| No one here gives a crap about Nintendo. The Peril of Hipster Economics.I tell my aunt her neighborhood is in need of gentrification because I get tired of hearing about her awful neighbors. I think it'd only make things worse. Viewing shitty houses is a reminder of previous occupancies. I did not live in nice residencies. Shit Liberal Feminists Say.I can almost see why people view radical feminists as being fucking crazy, but at the same time liberal feminists are the social democrats of gender equality. Which is to say they don't want to make actual change, just make the current system a little nicer. Ayn Rand Wrote A Guide for Hollywoof on How to Make Pro-Capitalist MoviesFrom detachment from reality to hypocrisy and back. How do you even need an instruction manual for that sort of thing, just have Porky standing on a balcony wearing a suit made of money for an hour and a half or so and conclude it with eat the poor, and you're golden. | |

| Ah, sorry if I was confusing; I had actually brought that up because of one of the links that Tsukuyomi had dropped in here. I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. | |

| Minimum Wages & Job Loss. The author may not be aware of other retarded arguments against minimum wage raises like the belief that companies will just move overseas as if it were as easy as moving a couch to another room or automation will replace the worker which is something that'd happen regardless under capitalism. Speaking of automation.... Automation And Putting the Blame on Worker.Another swell aspect of automation the author doesn't cover is that when the work day is over, production does not have to come to a halt because the workers go home. Neoliberalism – The 'Zombie Doctrine' at the Root of All Our ProblemsWhy would the United States dare to follow the same ideology as fascist Chile? Because Pinochet wasn't a communist. The author also states that fascism appeals to "losers," as they respond more to slogans, symbols, and sensations. This can be demonstrated by Trump supporters spouting "Make America Great Again!" as if it were a substitute for an actual argument. Although to say Trump is a fascist is delving deep into leftist logic as he's closer to authoritarian than outright fascist. And perhaps something less on the side of political and economic thought but not really: The Subtle Design Features That Make Cities Feel More Hostile. Those bench designers do not know about my willingness to lay on a goddamn bech regardless of design. | |

I wouldn't say that since I hardly know anything about him other than he went a match against Mayweather and lost, afterwards facing something regarding not telling about certain injuries before the match and I heard something about him comparing homosexuals to dogs. So the article was kind of enlightening. Maybe also in the sense it's not only in the US actors become politicians, if you see what I mean.

| Ironically, there are a few other parallels that you can draw between politics in the United States and the Philippines. Bongbong Marcos for instance is sometimes compared to one of the Kennedy family of American politics since his father, Ferdinand Marcos, is an extremely controversial historical figure who is a member of a large family that is influential across the board, but takes a great deal of criticism. The parallels are rather interesting. | |

| How the Invisible Hand Was Corrupted by Laissez-Faire EconomicsMuh praxeology and the market will fix itself despite all evidence to the contrary. And the notion that the Invisible Hand was only used ironically in Smith's works as he only mentioned it by name once in two separate pieces except he really did take it seriously is hysterical. - Quote :
- Faith in the Invisible Hand led to the once-general belief that a higher minimum wage results in lost jobs. It presumes that the wage paid reflects the worth of the workers and that any wage increase resulting from a minimum wage law represents an overpayment to workers, reduces profits, and also reduces the hiring of new workers.
This is actually still a very common belief to this day although many of those people likely have no idea what they're spouting beyond the usual conservative rhetoric that completely ignores how economies work. Capitalism And Nazism.Because the age old claim that Nazi's were socialists needed further rebuking. Next up, why the Soviets weren't communists. The Age of Loneliness is Killing UsI'm okay with this.

| I told you, every criticism of Hillary will have an article explaining how it's apparently secretly sexist within the hour. It can't even just be wrong or irrelevant, no it must be known that questioning Hillary is synonymous with hating women. Also, trying to make her more relatable by giving her a jacket worth a year's rent is the masterstroke of a truly ingenious plan. | |

| I have a truly odd one today. Apparently Microsoft tried to connect user search history and the incidence of pancreatic cancers. I actually ready the paper, and it seems that they were looking for people who did searches about the cancers in question, then claimed that they were able to find who had it based on that. It has to be one of the most bizarre and circuitous studies I've ever come across. | |

| The problem with those images is that the Soviet Union was pretty keen on allowing women to enlist in the armed forces as opposed to the muh soggy knee shown.
Such as the existence of the 588th Night Bomber Regiment or the up to 800,000 women that served.
Comes with the communist ideology.
