L"I don't know where Aamon's base is, but I can feel the Mortal's Reitsu nearby. It's weak...he must be unconscious. Or, with any luck, dying."

*This works on about 2 of them, but the next one stops it with his sword. The other 2 charge at & Noah. Noah blocks a slash & the other stabs at Kite.*

*Kite jumps back and swings his arm downward, calling the bladerang down upon the enemy.*

Noctis looked at Mammon, "Asmodeus, are you using your powers to get people to buy you things?"

Mortal stirred slightly, then woke, "I... I feel like someone called me a man... fucking Senthose..." With that she trailed back off to sleep.

*One of the trees nearby grows skulls, which drop to the ground & become more Arrancars like them.*

N"They can reproduce that quickly?!"

*Lilith & Euryale resituate themselves & then start walking towards Mortal's Reitsu.*

"What's that supposed to mean?!"

*Taiyo follows a long beside Euryale.*

"Tenran!" Kira barked from the sidelines where he had been observing the fight. The blast of wind was aimed for the freshly grown Arrancar and meant to blow them out of the way.
After his Kido had been used, her threw his now released javelin at the tree, meaning to cut it down.
"If the trees are growing these enemies, then it only makes sense to tear them down."

Calling on the last of her stored strength and energy, Kyoujin formed a final plan of attack.
"Well... thing is after a while I could hit you with so many needles..." She rasped, her throat feeling dry and torn, "In your weakened state.. the poison would take you... But I'm not going to waste any more time with words."
She dashed forwards, moving as fast as her legs would carry her and fired a Balla into the ground directly in between them, causing a large blast of sand and dust to obscure vision from the enemy's front.
She then fired another hail of needles through the sand cloud but sonido'd over the top of it, landing behind the Vasta Lordes before the needles had struck and attempting to grab him with her tentacles again.

*He blasts lightning around himself, which also causes another explosion.*

<You forget that I don't rely on sight!>

*He dashes towards the trees.*

*The tree explodes, shattering into dozens of crystalline shards. Noah slashes down with his Zanpakuto, destroying the Calveras with a blast of sound.*

N"True, but who knows how many of these there could be? We probably don't have time to seek out & destroy them all."

Raspy, high-pitched voice<What are you simpletons doing?>

*A Soul Reaper Captain with a face painted in a way that vaguely resembles an inverted-colored Faerie approaches the tree, stabbing it with his Zanpakuto.*

<Don't you know anything about plant-based lifeforms? If you don't destroy the roots, the branches only grow back!>

E"Walk downwind of her & find out."

*As they're walking, the sand billows up behind them, & forms into a humanoid upper body the size of a Gillian with a Mask like a cross between a mustached man & a sand castle. The new Hollow punches at the group.*

Kyoujin stumbled back again, coughing up a cupped handful of blood onto her left hand.
She considered her options for a moment before turning and dashing after her enemy.
"Cero Buscador!" She barked, firing three of her specialized tracking cero after the Vasta Lordes.

"Captain Mayuri?" Kira asked, looking at the newcomer.

*He turns around, firing an electrified Cero in both hands.*

Despite the fact that Mayuri was as unlikable as ever, Kira felt a huge relief to know that there were still living captains.
"Captain Mayuri!" Kira smiled, nodding his head in an immitation of a bow, "It is good to see that you are alive. How is it you have survived in this place on your own?"

Two of the Cero Buscador were attracted to and hit the electrified Cero, but the third passed on and continued chasing the Vasta Lordes.
"Cero Buscador!" Kyoujin barked and fired a fourth.

Kite: <Hi, hi. Now, I can use my Bankai to burn the trees down, but like Noah said, there are probably lots of them so maybe we should just keep moving and take down the ones who actually present an osbtacle to us.>

Noctis raised an eyebrow. "Didn't we kill you already like... a week ago?" Noctis looked over at Euryale, "I'm pretty sure you killed him; melted him." She looked back at the hollow, "How does one survive melting?"

Mortal rolled over again.

