Zephyr is unable to fight

Max: <Fire!>

*Max shoots a bolt of fire at the Machina*

*Most of the machina weather the bullets, only the one hit by the fireball going down.*

"Max, did anyone bother to teach you about elemental weaknesses?"

*The 4 remaining sword-wielding Crusaders surround Zephyr, who still has 2 mostly functioning arms. Spotting this, Luna runs to his aid.*

*The woman laughs, grabbing her wrist.*

Woman<Kid, take a look at me. Do I look like I'd make a big deal over that sort of thing?>

*It's at that moment Ark barges in, toppling over the other Crusader. The 2 Al Bhed turn towards him, readying machineguns at their hips.*

*Hitomi tries scratching the Crusader's face with her other hand going for the Crusader's eyes.*

Ark: <Woah, what the--Hitomi!? Al Bhed!?>

*He dashes forward and punches at the Crusader's face*

*Zeno takes his time to carefully aim at one of the Crusaders.*

Zeno: <Bingo.>

*He fires.*

Zephyr hefts his blade and swings.

"This could be going better..."

*Syrona unloads her rounds on her target machina, trying to hit a weakpoint. But she doesn't have much experience against Machina so she was basically shooting blind.*

Max: <Weaknesses? Um....>

*Max thinks for a minute.*

Max: <Oh, uh... Water?>

*A stream of water shoots out his staff and heads for the Machina.*

"No!"

*One of the Crusaders turns around & slashes at her. She blocks.*

"Machines are weak to lightning!"

*One crumples under Zephyr's swing, another drops as Zeno shoots him, but the remaining one stabs at him from behind. Meanwhile, the machina bum rush Max, stabbing at him.*

Crusader<OwwwwwWWWWWW!>

*His helmet flies off as he whines in annoyance. The Al Bhed hold their fire as he grabs Ark by the wrists & tries to force him off.*

Woman<They're breaking through our lines. I'll have to activate the contingency plan.>

*She stoops down & pulls some kind of pin out of the bottom of the chair.*

*Hitomi scratches at the Crusader's eyes again.*

"This sucks" Zephyr says as he moves to protect Luna via stabbing her attacker.

Ark: <Like hell you're kicking me out!>

*He draws his dagger with his free hand and spins it in his fingers before ramming it into the Crusader's leg*

Ark: <Coming, princess!>

*Max stumbles backwards into a wall. With the Machina closing in on him, he panics for his staff.*

Max: <L-Lightning!>

*An arc of lightning blasts out of his staff and heads for the Machina.*

*Luna sweeps the spear over Zephyr's head, causing them both to take out each others' attacker. One of the machina falls apart, but the others quickly shamble over it.*

Crusader<Yeah, sorry Lucy, but I'm out.>

Woman<All is forgiven.>

*As she says this--Hitomi couldn't reach, by the way--segments of the chair's side deploy like spider legs & raise it up. The Al Bhed put their guns away, producing tasers & advancing on Ark.*

*Hitomi franticly prys at the restraints across her chest with a look of horror on her face.*

"Thanks for the assist Luna"

*Max casts another bolt of thunder on the remaining Machina.*

*Zeno slides to the side and dodges the attack on him and retaliates with a stab of his bayonet.*

Ark: <Yeah, okay...>

*Ark rolls forward and tries to circle to the back of the chair*

*Just as all of the enemies outside are cleared away, a big mechanical chair with Hitomi strapped into it strolls right out onto the field. A bright light shines on the headpiece & a magic bubble momentarily surrounds the party, including Hitomi.*

*The quartet had moved to the side to allow the chair to exit the tent. While the injured Crusader stayed slumped against some boxes, the 2 Al-Bhed raised their tasers & guns at Ark.*

Woman<Have fun with that. I'm going to go ignite the charges outside.>

*She strolls out of the tent after the chair.*

"Well that's not good."

Zeno: <Shit! Gotta think fast.>

*He looks for some kind of power source on the chair, firing at the legs of it as he does.*

"Hitomi got an upgrade."

*Syrona holsters her guns and joins the others in figuring out how to stop whatever was happening.*

*He runs out of the tent cause tasers*
