| I like the band Aqua Timez, and nobodyknows+. UverWorld is cool, too. And I like both subbed and dubbed, they're both different experiences. | |

| I like dubbed when I'm lazy and don't feel like reading, or if the voice acting is good. If I'm really into the story I'll switch to subbed so I can be more up to date. If I'm REALLY into the story I'll switch to the manga so I can be entirely up to date.
That is how it went for Bleach.

| Both the subbed and dubbed have good parts, and bad parts. Some voice acting in both just sucks hard. | |

| Mostly, by whether or not it's enthusiastic, and by the voice, and how I see that character. | |

Because I said subbed is better than dubbed? Someone needs to start accepting divergent opinions. I also don't watch Bleach, Loki-kun. I made this conclusion based on the few mins I've seen of both versions on TV.

| Well, from the way you just said "no" it sounded like you were totally, unquestionably saying that sub was greater than the dub (and it could well have been about more than just Bleach... you just said 'no').
Most people I know that only watch sub and claim that dubs are bad are the type of people who abuse the japanese language by squeezing it into everyday, English sentences.
See what I meant, now? | |

| @Seraph: Have you heard Orchestra of Midnight? That's one of Aqua Timez's new songs, as you may already know. I'm not an otaku either, I just find that Japanese music can be better than the American stuff blaring on the radio. @Loki: Some dubs are really good, like the Death Note dub and the Black Cat anime dub. Bleach is also dubbed well. | |

| I have not. I will go youtube it.
Edit: I blame Tae for the resurgence of my Megaman obsession and the reason I've been listening to the opening of Battle Network Stream since last night.

See what I meant, now? I knew what you meant the first time you jumped to conclusions. There ARE a few anime with dubs better than the sub, but I usually prefer the original versions, and I'm not just talking about anime. Here's the thing, I'm not sure how things are in Australia, or the US, but most European countries broadcast 90% of foreign shows translated to their own language, and my country is like the exception, showing most stuff subtitled, so people around here don't usually like dubs.

| To address all of the faggotry in this thread:
I watch the anime dubbed, in fact I prefer it. The only reason I haven't been keeping up with Bleach's dub recently is because (A) I've watched these episodes & read the manga chapters, sometimes several times, & they're hardly the highlight of the series & (B) they went back to the Amagai Arc, which is shit.
I forget the question I was supposed to be answering in conjunction with this.
Rukia does not have a man's voice. Stop being sheltered. Next you're going to tell me Lust sounds like a man.
Lastly, "dubs aren't readily available" does not logically translate into "subs are preferred." It's like saying that you'd rather have quartz than gold because quartz is fucking everywhere. Not that dubs are more "valuable," my meaning is that availability is no measure of quality.

| For the record, I said she sounded like a man in the portuguese dub, then asked if it was like that in the original and english dub too. And by man I mean I'm pretty sure it is a man doing the voice acting, it's freaky. | |

| @Neo: I don't really know what to say now.... @Entranced: Yes, it is scary. Though it's not a man in the English or Japanese. But Hitsugaya is voiced by a girl in Japanese....the same girl who does one of the Nanas(I think Osaki)... | |
