Abyssal Blade Rebellion

"Because it does"

*Ark rolls forward and slashes at a Mushroom*

*As the mushroom is killed, they see some Abyssal Blades further down the road, herding monsters into a kind of corral made of fallen rocks.*

"Let's just keep going & try to stay out of sight behind the pillars."

*Senthose waves a hand, demolishing the pillar that the Crusaders attacking them were standing on & burying them in rubble.*

<Lead on, Guado Girlie.>

Zephyr resumes his place at Luna's side. Ever alert.

*Hitomi follows at the back of the group.*

*Ark walks up behind Hitomi*

Ark: <Psst.>

"Yes?"

Ark: <(D'jose can be pretty damn romantic. Just sayin'.)>

*He giggles and runs past her*

*Hitomi stares as he runs off looking real confused like.*

"W... what?"

*Luna leans over & whispers into Hitomi's ear.*

"(You 2 would make a cute couple. We can stop for a little bit, once we get to Djose.)"

*They're almost out of Mushroom Rock. All that's left is a 20 foot stretch without cover.*

"I'm missing something aren't I?" Zephyr looks puzzled.

OOC: lol at Harley's waifu getting hit on.

Ark: <I was wondering. Surely those Ex-Crusader guys are planning on attacking the temples some time soon. Why won't the Maesters send more people to protect them? I mean, not every Summoner has this many Guardians, and even we met some trouble on our way here.>

*Hitomi looks even more confused.*

"W... What?"

<Send them from where? They need to protect Bevelle & they have no way to communicate with the loyalist Crusaders in Besaid or Kilika. Besides, even if they could, there's no way there's enough there to take on this kind of force.>

"Then what are we going to do?"

<Nothing. Sin will be along shortly & that will be the end of them.>

"That's a horrible thing to say!"

<But true nonetheless. Sin won't tolerate this kind of rebellion.>

"What do you mean?"

<Sin destroys those who challenge Yevon's teachings. Surely you've noticed this by now.>

"But he destroys the faithful, too!"

<Then wherein lies your protection?>

"Someone said that too me once before, sounds familiar... but I don't remember when... or where."

*Hitomi keeps staring unaware of what they're talking about now and still confused over what was last said.*

[Me and Ark? A couple? No, no, no!]

*She shakes her head mumbling something that sounds like "Stupid thief."*

OOC: Due to my shitty memory, I mixed up where Djose & the Moonflow were, in relation to each other. However, I'd have to change a lot of plot shit to correct this, so in this RP's canon, Djose is after the Moonflow. This change has also been chronicled in the Information topic.

"Some~one is blu~shiiiing!"

*Luna is looking back at her & smiling, but Senthose is looking in another direction. They are moving through a forest now, approaching a river with an abundant amount of Pyreflies moving along its surface.*

<We will undoubtedly have to defeat a large number of the enemy here. Then Gilgamesh himself later at Djose.>

"Luna..." Zephyr stops, "Why do you want to die?"

"I'm not blushing..."

"What? What are you talking about?"

*Meanwhile, Senthose is peering through the bushes at the Moonflow's wharf.*

"During the final battle against Sin, you die regardless of the outcome."

"I heard a couple of people at the temple talking about it when we were ejected that time because Ark was being a monkey and decided to run in."

Ark: <I love the way he calls me a monkey but never had any problems with me acting the way I do to get us food.>

*He slows down and stares at Luna and Hitomi*

Ark: <...What's up?>

"I suppose I just want Sin to be destroyed, if only for a little while."

*She sounds like she's lying, but quickly changes the subject.*

"Wait...you steal food?"

*Senthose motions her to look through the bushes, which she does. Anyone else who does would see that there's a makeshift cage around the waiting bench where a number of passengers are being kept. The area is patrolled by a few Crusaders & the Shoopuf has been chained to the wharf, atop which is a few automated cannons & a woman with red hair.*

<Looks like they didn't bring much in the way of Machina arms this time. Either what few Al Bhed they have pulled out, or they're saving it for Djose.>

"Ark, think you can do something stealthy for once?"
