Digital Mayhem

*ShadowWereGarurumon falls back, terrified. The Kyukimon's head rolls away and stares with wide expressionless eyes. The body dissolves while the head remains for some time before dissolving.*

"G-good job, team?"

*They fly over the forest the other group entered, seeing more footprints that just stop. At the end of the trail is a large two floor house with a red shingle roof.*

*The axe disappears and Euryale glares at ShadowWereGarurumon.*

"If you don't want hep, then don't ask for it!"

Allina: <Oh God, what the fuck.>

*Allina's crouched down pulling Patamon's wings in front of her eyes.*

Allina: <Make it go away.>

Tae: <Smells like Zarek.>

Aquilamon&Razz: <Smells like trap.>

Tae: <Let's be optismic for once, okay!?>

*Aquilamon and AeroVeedramon land in front of the house.*

*Taiyo goes over and hugs ShadowWereGarurumon as he degenerated back to BlackGabumon. She then looks at Euryale.*

"It was a little scary."

*They get a glimpse at the front of the house with its white walls, dozens of windows, and wood double doors that are the same red as the shingles.*

Allina: <OH MY GOD. IT WON'T GO AWAY.>

*Allina curls up on the ground with her eyes closed. Patamon hides behind her.*

*Tae looks at Razz and then Hitomi, smiling to the latter.*

Tae: <Shall we?>

*Veemon's walks to the front door and tries to open it.*

E"This isn't fair, HE was going to beat its brains out!"

*She points at ShadowWereGarurumon as Black Agumon growls at Taiyo.*

"It's head was just sitting there, staring!"

*Taiyo hisses at BlackAgumon. They soon hear multiple gunshots coming from straight ahead.*

*The doors open to a long hallway. Sitting a few feet away is a box which the top half of a skeleton wearing fatigues on a spring pops out of and fires an assualt rifle at Veemon.*

*Allina doesn't move because she's weirded out to no end. Patamon peeks out from under his wings and looks around to confirm the gunshots aren't coming from too close before covering his eyes again.*

Tae: <Woah!>

*Veemon widens his eyes, stumbles back and rolls backward a ways. Razz runs to the wall to the left of the door and quickly peeks inside. Tae grabs Hitomi's hand and pulls her to the right, and then walks over to the right of the door, also peeking inside.*

"I have to go to the bathroom!"

*Euryale marches off into the woods behind them.*

A<Me too!>

*Black Agumon marches after her.*

"What?"

*Taiyo lets go of BlackGabumon and follows after the two. BlackGabumon follows after Taiyo.*

BlackGabumon:<But what about...>

*Seconds later the shots stop and all they hear is a non-stop clicking from the contraptions finger still squeezing the trigger despite the gun being empty.*

*Tae slowly walks inside and down the hallway, Razz following and checking for any nearby door. The Digimon follow.*

*Why she followed is a mystery, as it's only to see Euryale sit on a stump surrounded by bushes & sob like crazy while Black Agumon pats her on the back.*

*Taiyo begins to take a step out of the bushes then stops and just sits down against a tree.*

[I did it again.]

"I feel sick."

*They hear an explosion. For Allina and Tsune it's louder.*

*Hitomi pulls on Tae's hand trying to get him to stop. Unfortunately it's too late precautions as the contraption explodes.*

Allina: <Ahh! Now they're exploding, like popcorn!>

Patamon: <...No, I heard that too. We should go check.>

*Allina reamains silently curled up on the ground.*

*Veemon digivolves and tries to stop the explosion on time with a wind barrier. Tae pulls Hitomi down and ducks over her with his back turned on the explosion. Razz and Hawkmon also duck, covering their heads with their arms/wings.*

*The duo hugs & Biomerges. They then fly towards the source of the explosion, slicing through whatever branches get in their way.*

*Taiyo watches as they take off then stares at the ground.*

"I suck..."

*They arrive to find everyone huddled up and cowering except for ExVeemon whose shit was slapped in or near the entrance way to the house which is mostly caved in. Allina, Taiyo, Tsune and their partners are nowhere to be seen.*

Hawkmon: <Veemon!>

*Razz pushes whatever rubble might be blocking his path away and hurries over to Veemon, Hawkmon following.*

Tae: <(Hi-Hitomi? Salamon?...Are you all right?)>

*She lands.*

{What is going on?}

"Ye-yes."

*Salamon shakes her head and stumbles a bit.*

Salamon:<Walked into an obvious trap.>

*Salamon looks behind BlackWarGreymon.*

Salamon:<You know you're missing a few people, right?>

Hawkmon: <Of course it was a trap!>

Tae: <Hey, I'm sorry, all right!?>

*Razz picks Veemon up and stares at the house. Tae pats Salamon and helps Hitomi up, looking at Euryale.*

Tae: <No Taiyo either? Odd.>

{We heard the explosion, so we came to scout it out.}

*Aside from the lack of door the exterior is the same it was when they arrived.*

Salamon:<Well, now you know what happened. So are you going to go tell them what happened or what?>

{I...I guess....}

*They fly off.*

*Allina's still curled up on the ground where the Kyukimon attacked.*

Tae: <So now we know it isn't Zarek.>

Hawkmon: <I will hurt you!>

Tae: <Hey, let's just focus on figuring out what's going on. Scout the building, okay? And be careful.>

*Hawkmon nods and digivolves, flying around the house.*

BlackGabumon:<Taiyo...?>

"I'm sure everything will be fixed in a little while. It's not the first time I said something stupid and hurt her and we got over that, so what's to say we won't patch things up again...>

*She holds on to the collar.*

"...Right?"

*Salamon stares in confusion.*

Salamon:<That was weird.>

*Around back a window opens up and Aquilamon comes under machine gun fire.*
