Golden Age: Revival

"Oooo, a gun room. Real scary."

N"Only rich people say their relatives are rich. I bet Thiera says her twin sister is the rich one all of the time."

E"Thiera has a twin sister?"

N"You're missing the point."

Allina: <You guys suck. And don't compare me to the rich lady.>

*She knocks on the door and a maid opens it. She greets them and leads them down a long hall to a luxurious living room, with a ridiculously high amount of sofas. A friendly old dude is sitting on one of them. Allina goes to hug him and then points at the others.*

Allina: <Hi grandpa! These are...>

*She looks at each one of them and frowns slightly.*

Allina: <...my friends, the ones I told you about. Taiyo, Mimiru, Euryale, Nero, and... errr--*cough cough*--I think I got a cold.>

*The old man looks at them and smiles. He has really tiny Santa eyes that look somewhat asian.*

Grandpa Daelph: <Nice to meet you all.>

"Right."

*Mimiru elbows him in the ribs.*

"I'm Azuma."

*Euryale walks up to him, holding out her arms.*

N"Oh, yeah, I forgot she does that."

*The old man widens his eyes, which results in them being able to get a glimpse of the blue iris, and stands up, smiling and hugging Euryale. Allina stares at them like "What the fuck?"*

Allina: <...We can't stay for too long.>

"We all did apparently."

*Euryale lets go.*

N"I was promised a free meal. I only eat on the days I can convince Roatha to buy me food. I need this."

"Wow. Even I live better than you."

*They're taken to the dining room, and several waiters and stuff carry lots of different dishes to the rectangular dinner table. Grandpa sits at the head of the table, leaves the chair to his right vacant.*

Allina: <Where's grandma?>

Grandpa: <She's out on some trip with her friends.>

Allina: <Okay... good for her. So, let's eat!>

*She grabs a chicken leg and starts nibbling on it like some wild animal, kind of contrasting with the old man's delicate and polite manners.*

Grandpa: <Razz didn't want to come?>

Allina: <Err--nope. School project. Or something.>

Grandpa: <Well, okay. You sure are an interesting bunch. Please tell me more about yourselves.>

*At this point Allina nearly chokes on her chicken.*

*Nero points at Euryale, Taiyo, Azuma, & Mimiru.*

"She's a gorgon, she's a harlot, he's gay, & she's really a man."

*Taiyo glares at him, Mimiru stabs her knife into the table while Azuma appears to be unphased.*

"And what are you supposed to be, a vampire?"

*Allina leans over to her grandpa, staring at them with her eyes wide open.*

Allina: <(They're just kidding.)>

Grandpa: <What do you plan to do after lunch? Maybe ride one of our horses, or take a tour around the land, or maybe even fen-->

Allina: <Leaving. We plan on leaving. We can't miss our plane.>

Grandpa: <...Oh.>

E"If I didn't know better, I'd say she's in a hurry to leave. Or in a hurry for US to leave."

N"Oh, Mimi, trying to eat the table now? Now, that's just letting yourself go."

"I'd say she wants us to leave."

*Mimiru pulls the knife from the table then her eyes widen and she looks beside her towards Azuma.*

"(Settle down. Wait till' we're outside.)"

Grandpa: <We have an underground hotspring, maybe you would all like to-->

Allina: <Wait. That's not a bad idea.>

Grandpa: <So, who'd like to go relax in the hotspring for a while?>

*Nero points to the window, where it's getting dark. He then mouthes, "Evil. Genius."*

E"Is anyone else getting some serious pedophile vibes?"

N"You're of age."

E"Still."

"I'd rather not. It'd probably be in our best interest to leave."

[Not that we will, but I'm allowed to get my hopes up once in awhile.]

Allina: <I'm all for leaving too.>

*Grandpa gets up and sneers at Nero in a very weird manner.*

Grandpa: <You teenaged boys are always the same. We have a boys hotspring and a girls hotspring. *sigh* I have business to attend in town. Make yourselves at home. And since you probably won't be here by the time I return, it was a pleasure to meet you all.>

*Allina walks him to the door for some more goodbyes and comes back seconds later.*

N"Why did he single me out? It was Euryale who made the pedophile remark."

E"Perhaps it's because you're being the biggest jackass in the room?"

N"Still."

"Well, seeing as I don't like it in here I'm going to take a stroll. Outside where I like it a little better."

*Azuma pushes his chair back, stands up, pushes it back in and heads out.*

Allina: <Okay! So. Girls! And Nero. Follow me downstairs. Can someone get us towels, please?!>

*They hear someone break into a sprint in the hallway.*

Allina: <Thaaaaanks!>

Taiyo:<I'm not going.>

"Yeah, me neither. For once in his life, Azuma has the right idea. I think I'm gonna take a walk."

*Mimiru stands up and leaves.*

N"Well, unless Euryale wants to bathe alone with Allina, I guess that plan is out."

*Euryale shrugs.*

E"Sorry."

*The pair stand up & leave the building.*

*Taiyo remains seated staring at her plate which had barely been touched.*

*Outside the two are for the most part wandering around the property possibly trying to find the way out.*

"And this was supposed to be a peaceful walk too."

Mimiru:<Shut up. Besides I'm out here for the same reason you are.>

"To escape the feeling of discomfort that probably everyone could feel building up?"

Mimiru:<Yeah. Not counting Nero being a jackass it was just awkward in there. I can't help but think that it's because Taiyo isn't her usual cheery self. It kind of feels like she was keeping a dark cloud away with what I thought was perpetual happiness.>

"Perhaps. You get the feeling the ka-tet broke?"

Mimiru:<That would imply it was whole to begin with. And don't call us that. Lay off those Dark Tower books.>

"You expect me to say merry band of heros or something? 'Cause if there's one thing we're not it's merry."
