Zarek:<Fortunately, static and my voice is all you're going to get. Had to use my annual free pass to the Material World your world to transport Allina to wherever she may be. So, how fairs the... Hunt fits in this situation, right?>

*Taiyo goes down the stairs.*

"Why aren't YOU looking for her?"

Tae: <Yeah, but I mean to go be her friend right now. I don't think she'd want to see me... Whatever, let's go look for her. Hawkmon!>

Hawkmon: <I'm here.>

*Tae looks down to see Hawkmon staring at him.*

Tae: <Oh. I thought you'd be dead by now.>

Hawkmon: <That lady just stood there staring at me. I think she's like that kid who's always counting the ducks at the park.>

Tae: <You mean she's autistic?>

<I'm right behind you. In front of you.>

*Euryale's mom lightly grabs Hawkmon's throat & then points at Tae.*

<And you can't go anywhere, you have groceries to pay for.>

*Zarek's cut off by what sounds like a large explosion coming from somewhere near him.*

*Taiyo walks out heading in the direction Tae pointed in.*

"You're not fooling anyone. Us girls always know when someone's staring at our chests. Always."

Zarek:<Are you almost done idealizing yourself? If so, how's the time back in your world? Spend some time with the family, bond with some of the other kiddies, alienate others, discover why there are Digimon attack your world?>

*Following the signal on her digivice, Taiyo finds Hitomi. Salamon stops nudging her and looks at Taiyo.*

Salamon:<You look awful. Where's Tae?>

"I feel awful, and he's being forced to work for something about groceries. Also he thinks Hitomi won't want to see him."

Salamon:<That's 'cause he's dumb. Where'd he even get that idea?>

*Salamon nudges Hitomi.*

"I don't know. Try licking her nose."

Salamon:<What? No!>

"Try it. Try it! Try it! Try it!"

Salamon:<Okay, shut up.>

"You're right, how silly of me. You're far too self-absorbed to notice that anyone else looks good. And how in the Hell are we supposed to do that? This world isn't exactly a small place, you know! How are we supposed to FIND these Digimon?"

Zarek:<This coming from the one who spent a good five or so minutes going on about her appearance and how she's the desire of non-biological men. Now I'd imagine they're not hard to spo->

*Zarek's caught off by another explosion.*

Zarek:<Now I'd imagine they're not hard to spot. It's been over twenty years since my last visit to your world, but I don't think garbage monsters, flower monsters, mutant dinosaurs, and giant birds are a common sight.>

*Salamon hesitates before licking Hitomi's nose making a "Bleh" face afterwards.*

Salamon:<Humans taste funny.>

*Hitomi wrinkles her face and wipes a hand on her nose. Sitting up she removes her glasses and rubs her eyes on her sleeve. Putting her glasses back on she looks around at Salamon then at Taiyo.*

"W...What are you doing here?"

Taiyo:<Tae sent me. I don't know why, but he thinks you don't want to see him.>

"That's not true. I... I do want to see him, it's just that... I don't know what to do."

[Tae sent her? Why does he think I don't want to see him?]

*Taiyo looks at her like she has no idea what she said.*

Taiyo:<You don't know what to do? What do you mean?>

"Tae... Tae confessed to me."

Taiyo:<That's wonderful! What did you say in return? You did say something, right?>

"No... I was scared and confused that I couldn't say anything. Instead I made him worry. I figured he didn't try to talk to me because he thought I rejected him. Wha... What about you? Are you feeling okay?"

[I'm talking to her like I talk to Salamon. Does that mean I think of her the same way as Salamon? I think of Salamon as a friend, does that mean I think of Taiyo as a friend?]

Taiyo:<I've had better days, but... *sigh* let's save talking about me for another day.>

*She sits down beside Hitomi who backs up slightly.*

Taiyo:<You could tell him how you feel?>

"I'd like to, but I don't know how."

[I wish I was like you. You didn't have any problems telling Euryale that you harbor feelings for her. I'd like to have that kind of... Confidence? Lack of self-restraint?]

Taiyo:<That's okay, I'll help you.>

"...What?"

E"Okay, EVENTUALLY we found some, but we had no way of getting answers, & we haven't had any encounters since. It's not like we know what we're supposed to be doing, you know! After several hours of not encountering Digimon, we were making plans to get everyone home."

Zarek:<You seem to have forgotten one of the functions of your digivice.>

*Euryale remembers the Tsukaimon that was turned good hours ago.*

Zarek:<You may not find many rookie digimon wandering about trying to ruin everyone's day, but you should really keep any eye out for them.>

Taiyo:<I'll help you confess to him and maybe he'll be so happy the two of you will spend the rest of the night all cuddly and lovey dovey.>

"...What?"

Taiyo:<*sigh* We'll talk on the way to Euryale's.>

"Okay?"

[Euryale... I think I hate Euryale.]

*The two stand up, Hitomi picking up Salamon and they set off, exchanging few words. Outside of Euryale's frontyard Hitomi stops.*

"Taiyo...? Are... Are we friends?"

*Taiyo looks at her like she just said the weirdest thing ever.*

Taiyo:<Of course we are.>

*Hitomi smiles and the two approach the door, Taiyo knocking.*

[I can count how many times I've smiled since I've been with them on one hand.]

*Stheno opens the door.*

<What is this, a gas station?>

Zarek:<In other words, no one bothered to ask anything because you expected it to do all the talking.>

*Another explosion can be heard.*

*They hear what sounds like a wall being barreled through followed by a loud, unfamiliar voice.*

???:<Dragon's Flame!>

*After what sounds like a large flamethrower being shot off, the moniter goes blank except for the words CONNECTION TERMINATED in bold, green letters.*

*Euryale rips out the power cable.*

[It was only yesterday that she was calling me Cheetohs.]

*Tae is writing on a piece of paper in the living room. Hawkmon's rolling around for no particular reason.*

"Which is the equivalent of nothing, & if Zarek wasn't such a jackass, he'd see that too! I mean, I think we puzzled out that Digimon were attacking when we were, you know, attacked by friggin' Digimon!"

*Stheno steps back to let them in.*

BlackGabumon:<Did you consider asking it anything in between mauling it?>

*The two enter with a "Thank you," Hitomi turning to Stheno.*

"Is... Tae still here?"

"We asked it questions. Like, 'how the fuck are you gonna pay for my window?'"

<He's talking to Mom. Hey, where's Cheetohs?>

*Tae stops writing on the sheet of paper and folds it a few times before shoving it in his pocket and getting up from the chair.*

Tae: <Mrs. Rak...Euryale's mom?>

BlackGabumon:<No wonder you didn't find out anything.>

Tae: <Could I could borrow an envelope and maybe a couple stamps from you, please? I'll pay you back soon, along with the groceries. It's... it's important.>
