Bleach Forums and the Ban Hammer

Yep. It looks like the project Adam is considering might not even be a Bleach forum. And that's if it gets done.

Which I doubt will happen.

Have not gotten a response back from him, but to comment on WZE4(?), I don't think a merger would be right. What? Would this become the small scale RP section?

I don't think he meant with us, but Adam said, and I quote, "Merger, not gonna happen." So, you know, moot point.

It does make sense on some levels, but also...a person can go to another site of their own accord. It's kind of pointless to "merge" if you don't have a situation where both sites can gain from it.

What he said, also, merging would be just terrible.

If you try to go to the site it won't even give you the apology letter, it just doesn't load. It won't even show up on google.

Given the fact that Adam was only on the forum a total of 5 consecutive times, it's not surprising that he would just give up on the trainwreck of a forum he created.

Honestly, I liked Adam, it was the people he put in charge, and the people they put in charge that I didn't like.

I still get the apology page... and yeah, Adam seemed like a pretty good guy, it was just the fact that he seemed to have nothing to do with the actual moderation after the mods were appointed that gave me the shits.

He wasn't on. You can't really be involved if you aren't on.

And, really, most admins don't do much. Unless it's a small forum, or the forum is connected to another site (like a game or an archive), then you only get contacted to resolve disputes about bans & such. And, for various reasons, they usually aren't overturned anyway.

Oh, I suppose there is one additional exception: When the site begins to die, it's usually up to you to do something about it.

Having been on that "give us your opinion on the site" thread or whatever, it seemed to me that when he was on, he was too busy dealing with stupid complaints like "ZOMG ADS!" to do anything about the site's real issues. It just goes to show you, your members WILL run you into the ground, given half a chance.

I never understood the complaints about adds. Like, at all... they were only ever an issue when it came to videos, and I have adblock for that.

For some reason, people always have a stick up their ass about ads. I don't get it either. There's shit that's way more annoying than that. There's parts of the BOARD that are way more annoying than that.

I just didn't get how something so easily fixed could cause such a ruckus.
