Abyssal Blade Rebellion

Ark: <...Who said anything about stealing?>

*He sticks his head into the bushes*

Ark: <I wanna kick their asses. Hard.>

"You implied it."

*Senthose holds out a hand & an orb of black-&-green gas explodes in the middle of the enemy.*

<Once it turns to smoke, it loses its poisonous properties.>

*Shortly afterwards, all of the green leaves the cloud.*

"You kinda did Ark."

Ark: <Yeah, I really didn't if you read think back. Anyway, let's go!>

*Hitomi crouches in the bushes looking less 'broken'.*

*After they run down the bank of the river to the wharf, the woman stands up, unsheathing a red katana.*

Lilith<Rhasheverek? What are you doing here? Why are you interfering?>

Senthose<Why are you rebelling in the first place?>

Lilith<You honestly don't know? The temples contain hidden machina to assist in focusing the Fayth's magic. You might say that Machina is the very foundation of Yevon. And in these hidden chambers...some of the high echelon priests are researching Sinspawn. Sinspawn that were collected after the destruction of Baaj.>

Zephyr remains quiet and listens. When the two finish Zephyr stretches and yawns, "So... do you have proof?"

*He widens his eyes and smiles at her*

Ark: <Hey there, wanna go for a walk just you and me?>

Zephyr punches Ark in the shoulder, "Knock it off"

*Smirking, Lilith removes a sphere from her coat & drops it on the ground, where it begins to play a projection: A search of Djose temple. As a secret panel is opened, the projectionist moves through several hallways of heavy machinery. Eventually, they come to a room with lab equipment & a large Sinspawn Alpheus caged in the corner, its claws & tentacles having been cut off.*

Lilith<Can't deny it now. Isn't that right, summoner?>

*Hitomi watches the projection showing now signs of interest.*

Zephyr nods, "Luna, it looks like she's telling the truth. It's your call. What do you want us to do?"

Ark: <...Machina again? Psh, I always knew those priest guys were liars. No offense, Lunes.>

"You kidnapped these people!"

<To keep them safe in the coming battle!>

"You tried to blow up the Highroad!"

<Again, to keep casualties to a minimum!>

"You tried to kill us!"

*Lilith starts to open her mouth, then just glares at them. After a few moments, she speaks again.*

<I'm through playing 20 Questions. You have 2 choices: Join our resistance or die. You know far too much to be sent on your merry way now.>

"We wouldn't if you didn't show us anything."

"She has a point. Still... whatever Luna choses I will follow. Its my duty as her guardian."

Ark: <No sexy ex-Crusader lady's gonna hurt Luna on my watch!>

"Sexy? She's flat as a board!"

*Lilith's eye twitches.*

<Whelp, YOU'VE made up your mind. I would advise the rest of you not to get dragged down by her, but I can't stop you.>

*She slings the red katana onto her back. It's slightly longer & thicker than what we'd consider a katana, & the thick pommel suggests it's pretty heavy. She widens her stance & they hear some movement behind them, where a group of Crusaders are gathered. There's a short male with red hair armed with a spear, a similar-looking Crusader with a basket hilt rapier, an emaciated-looking Crusader with long, straggly black hair armed with a bow, a female Crusader with long, brown hair in a sort of long, colorful leather dress with a Glyphgun, & a pair of Crusaders in black mage & white mage robes, the former being a blond man with a doll, the latter being a blond woman with a long, metal rod.*

"Tch, way to blow any chance of peaceful negation Luna" Zephyr pats her on the shoulder indicating that though he sounded mad he was in reality telling her he agreed.

Ark: <Don't worry, Luna, you're sexier.>

*He draws his dagger and points it at Lilith*

[We're outnumbered and Ark's stupid...]

*She glances at each of the Crusader's behind them mumbling something then taps Ark on the shoulder.*

*He looks at her over his shoulder*

Ark: <What is it?>

"Take out the white mage first, then the black mage and soulcribe."

*Hitomi casts Shell on Ark.*

*He widens his eyes and nods, clenching his left fist. He abruptly turns around and dashes towards the group, jumping towards the white mage at the last minute and stabbing at his chest*

*Luna parries strikes from the spear & sword Crusaders, but gets stabbed by the sword-wielder when he counters. The spear-wielder steps back & begins charging some kind of spell. Lilith runs up towards Luna & slashes at her from behind. Ark gets blasted out of the air by a bullet of magic force. The white mage casts protect on herself while the black mage throws his doll at Hitomi.*
