Golden Age: Revival

N"Never mind, there's not enough time. We're about to land."

*He points to the airport they're flying into. Near the town is a mass of jungle. They can see the tops of 1 or 2 step pyramids poking out from the trees. A jaguar stands on top of 1 & seems to be glaring at them directly, before leaping into the jungle.*

Isaac has woken up and Ren is now no longer listening to his music.

"Maybe coming here wasn't such a bad idea. That pyramid looks badass."

*Once in the airport, Nero picks up the package, which turns out to be more Babel Brick Pudding. They then shuffle out into the street with their baggage.*

N"Okay...obviously, we need to track down Euryale's sister & give her this stuff. But we also need housing arrangements while we're here. And I kind of want to get a look at those caves, something's fishy about that. So we'll need a plan of action."

*Roatha is staring at another plane that just came in, when he taps Issac on the shoulder. Only one person gets off of this plane: The man in the black trenchcoat.*

"Housing arrangements sound nice, but I don't think any of us own timeshares. Or speak the local language to find a hotel."

Allina: <I forgot what we came here to do.>

"You guys go" Isaac says to them.

Lune appears next to them. "Go, Isaac and I'll deal with this."

N"What the Hell is this, the Golden Age? We have the internet, we can book a hotel anywhere there's wi-fi. Like, oh say, an airport?"

E"I'm going straight for Stheno. But I do agree that these caves are a concern. If Stheno emerged from them, either someone set this up, or they connect all the way to Greece."

R"Don't be a moron. If he knew we were going on this trip, he obviously knew Issac would be at Taiyo's. He's waiting for something, & if we go after him now, we'll only make a mess. He must realize that too, or else he'd have killed us all already. He doesn't seem like the type to go easy on someone just for being a kid."

*He aims a kick at Lune's crotch.*

R"AND WHO FUCKING SAID YOU COULD COME WITH US?!"

"Wi-fi? What's next you're going to sit in Starbucks wearing an ironic t-shirt with an iPad while drinking an eight dollar latte?"

Allina: <Who are we talking about? Did you guys see the big kitty?>

The wind catches Roatha's foot and pushes him back. "If you didn't want me coming with than you shouldn't care about what I intend to do. Go find Euryale's sister and stop worrying about me. The more likely I'm dead, the less likely it is that'll kill you."

*Eventually, they reach the hospital where Euryale's sister is being kept.*

E"Hello, I'd like to see this girl."

*She shows the paper to the receptionist.*

E"As you can see, we're related. Probably. I flew in all the way from Australia!"

<I'm sorry, but the girl's guardian has already come for her.>

E"What? But that's impossible!"

<Are you calling me a liar? A man came earlier with all of the proper papers & everything. Says she was visiting her mother here & must have gotten lost.>

N"And that doesn't strike you as at all irresponsible?"

<Not my problem. Now, please, go away.>

"Was that man wearing a stupid trenchcoat with various unessecary buckles?"

Allina: <I still don't know who we're talking about.>

Lune grits his teeth.

"Of course."

*She unlocks a drawer & pulls a book out of it. It's an ancient, leatherbound volume with Old English scrawled all over it.*

*She glares at them.*

<You know, it isn't nice to pry into other peoples' business.>

R"Bah, as though we even have to ask. But this plan makes no sense. How are we supposed to find him without any idea where he's going?"

N"Isn't it obvious? If you were going to get rid of someone around here, where would you do it?"

Allina: <Oh, no! The big kitties are going to eat Little Euryale! We gotta hurry!>

"She's surprisingly astute when she wants to be" Lune lets off a snark earning him a shin kick from Isaac.

"The jungle."

Mimiru:<One of the many rivers.>

"A cave."

Mimiru:<Atop a pyramid where she's sacrifised to some god.>

"Near those trees that drop exploding fruit."

<"The possibilites are endless.">

*Euryale starts crying. Roatha puts a hand on her shoulder.*

R"Don't worry, we're gonna get her back."

N"Caves are the most obvious way to dispose of bodies. And the Aztecs tended to build their pyramids near caves, so we'll look for those. But it's the middle of the night, & our foe is armed & dangerous. We need a plan."

"So is he" Lune earns another smack for that one.

"Waiting till' daylight won't be the best idea and at night searching for her will be pretty difficult if not near impossible. Hey, what's your name, got any crap left over from your days of luxury and wealth that could help with the situation?"

N"How 'bout we just buy some flashlights?"

R"Will those protect us from gunfire?"

N"Not really, no. That's the part I'm having trouble with, actually. But the way I figure it, if we get the first shot, maybe we can get rid of it. Then it's not a problem."

"And how do you propose dealing with your gun totting future self?"

"Point"
