witchmon's talk about roles wasn't about us humans."

Presumably they go to the basement, tromping all over the posters scattered across the floor on the way there. The light from outside that shown briefly through the sheets covering the windows is replaced by a brighter light, presumably from spotlights.

Renamon: "We can't stay here long."

R"You wanna let go of me now?"

A"Not until I'm sure we're safe!"

R"We're never safe, so what, are you going to hang onto me for all eternity? What if I have to go to the bathroom?"

*Meanwhile, Euryale & Digimon are gathering all of the food & water that they can carry.*

*Eve, Cameron, and Kylie stuff their backpacks with stuff as well*

The water being in bags makes that difficult to accomplish (no one remembers who has canteens) and how many boxes one can loot depends on how much crap they already have in their bags.

Azuma peeks out the kitchen window, the back of the house facing an alley, the spotlights doing very little to illumimate it as they face the streets.

Cameron:<I'm surprised they haven't found us by now.>

*Luckily for them, they can Digivolve to carry more. They then head up the stairs & in the direction of the back door.*

Azuma: "Somebody knows we're here and likely Machinedramon does too."

That's gonna bite them in the ass and they know it, but w'ever.

The backdoor takes them into a dark alley, more posters barely visible along the walls of other buildings. Going straight leads them to the streets with all the patrols and spotlights while an approaching right turn takes them deeper into the alley with all the darkness and mysteries.

Cameron:<We better go right.>

R"You smell anything in there?"

*Dorugamon sniffs & reports back.*

Probably dust, dirt, and oil as there may have been patrols passing through.

The loudspeakers from the streets crackle to life, a voice coming over them. It's different from the previous announcement being spoken in a grim monotone.

???: "This is the voice of world control. I bring you peace. It may be the peace of plenty and content or the peace of unburied death. The choice is yours: Obey me and live, or disobey and die."

R"(Hey, let's take his offer.)"

E"What?!"

R"(Shh! They'll take us to their headquarters, then we can bypass all of the goons & kill Machinedramon directly.)"

E"(Can you really 'kill' a machine?)"

*Aroma shakes her head, squeezing Lalamon until she lets out a little "oomph."*

A"(No, no, it's far too dangerous!)"

D<(Getting cornered wherever we go is pretty damn dangerous.)>

Terriermon:<(Machine digimon are alive too, damn it!)>

Cameron:<(All turn ourselves in. Maybe half-and-half.>

Azuma: "At this point, we'd probably end up being shot on sight."

A door opens and what looks like a malformed black pump peers out.

???: "Psst, Chosen Children! Over here."

*Aroma pushes Roatha & Euryale together, so that she can better hide behind them.*

R"(That's creepy.)'

E"(Do we really have another choice?)"

*So they head over, Aroma shaking her head the whole time.*

*Everyone heads over*

Lunamon:<What's up creepy guy?>

If their face wasn't obscured, they could see how offended this mon is. Seriously, fuck you guys.

It peers behind the door and motions for them to come inside. Anywho chose to not go inside is shit out of luck, as the door is locked upon being closed.

The hooded figure turns a light on, showing they're in a storeroom of sorts or what may have been a storeroom as aside from some a few crates, it's devoid of anything else.

The hooded figure pulls their hood down, showing themself to be Igamon.

Igamon: "Have you made contact with the enemy?"

R"We have many enemies in all parts of the world. You need to be more specific."

*Kylie glares at Lunamon*

Lunamon:<I didn't mean anything! It was a joke.>

*She pouts*

Eve:<Machindramon forces? We fought them earlier.>

Igamon: "There are less patrols at night then the day, but it is no less unsafe."

Azuma: "Can you tell us where Machinedramon's base is?"

Igamon shakes its head.

Igamon: "We have not found it. We suspect it is underground, but our searches have not yielded any results. And we have too much going on as is with trying to liberate Factorial Town or at least halt the production of Black Gears and keep Ebemon hidden."

Cameron:<That 'get them to take us to Machindramon' plan is sounding better and better.>

R"Don't know what ELSE we're going to do."

Igamon begins to wonder how the fate of its world has been entrusted with idiots who think this'll play out like a James Bond film, but as a professional it does not show this frustration.

Igamon: "If you made contact with the enemy once, they would have tried to apprehend you. If that failed they are ordered to eleminate you on sight."

Azuma: "You know this how?"

Igamon: "I've been at this since LadyDevimon controlled Server barring the domed.city. Those who are captured are publicly executed almost immediatly."

Taiyo seems almost relieved they botched their plan before it was concieved.

Azuma: "What was that other stuff you mentioned? Ebemon, Factorial Town, Black Gears."

Igamon: "Factorial Town was located on File Island, but was relocated to beneath this city when the Dark Masters warped the Digital World. Ebemon and our leader, HiAndrmon resided there. Ebemon conducted their research while HiAndromon surveyed the factory's operations.

Prior to this, Piedmon stole the Digimental, having no interest in the Machine DigiMemory or the steed Ebemon has been working on rebuilding. We are keeping Ebemon hidden to protect the DigiMemory and so it can finish rebuilding the steed.

When Machinedramon's forces took over, the Guardomon inhabitants were destroyed when it became apparent reprogramming them would take too long and the factory was repurposed for the manufacturing of Black Gears.

The Black Gears are what Machinedramon uses to keep partially mechanical like the Andrmon residents of Factorial Town or the Commandramon & Sealsdramon in its ranks under its control as well as the subdue non-mechanical prisoners before executing them."
