A Tale of Two Cities

T"We should talk about this after we get in the subways, people. And don't worry about the Megadeuses, I'll send my machines to pick them up."

*She heads for a nearby subway entrance, Lilith on her tail.*

*Hitomi reluctantly follows at a distance.*

Zell follows as well, "Hey," She called out to Hitomi, "Last time I saw you you were bleeding out in my living room, how did you go from that to piloting a Megadeus? Why are you after Scwartzwald?"

"I was ordered to come here when the Megadeus attacked. I was also ordered to go with you three."

L"Ordered? By whom?"

"My commanding officer."

"From what organization, who do you work for exactly?" Zell asked.

*Lilith picks Hitomi up by the armpits, looking very angry, & squeezing tight enough to cause severe pain.*

L"You must work for Vera. We don't like her."

T"Put her down, Lilith. Our priority right now has to be defeating Schwarzwald. And I don't think we can beat that Megadeus without all the help we can get. After that, we can worry about whatever Ronsdadt is planning."

Zell looked aghast as she saw what Lilith did, but Thiera stepped in, leaving little for Zell to do or say.

"Please put me down."

L"Very well. But I'm keeping tabs on you."

*She puts Hitomi down and takes her into the tunnels, holding onto her hand. Thiera clicks on a flashlight & punches some buttons into her phone as she walks.*

*Hitomi pulls and yanks her hand trying to get out Lilith's grasp.*

"Let me go."

Zell follows behind, her arms crossed in front of her as she walks.

*Lilith's grip shows no signs of weakening, even as they come into Thiera's basement & the stage lights come on to reveal the Megadeuses somehow already in their stocks waiting for them. The only thing that happens is that Hitomi's shoulder starts to ache. Thiera walks over to a panel & pushes a button, and a bunch of spider-like robots about the size of a vaccuum cleaner climb up each of the Megadeuses & start welding their armor together.*

T"This is going to take a while to fix. Hopefully, the military will have the sense to stall Big Duo. Now, new girl, is there any chance we can find more Megadeuses?"

*Hitomi shows no signs of stopping till' Lilith lets go, completely ignoring Thiera.*

"Let me go."

"Megadei..." Zell said curtly, looking away from Lilith towards Mirror Zero.

*Lilith squeezes her hand harder & Hitomi hears a crack.*

L"She asked you a question. Answer it. I don't like rude people."

*Hitomi's eyes widen as she gasps.*

"Let me go!"

Zell looks at Lilith, "Maybe you should just let her go." She said indignantly.

*Lilith looks up at Zell, her expression widening to puppy dog eyes. She releases her hand and looks pointedly away from anyone in the area.*

T"I'd say I apologize, but the truth is that I don't have much sympathy for someone who's probably a spy. You should be fine. I can tell from here that it's not broken. But if we don't beat Schwarzwald whenever he comes back, there's a good chance we're all going to die. So, regardless of who does not trust whom, I need you to tell me if you can find us any more Dominus of Megadeus."

*Hitomi shakes her hand then massages it, shooting a glare at Lilith.*

"Until today I only saw two others. That one when it attacked the city outside the dome and the one that assisted in neutralizing it."

*She points at Lilith's Megadeus when saying "That one"*

"I don't know if the other one is still in the city or not."

Zell saw Lilith's expression change and felt embarrassed, and a bit silly. She didn't say anything, but she made a point not to be rude anymore.

Lilith sees the glare. Deciding she's had enough of Hitomi's attitude, she picks her up, holds her above her head, & twists her in half, blood spilling down over her like a waterfall.

T"In that case, I have a phone on the wall. Go over to it and ask your 'commanding officer' if she can get any help."

*The ground starts shaking.*

T"Damn it, already!?"

Zell braces herself against a railing. "What was that?"

"I don't know the number. She contacts me."
