The War of Paradigm City

T"It goes both ways. I'm sure if Lilith heard you talking like that, she'd say it was ridiculous. That it doesn't make sense to be attached to an android. Or a human, for that matter. But it's odd. I have seen androids with emotions, ones much less sophisticated than Lilith. I have to wonder...why is she like this? Did I do something wrong when activating her? Or is her lack of emotions a specific design feature?"

*She drops the mask down over her face & waits for Zell to do the same.*

"Maybe she does feel, and she just keeps it all to herself," Zell said, pulling down her mask, "I mean, who really knows?"

T"It seems unlikely to me that she could be such a dedicated actor 24/7."

*She proceeds to weld replacement sections of pipes into Lilith, taking out the stoppers she put in as she goes.*

"I know... I think I'm just grasping at straws now. It would actually be a bit weirder if she were keeping emotions a secret," Zell said, taken by Thiera's workmanship.

OOC: Weirdest. Fetish. EVER.

T"It is difficult to say what she might be capable of, yet we're not seeing. I've examined the contents of her memory circuits, but most of it is completely incomprehensible. And any attempts to save it have failed. I don't know what I was expecting, really."

*Thiera starts running wires throughout the android's abdomen, securing them together with some kind of sticky puddy plastic stuff.*

OOC: I. Fucking. KNOW.

Zell is just staring by this point, behind her mask it looks less awkward.

*Once all of the internal wiring is fixed up, Thiera takes off the mask, grabs the hammer and the metal sheets, and starts hammering one of them into a half-hourglass shape.*

T"After the incident with Aamon's sniping robot, I had the foresight to create duplicates of most of Lilith's bodyparts. I should have her up and running in just a few hours."

Zell just nodded, taking off her mask as well. Feeling responsible for Lilith getting sniped in the first place that was not a memory she wanted to be reminded of.

*Once she was done hammering out the torso shape, Thiera donned thick black gloves and heavy duty tongs, and began replacing Lilith's bodyparts. Once everything was in position and screwed or welded in, she welded the two halves of the hammer-molded torso together. About four hours later, she takes all of her equipment off, wiping sweat off of her brow.*

T"Now all I have to do is plug her in and re-mold the skin. Thank God most of it is still there."

"Thank god, indeed," Zell felt a bit like a louse after saying that.

*After getting a quick drink, it only takes about 45 minutes to do all of this.*

T"I may not be able to reproduce that stuff, but it is surprisingly easy to work with. Hmm...I think Lilith might need some new clothes. Her shirt is so ripped up that it's practically falling off."

"What a shame," Zell said, "Should I get her in my pants, er, should I get her something to wear, such as some of my extra pants, or shirts?" Zell sounded slightly robotic as she stammered, and tried to cover up her Freudian slip.

OOC: She just saw Thiera literally reassemble Lilith's chest from scrap metal. How is that not a massive turn-off?

T"Ahh...yes, that would be good. I think your shirts will fit her."

OOC: Weirdest. Fetish. EVAR!

"I'll go get some then," Zell goes off to get some clothes and comes back.

*Mostly for simplicity's sake, by the time she gets back, Lilith has been fully recharged. She sits up and pulls a cord out of a plug hidden in her hair. Noticing the shredded remains of her shirt, she just grabs it and rips it off, revealing that she does in fact have a synthetic, anatomically correct chest. Thiera blushes a bit.*

L"Is something the matter?"

T"Nothing, it's just...rebuilding you by hand was somewhat...uncomfortable."

L"Yes, I imagine it must have been quite labor-intensive, particularly for someone who cannot even bend a pipe without assistance. I appreciate your effort to repair me."

Zell tries not to stare, and for the most part she fails horribly, "I, uh, got you clothes."

*Lilith stands up, walks over, takes the shirt, and begins putting it over her head.*

L"Where is Rozengeist?"

T"I don't know. We had to leave it behind."

L"...I see."

Zell feels her face flush with blood so bad even her ears are pink.

L"Are you sure nothing is wrong? You both have the same symptoms, and Zell's are even more severe. Perhaps you require medical attention?"

"No, no, I'm fine," Zell said, stumbling over her words as she did so.

L"Are you quite certain? Unless my color receptors are malfunctioning, I believe your faces are abnormally pigmented."

"It'll go back to normal," Zell replied. "So, is everything alright with you now?"

L"My systems appear to be approximately 90% restored."

T"I feared as much. It seems I'm not able to reproduce the lost technology that makes up your being."

L"It will be sufficient."

Zell frowned, knowing that Lilith wouldn't be the same.

L"Is Barbatos still going to destroy Vera Ronstadt?"

*Thiera scoffs.*

T"If she hasn't already, she'll be making her move soon enough. I imagine Aamon was the closest thing that duo had to a voice of reason."
