Old Ones Return (VII)

Taiyo goes with Euryale, Renamon not far behind.

Ts"Oh yeah, that's not awkward at all. 'Good bye, person I hardly know because the 1 thing we have in common is a horrible lunatic trying to murder us.'"

*So they walk up to Thiera, their happiness mocking her, & Euryale flashes her a weak smile that she does not even try to return.*

Th"Was it successful? Can you Biomerge again?"

E"Oh--uhhh, nobody asked. I guess there's only 1 way to find out."

*So she removes her arm from around Taiyo's shoulders & takes a step back. At the same time, Agumon approaches, & in a flash of golden light, WarGreymon stands before them. She inspects their claw.*

<"Well...I don't feel as strong as I used to, but it's a start.">

Lyra:<...It's more than we have in common with her than we do with most kids our age.>

*So, she and Kotemon head off after Taiyo and Renamon*

*Kylie claps her hands*

Kylie:<That's great news!>

*She looks at Thiera, trying to smile, but likely failing*

Kylie:<We-we'll miss you...>

Taiyo: "Do you really have to go?"

*Thiera looks most surprised at their reaction, but eventually shakes it off as WarGreymon transforms back.*

Th"Err--yes. I would only be a liability otherwise."

*Euryale gives her a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], lifting her off of the ground slightly. Thiera looks more taken aback than ever.*

E"I can't repay you enough for helping me. We'll be sure to keep in touch."

*Thiera finally smiles a little, & pats Euryale awkwardly on the back.*

*Tsune eventually gets up & heads for wherever Hitomi & Azuma fucked off to.*

Lunamon:<Yeah! We'll let you know as soon as we kick Kurata's nasty butt!>

*Cameron waits for Euryale to put Thiera down before approaching*

Cameron:<Don't...don't forget about all the good times we had together, alright?>

They didn't go very far from where they were at before. Why Tsune would seek them out after her last encounter with Azuma is a mystery.

*Euryale eventually does put Thiera down, allowing her to readjust her clothing & hair, which were knocked askew.*

Th"Well...I will try...that is all I can promise...."

*Eventually, they see the clouds part as the data stream begins to descend.*

Th"You will all need to stand back."

*So Euryale & Agumon begin backing up.*

E"You'll stay in touch, right? I'd feel a lot better knowing that you were helping to monitor the mission."

*Thiera nods.*

Th"Of course."

*After finding them, she stuffs her hands in her pockets & kicks a rock, looking like she's trying too hard to look bored.*

Ts"Hey. Thiera is leaving."

*Kylie and Lunamon both step back. Biyomon has to drag Cameron back to a safe distance*

Cameron:<I...I guess this is goodbye...for now.>

Azuma: "I guarantee I am the last person she wants to see."

Ts"I don't know what's going on between you 2, but maybe she'd be less upset about whatever it is if you showed up."

Th"I guess so."

*The data stream touches down behind her, wobbling slightly.*

*Lunamon and Kylie wave goodbye, both looking very sad. Cameron wipes his eyes with his sleeve as he watches the data stream touch down*

Azuma: "I doubt it, but to prove a point."

The two and their partners head to wherever.

Ts"I guess I'll tag along. Not like I've got anything better to do."

*She sticks her hands in her pocket & walks along behind them, avoiding eye contact with anyone. She may or may not be blushing. By the time they get there, Thiera is waving & starting to back towards the data stream. Seeing them, she stops, looking conflicted.*

Th"Oh--hello."

Azuma: "Hey..."

*Everyone looks from Thiera to Azuma. Biyomon coughs awkwardly*

Th"Well--thank you for coming. I will be leaving now. Maybe we will speak again soon."

*Gomamon waves & nudges Tsune.*

Ts"Mm. Yes, goodbye. Err, have a safe trip."

Th"Thank you."

Lyra:<I'm so sorry...for all the pain I've caused you.>

Taiyo waves and says "Goodbye." Renamon's ears droop a bit as while she is not the emotive type, Taiyo's state reflects on her.

OOC: She's not really emoting that much....

Th"It's fi...."

*She chokes up, says "goodbye," & heads inside. The Data Stream begins returning to the sky. Euryale keeps waving at the sky, sniffing.*

E"...I never thought that things would change this much...."

A<I know what you mean. But, on the bright side, we also have more help than what we started with.>

*He looks towards Lyra, Tsune, & their partners. Tsune looks around like "why are you singling ME out?" & Gomamon nods.*

*Cameron waves furiously as the data stream returns to the sky*

Cameron:<Remember what I said! We'll be here for you!>

*Lyra looks away awkwardly*

Taiyo: "What do we do now?"

E"All I know is that we'll have to be ready to invade Kurata's base soon."

A<Is anyone else getting nervous that he hasn't made a move yet?>

G<What do you mean?>

*Agumon turns to Gomamon.*

A<Well, he knows exactly where we are, he's always ambushing us, & we barely survived his last attacks. What's he waiting for?>

Ts"You're disappointed that he's not killing us right now?"

Biyomon:<He's probably planning something awful. We should strike quickly.>

OOC: Being disappointed someone isn't trying to kill them is abnormal? News to me.

Taiyo: "How?"
