*As he pushes against Kite, Kite feels himself getting weaker. Then the boy punches him in the face because it's quite clear by now that he's a total asshole.*

*Starrk appears behind Taiyo & aims a kick at her back. Euryale jerks her hand, causing a wave of dust to turn into a metal vest on her back.*

*Taiyo skids to a stop. Struggling to keep her balance she turns around, biting at Starrk.*

Noctis floods Starrk with shadow clones from every direction, each wielding a blade. What makes this attempt different from the rest of the failed shadow attacks is that she is physically there as well, hidden in a exoskeleton of shadows. If he tried to simply use light to get rid of the attack he was going to get a devastatingly strong punch to the throat.

"Well, since the owner doesn't understand language, you're basically useless now" Kyoujin said, suddenly kneeling next to No Face before grabbing him by the neck, "I should just eat you."

Kira shunpo'd and pushed Kite out of harms way before the blow landed, having it land on his own shoulder instead and blocking the boy's blade with his own.
"No one has to die now!"

*Kite falls aside, groaning.*

Kite: <(Dammit...)>

*He sheathes his Zanpakuto and flash steps behind the boy, spin kicking at his sword arm.*

*Starrk generates katanas of blue energy and begins hacking away, blocking Taiyo, then a few clones. He looks up in time to see Senthose fucking off.*

[I see...so that's how it is.]

*He twists the blade, mostly ignoring the kick.*

*Taiyo bites at his leg.*

Sab blushes lightly as she reclines into Mortal's welcoming body. "This has been the best indeterminate amount of time I've ever had in my entire life." She said, "Thank you."

Mortal wraps her arms around her as she leans back. "I think I'm the one that should be thanking you, Sab."

Sab blushes and completely relaxes into Mortal's embrace, "You know, your friends are in a pretty heated battle, don't you think we should help."

Mortal sighed, "I'm not fast... so I don't really help people out in fights unless I'm already in said fight."

*Unfortunately for Noctis, it takes a real post to kill Starrk. He keeps deflecting attacks.*

*He winces when Taiyo bites him. Lilith causes 6 rods of light to slam into his midsection, then mutters something to keep him immobilized.*

*Senthose walks up with Ulquiorra, whom he points to.*

"Sab, you've met Ulquiorra. Funny, FUNNY guy, EVERYTHING he says is HILARIOUS."

"PFAHAHAHAHA! What'd I tell you? Anyway, we're heading to the Soul Society to get rid of our little 'problems' once & for all."

<Should I retrieve Venezuela & Kyoujin? I sense they're the only other Arrancar who are not dead or near dead.>

"No, leave them behind. With any luck, the former will take a vow of silence & the latter will stupid herself to death."

Kite: <What the hell is wrong with you?!>

*Taiyo bites down harder and tries to rip Starrk's leg off.*

*Starrk manages to break out of the Six Rod Light Prison, yanking his ragged & bloody leg out of Taiyo's mouth. He then slashes down at her only for the cracked armor on her back to explode in his face like a grenade & swords of blue energy to come out of the fragments & pierce him from all sides. His legs quiver for a second, then he falls to his knees, his mask fragment dissolving & cracks emerging from his Hollow hole.*

Starrk<I wonder...could things have been different...if I just had different friends?>

*The unknown boy flips into the air, making a slash that fires sharp teeth at them.*

*Growling, Taiyo crouches and pounces on Starrk. She then begins mauling him.*

[If I can't use my Zanpakuto... then what?!]

*Ark flash steps in front of the boy and swings a kick at his neck.*

*As Starrk starts to disintegrate, Lilith appears behind Taiyo & grabs one of her claws.*

L"He's already dead."

*He blocks, but Nel appears behind him, slashing down his armor. He lets out a scream & goes limp, right before swinging his foot backwards into her stomach & landing on the ground again.*

*Taiyo continues biting at Starrk till' all she starts getting is mouthfuls of sand before she returns to normal and is lying face-down in the sand.*

"I don't feel good."

*Kite decides to try his Zanpakuto again and appears by the boy's side, stabbing him sideways.*

Kyoujin snapped No Name's neck and ate him, twitching and sighing happily as his power became hers. Then she just started walking away.

"Hainawa!" Kira yelled, testing to see how well Kido would work against the boy.

Noctis blinks away her power and walks over to Euryale, "You alright?" She asked, bending down next to her, a sad look in her eyes.

Sab nodded, "Yes, we've met before."

*Ulquiorra waves a hand, the sky splitting open to reveal the Soul Society. He points at Sab.*

<If she comes with us, she will just end up getting killed. Perhaps one of us should simply kill and eat her now.>

"Sometimes I wonder why you're still single. Allow me to answer in the following manner."

*He slashes at Sab's neck, but before the blade reaches her throat, she reflexively teleports herself & Mortal several feet away.*

<I see. You want to use her to compensate for Mortal's lack of speed. But how did you know the Hollow could teleport?>

"Any Hollow that survives this long while being so weak obviously has an ace in the hole. So to speak."

*Ulquiorra looks up.*

<Starrk is no more.>

"All the more reason for us to get moving, then."

*The armor eats up both the Kido & a small chunk of Kite's Zanpakuto. He starts laughing until a whip of light streaks out, slicing his weapon in half. The 3 Quincy are standing atop a wall behind them, Salar pointing his bow at the boy. Subhan raises his hand & a bow made of overlapping blue razor rings appears on his arm, which he points at Nel.*

Salar<I do not profess to know what is going on here, but this fight is over regardless.>

*Taiyo remains on the ground, moaning softly.*

"Lily's skin's so soft."

Noctis smiled weakly, "That is good to hear." She then sat back onto the sand. "I'm fine, its just... I didn't think it would be this hard. Up until now we've simply been fighting regular hollows, now we're neck deep in a war that we rightly have no place in, and our friends are getting maimed, or worse." Noctis bit her lip, "And there isn't anything I can do about it. I don't know if we should be doing this Euryale, what would I do if something happened to you?"

Sab saw the blade coming and grabbed Mortal's hand tightly before blinking away from harm's way entirely. They reappeared a few feet away, Sab giving Senthose a dirty look. "You could have simply asked like Mortal did. There was no reason to attack."

Mortal simply shrugged, "Told you he was a douche bag. You should listen to me more often." She said, putting her arm around Sab. "Now, lets get out of this place. I'm not a fan of the sand."

"You'll get over it."

*Ulquiorra steps through the Garganta, followed by Senthose. They walk a short path, reappearing atop the Sokyoku, where they can see the battle taking place near Aamon's lab.*

E"I...I don't know. But...looking at Lilith, I know that if we were ever in trouble, she'd charge into Hell to save us. That's more than I can say about Gevurah. All these years, & he's never even been to ONE FullBringer meeting. Now we're in this mess, & he goes & disappears into the Soul Society with that creepy kid."

*She turns to Noctis, her eyes watering.*

E"Why didn't he bring Asmodeus with him? We all knew she was the weakest. Why isn't he here, leading us right now? Are we just cannon fodder to him?"

Noctis didn't know what happened, one second she was on the verge of tears, and the next Euryale was the one about to cry, Euryale was a shitty person to seek comfort from. Noctis put her hands on Euryale's shoulders, "Hey, hey..." Noctis said softly, "Everything is going to be alright. Whether we're fodder or not doesn't really matter much now, we're already here. What matters is that we make it out of this, that we protect eachother, and make sure we don't lose anyone we care about."

*Taiyo slowly sits up, crossing an arm over her chest.*