*Euryale erects a stone wall to stop the punch because no one else will.*

*He then opens his mouth, which extends all down the front of his body, & charges a Cero.*

Female Voice<As I recall, he got very close.>

*Soi Fon appears behind him.*

I've been leading what's left of the Stealth Force to destroy these Caleveras, but for every one that's killed, 5 more appear to take its place. Meanwhile, Captain Kurotsuchi has been trying to regain possession of his old lab. Then those Ryoka showed up. I don't know whose side they're on.>

Noctis looks at Euryale, "You know, you could melt him again. If he is simply a clone he should be able to die in the same way." She said, poofing away so that she wouldn't be hit by the charging cero.

Mortal shifts again, "...mfn... mufn... muffins... diving muffins..."

"I believe, Captain Soifon" Kira replied, "the Ryoka are working with Mr. Urahara, who also sent us here. Where do you think the trees are coming from?"

Kite: <Ryoka. Right.>

"Where did this guy come from?"

*Noah sighs.*

N"'Ryoka' means 'Invaders.' It's what they call unknown souls who enter the soul society illegally. Honestly, didn't they teach you anything in the academy?"

Soi Fon<There is a force, similar to my Stealth Force--but vastly inferior--called the Exequias. Their leader, a tree-like Hollow with a mask like a wild bull, generates these soldiers, called Calavera. These trees seem to have been planted so that he can create more Calavera in more areas. Additionally, the streets are roamed by Menos-level Hollows.>

*Mayuri wanders off.*

*The Hollow fires a Cero at them. Lilith jumps in front, unsheathing her sword to block. The petals hang in midair for a moment before becoming a torrent of flame. However, Rununganga just reassembles his body after it's blown apart & Lilith starts sinking into the sand.*

<You shall be devoured first.>

"Then should we try and find this tree like hollow and kill him?" Kira suggested.

*Taiyo draws her sword and stares about at the ground for where Blahblahblah will pop out.*

Soi Fon<Don't you think I've tried that?! It's difficult to kill him so long as he can still summon minions, even for a Captain.>

*As he's already up, he punches Taiyo & sends her flying. Euryale stomps on the ground, causing magma to burst up around him.*

*This time, something unexpected happens. The ground for hundreds of square feet starts to sink away. Euryale tries to jump, but just falls flat on her face.*

E"What the--I can't use my FullBring!"

L"I can't flash step, either!"

*And so the ground over top the group closes, & they fall into 2 separate tunnels.*

*The ceiling closes as they fall into a large, circular room with no visible exits & dim lighting. Venezuela stands in the center of the room in her unreleased state.*

V"What the Hell is this? I'm only interested in the Soul Reaper bitch. I knew Szayel would screw me over."

*On contrast to the above, they land in a small, square room surrounded by dozens of easily visible exits. The room's floor, ceiling, and walls--as well as those of the hallways--are entirely glowing. There is no way to leave a shadow. Euryale moves her foot around, producing a squishing noise.*

"Hey...this isn't rock!"

*An Arrancar slightly reminiscent of Senthose, but with pink hair and mask shards resembling glasses, steps into the room.*

???<I think I would be a poor host if I didn't introduce myself: I am Szayelapporo Granz. And you are all very interesting test subjects.>

*Taiyo stands up, groaning.*

"Damn..."

Kyoujin wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, panting heavily.
"Did... I... get you?..." She mumbled, stepping slowly over to the Vasta Lordes, "If you aren't... dead..."
Kyoujin's remaining, responsive tentacles all reared up before raining needles down onto the prostrate Vasta Lordes.
"Your life... would be a terrible thing to... waste" Kyoujin rasped before her tentacles flopped down to her sides and she toppled over onto the ground, feeling extremely worn out.

"With respect, Captain" Kira began, "I would have thought it child's play for yourself or Captain Kurotsuchi to simply poison it to death. But I guess I will find that out for myself... With the three of us here to help I don't doubt we can bring it down."

Soi Fon<I have no interest in the small fries. I just need to find a route to the Quincy. So don't get in my way.>

*She pulls out her butterfly swords & smacks her fists together.*

*The effect of this is that, once again, her clothes are ripped away & replaced with a new ensemble that bears her legs & midriff, & also gives her a tail.*

*Taiyo holds up her sword in front of her.*
