Sins of the Father

Ark: <Thank you.>

*Ark feels like stabbing Ingrid because she's apparently trying to kill them all. He holds his hand towards the Ronso and starts casting Aeroga on each of them.*

*At this stage, only 4 Ronso are left standing.*

"That's enough! Try to keep them from moving somehow!"

*She waves her hand, a gray aura overcoming all of them, causing them to run forward in slow motion.*

"They're moving slow, Ark, why don't you use your speed and put their legs out of commission so we can get moving."

[Now she wants to take it easy. After almost killing us all.]

*Ark opens his arms and the Ronso's attentions are drawn to him as he taunts them.*

Ark: <Hey slowpokes, catch me if you can!>

*He then quickly motions the others to head on towards the Fayth.*

Ingrid takes the signal and heads over towards the Fayth.

*Hitomi begins casting Protect on everyone, but Luna who she had casted Protect on before.*

*Luna meditates in front of the Fayth, & soon ghostly images of all of the people are tearing themselves from the wall, floating around them. An old man steps forward. All of the other Fayth are singing the Hym.*

"Firstly, I want to thank you for saving us."

*He nods.*

"Now, about that Unsent you saved us FROM--"

<We recall. He was possessing Maester Belias. As to who he is, we cannot say. We know only that he dresses as Bevelle Royalty, & so he must be truly ancient. Perhaps even older than Sin.>

*Hitomi hangs back staring at the floor.*

"Do you have any idea where we may find him?" Ingrid asked.

*Meanwhile, Ark's frolicking around with his new Ronso friends.*

*One of them shoves a horn up his ass.*

<...I just said I don't. Twice.>

*Ark continues to Hastily run around waiting for the others.*

Ingrid tilted her head to the side, "Sorry, I thought you said you didn't know who he was, not that you didn't know where he may have gone."

*She goes from staring at the floor to staring at the bracelet on her wrist.*

[I did it again. I compromised the entire operation because I... got attached to Luna and didn't want to let go.]

*She looks at her hand.*

[But I did let go and have no way or reaching her again. Nothing wix what I did. I don't deserve forgiveness, her friendship, or anything other than retribution.]

*She looks to the exit.*

[But that would just be fleeing from everything I've done to complicate the Pilgrimage.]

*Sort of difficult with the 2 feet of horn broken off into his ass.*

<Might I ask why you are searching for him?>

"We believe he might be behind a conspiracy to propogate & experiment on Sinspawn."

<Ah. Then perhaps you are going about things the wrong way.>

"Explain."

<You now have everything required to enter Sin's body & destroy Yu Yevon. Should that happen, Sin will vanish forever. If this Unsent has a plan that hinges on Sin's survival, he will come to you. All you have to do is complete your pilgrimage, Summoner Luna.>

Ingrid giggled a bit, "And here I thought things would be hard, all we have to do is kill Sin."

*Hitomi cringes.*

[But wouldn't that mean Luna dies too?]

*All of the Fayth fade away.*

"...Alright, everyone. You heard the man. Let's go back to the airship & prepare."

"Wait, you're serious. Lets put aside the fact that I'm not as confident as they are that we can kill the civilization ending whale, but completing your pilgrimage means you die too!" Ingrid said, "I'm not okay with that."

"I will continue to live for as long as Sin does. It's...it's just the only way."

Ingrid was going to say something but her words caught in her throat. After a few seconds she managed to say, "But you're my friend, and I can't lose you."

*Dragging her feet, Hitomi heads to the airship.*

"I'm just a relic from a thousand years of terror. Spira will be better off without Sin. Without me. This...this is the way it always had to end. You knew that, even before all of this. Only this time, Sin won't come back again. We couldn't have possibly hoped for better."

*Luna heads back to the airship as well.*

Ingrid bit her lip, and turned to where she thought Hitomi was for backup, thinking surely she wouldn't want Luna to do something like that, but she was no where to be found. When she turned back Luna was gone too. Ingrid grinded her teeth before letting out a yell. After a few calming breaths she began to go look for Ark.

*Abaord the airship, Hitomi retreats to her rooms, locks herself in and sits with her back against the door.*

[I don't want Luna to die. She shouldn't have to. I'm supposed to protect her, but recently I've just been a burden. I want to say or do something, but I'm afriad I'll just be more of a burden.]
