V"Aroma. Is there a mission tonight?"

A"Oh, hey Ven. Yeah, why?"

V"I want in. I need to blow off some steam. And I want to hurt someone who deserves it, for a change."

*Aroma hears a muffled sound that she thinks is Ven punching her pillow.*

A"Okay...that was kind of intense. Are you sure you're feeling up to it?"

V"Never been surer of anything in my life."

A"Well...I guess it couldn't hurt. With Thiera out of commission, they might need some extra power. So, you need to go to...."

*Specter soon emerges from the shadows.*

"You didn't think we wouldn't keep an eye on you, did you?"

"Oh, shit."

A helicopter flies over and sirens can be heard in the distance. Azuma follows the helicopter.

Elsewhere, Summer grows agitated at staring at Salad Fingers.

Summer: How long must we wait?

Morrison: Not too long. They're always drawn to the problems of this city. They don't pick their battles and that is why we're stepping in.

Eve:<Oh, I'm so glad you're here. We've been waiting for you.>

L"I just told you, it's not your concern. Apparently, Grapevine can't make it tonight, but that doesn't explain a few of the heads we're missing.

*Specter digs out his cell phone.*

L"Are they coming?"

A"I don't know, but I'm sending a new girl after you. She should get there pretty soon. She's surprisingly fast."

L"What?! We didn't talk about this!"

A"Sorry, but I know her, it's fine."

*Ven bounds along the rooftops on all fours, headed towards the meeting location. Under her normal outfit, she's donned some kind of dark grey hooded jumpsuit, with parts of the hood modified & looking a bit like a Batman mask. She's also wrapped dark grey cloth around her feet & hands, so that she can work while keeping her claws at the ready.*

"What's going on?"

Hard watching them grow up and leave the nest, huh?

Maybe they pass Ven, maybe they don't, it doesn't matter. As she's looking like another crazy, it's probably best to keep their distance.

Mimiru: "What was that?"

Azuma: "Someone with a worse get up than ours."

Eve:<Oh, err, I'm...well I've been going with Evening Star, but I might change it...and this is...>

*She looks pointedly at Jin, who hasn't told Eve her super hero name yet*

*Specter switches to her headset that I forgot she had so she can listen to Aroma without appearing to be ignoring the new kids.*

"Um, Yams," Jin shrugged.

I guess this little bird is fighting criminals who will kill her.

I don't care if Baglady Ven reaches them or not. If anything one of those roofs should cave in under the weight of her angst.

Elsewhere, Azuma & Mimiru duck on a roof as a helicopter hovers above what appears to be a stand off with the police, assholes holding out in one of the city's many dilapidated apartment buildings.

*Specter gives "Yams" a look, & soon after casts a wary look at something running across the roofs. She puts her headset on speaker or whatever.*

L"Hey, is that your 'New Girl,' heading towards Queer Arrow?"

Aro"Yes. I've already filled her in. And it looks like there's a standoff with police going on at an apartment building."

L"Nothing we can do about that. Without Grapevine, there's no way we can get in and out without being caught."

Aro"You could if you could stop time. I'll explain on the way."

*Shrugging, Specter pulls out some headsets.*

L"I'm suspicious, but Aromatic Grass says that she can ensure you won't double-cross us. These came out of may personal paycheck. I expect to be paid back."

*Eve takes one of the headsets and puts it on*

Eve:<Thank you. We will be happy to pay you back. Anyway, getting into the apartment should be simple.>

*Aroma starts giving directions & Specter heads off.*

L"Once we get into the denser sections of the city, we'll head to the rooftops to meet this mysterious 'New Girl.'"

Aro"Sounds like a good idea. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that Evening Star can slow down or even stop time."

L"'Pretty sure'?"

Aro"Well, I've only seen her ability once, I don't know that much about it."

They can kind of hear some shouting from the building, but thanks to the helicopter, it's not at all legible as opposed to the police officers down below shouting into a megaphone to release the hostages.

On the roof, they can see two people in Tyranno Boy get-ups that shoot out the spotlight on the helicopter when it's shined on them.

Azuma: "Looks like that's the way in."

Mimiru: "Others are coming, we should wait."

Azuma: "What? How do you know?"

Mimiru: "Woman's intuition."

Azuma: "Okay, fair enough."

Little do they know, a telepath is telling them to hold the phone while a Not!Speedster knew about the stand off before it even happened.

*Eve follows silently after Specter, doing her best to keep up with the others*

Jin followed after, not showing her speed at all beyond normal ability.

*Presumably, they get to a point where they can find a fire escape or something, & are united with Queer Arrow & someone who appears to be dressed in a half-assed fursuit.*

L"So what should we call you?"

V"Didn't really give it much thought on the way here."

"...Should we all do 'introductions'?" Yams suggested with a half-shrug.

Eve:<Well, I'm Evening Star. It's a pleasure to meet you.>

Azuma: "Did your 'woman's intuition' say how long it would take for them to arrive?"

Mimiru: "How should I know? They probably got sidetracked by a cat being stuck up a tree."

V"Thanks, you too. And you're...Specter, right?"

L"Yes. I should remind you, we're on a time limit."

V"I'll just go with Gray Wolf for now, then. Lead the way."

*On instructions from Aromatic Grass, Specter leads the way.*

*Following, Eve preparing to use her powers once they arrive*

Jin followed at a regular pace after saying 'Yams'.
