Arthur<That is also possible.>

Gilgamesh<No. We would have noticed the light emitted from his use of the ley lines, even if I couldn't feel his exit. He is still here somewhere.>

Noct made a spiked wall of shadow from the ground to the ceiling, and began moving it forward, "We'll find him soon enough."

Gilgamesh<Not that I wish to ruin your dramatic moment, but he might have burrowed into the ground, or rendered himself intangible.>

"Fucking weird ass magic..."

*Noctis is knocked over by something jabbing into her back. Fortunately, it hits the chains.*

Noctis turns around with eight arms, each wielding a sword, ready to kill whatever stabbed her.

*Mordred raises an eyebrow at this. Then his sword glows and he swings, blasting her with bright light.*

Noct squints, then attacks from 8 angles.

*Having already weakened her shadow arms, Mordred pays no mind to the lower ones. The upper arms, he blocks with his sword and his armored left arm. He makes sure to cut one of the arms off so he can get ahold of her jacket, which he tries to pull off. After Gilgamesh appears behind him, he has to spin his sword and block several strikes from axes he holds in either hand.*

Noct avoids this brazen attempt to unclothe her by using her strongest attack: the almighty FULL NELSON! Performed by her shadow clone.

*Mordred rips its arms off by flexing. When Arthur and Gilgamesh both try to attack him, he causes the mist to move around him like a tornado, and a hole to open up at the top of the cave. The tornado disappears with him through the hole, being replaced by a sun beam, indicating that the hole goes up to the surface. The lighted cavern also shows that Selecus has disappeared.*

"Well, that didn't go as planned," Noct said, "Assuming there was a plan."

Arthur<He might still be up there. Gilgamesh!>

Gilgamesh<Right away.>

*He grabs Noctis around the waist and jumps through the hole in the roof, Arthur jumping after they do. They arrive just in time to see Mordred and a bunch of big rocks disappear in a flash. Selecus is standing nearby.*

Gilgamesh<He sent them all in different directions...now I can't tell what went where. He is crafty.>

Arthur<Where did he go? What was he here for?>

Selecus<Hey, what makes you think I know, Your Majesty?>

"He is just as much an enemy of him as we are," Noct said, "Why would he know?"

Arthur<If they are such great foes, then why did Mordred not strike him down when he had the chance?>

Selecus<Oh, come, now you're just leaping to paranoid conclusions.>

Noct furrowed her brow, "Arthur makes a good point. You don't seem particularly shaken by the attack either."

*Selecus sighs.*

Selecus<You just couldn't leave well enough alone, could you?>

*He draws a hidden pistol and aims it at Arthur's face. Before he fires, Gilgamesh dashes in front of him, taking the bullet in the back. He empties it and watches Gilgamesh fall before tossing away. Gilgamesh coughs.*

Selecus<What? Seriously? You're still alive? Oh well. I was hoping to kill one of you, but I've evened the odds enough.>

During Selecus' assault, Noct aimed five swords at his back and stabbed at him all at once during his little speech.

*Once again, the swords fail to pierce his coat. He looks back at them, scoffing slightly.*

Selecus<Yes, keep trying the same attack plan over and over again, I'm sure it will work eventually.>

*Arthur swings at him, blanketing him with a stream of fire. The khopesh comes spinning out of the blaze and quite handily smashes his sword in half. Selecus snaps his fingers and it speeds back to his hand.*

Selecus<I was talking to the girl, but you should really follow my advice as well. Or should have, anyway.>

Noct takes his advice and tries for a shadow clone punch to the face, the clone's knuckles spiked, as if wearing brass knuckles.

*Just before the shadow makes contact with his face, its fist dissolves, spikes & all. He's about to attack Noctis when Arthur kicks him in the stomach. He is sent sprawling, but stands up, seemingly no worse for the wear.*

From the new distance, Noct tries to put a bullet into Selecus with her rifle, aiming for his gut.

*Much the same thing happens, with Selecus being knocked back by the force, but suffering no damage.*

Selecus<I really wish you'd stop-->

*He ducks as Arthur takes a swing at his head with the broken sword. He then hooks the hilt with the back-facing point at the top & jerks it, destroying the rest of the weapon.*

Noct shoots again, this time just to spite Selecus.
